~Chapter 9~
(A/N: Remember to vote and comment!)

"My sister has white hair." Aelita said as she looked down onto her phone.

"That means..."

*Knock knock*

"Aelita! Thank god! Everyone was looking for you. We thought you were captured by XANA and-" Jenny paused when she realised Aelita was just staring blankly onto her phone.

She slowly walked towards her strangely motionless pink-haired friend.

"Aelita... Are you okay?" Jenny whispered.

Aelita immediately looked up, which caused Jenny to jump back from shock.

"My sister isn't XANA." Aelita said.

"Listen. Don't listen to what Jeremy and Odd said, you have your-"

"No! I mean it, XANA isn't my sister."

"Then... who exactly is your sister? Any clues?"

"She's here."

"Here? In this school?"

Aelita nodded.

"Then, let's go find her! What're you waiting for?" Jenny grabbed Aelita's hand, ready to track down Aelita's mysterious sister.

However, Aelita didn't budge.

"What's wrong? Don't you want to meet your sister?" Jenny asked.

"I want to. It's just..." Aelita looked straight into Jenny's eyes.

"Just?"

"My sister's right in front of me."

"What?!" Jenny backed away from Aelita.

She couldn't believe the words that spilled out from Aelita's mouth.

"You can't be serious!" Jenny exclaimed in disbelief.

"Jenny, my sister has white hair." Aelita said and pointed and Jenny's long white hair.

"How did you know? Maybe your sister has pink hair, like you! Or red!" Jenny tried to reason with Aelita.

Aelita dragged Jenny towards her laptop and showed her the video.

"See? My sister has white hair." Aelita crossed her arms to and showed the 'I told you so' attitude.

"Okay, your sister has white hair. So what? There are other people who have white hair!" Jenny swung her arms around in attempt to show that she's trying to make a point.

Aelita grabbed Jenny's hands and said,
"Jenny, you are the only one. I mean, ONLY one that's able to do anything to the towers back at Lyoko. You could deactivate the tower and XANA's monsters weren't after me, they were always after you."

Jenny is officially speechless.

What Aelita said made sense.

"And... You can sense my mother.
Our mother." Aelita looked into Jenny eyes, trying to read her.

"I..." Jenny spoke.

Then she shook her head.

"It can't be. I lost my family in an accident, car accident. Everyone says so." Jenny said.

Aelita's hopes dropped drastically.

"Oh." Was all she could say, "I'm really sorry to hear that."

"Look, i'm sorry too. Maybe your sister is here, on earth. I'm just not her. Hey, have hope. We'll find her, I promise." Jenny smiled as she raised Aelita's head up.

Aelita forced out a small smile and turned back to her laptop.

"Then, I don't get it. Why... you?" Aelita asked, turning back to Jenny again.

"What me?"

"You. Why is XANA trying to get you? Why... Why do you have access to the tower? Why can you sense my mom or even hear her lullaby when you have never met her before?" Aelita furrowed her brows.

Jenny shrugged, "Maybe i'm new? Or maybe IT IS because i'm new and that makes your sister, XANA, she just finds it easier to contact someone that way."

Aelita thought for awhile.

"No, no... My sister's here on earth remember?" Aelita sighed.

"Oh yeah... I was just you know, testing you. To see if you really know what're you doing." Jenny led out an awkward laugh.

"Yeah, yeah..." Aelita smiled for awhile.

And then that smile disappeared.

Her sister's whereabouts are unknown. She doesn't even know what she looks like. She can't use the photo of her sister when her sister had black hair. And she must've changed a lot.

"Ugh!" Aelita grumbled and slammed her fist onto her table.

Jenny placed her hand on Aelita's shoulders.

"We will find her. But, we need a little more help." Jenny had a cheeky grin on her face.

"Oh no. No, i'm not talking to him."

"Yes you are. You know he has the brains."

Aelita crossed her arms and pouted, "No. Absolutely not."

"Come on..." Jenny raised her brow, "He feels real guilty on this, I know you wanna call him."

"I-"

"Just say yes already!" Jenny laughed.

"Okay, fine!" Aelita picked up her phone and called Jeremy.

Jenny smiled at her achievement and plopped herself down onto Aelita's bed, swinging her legs happily.

When the call ended, Jenny looked at Aelita cheekily.

"What?" Aelita asked.

"Someone's happy." Jenny joked.

"No... I'm not! I'm still kinda mad at him."

"For what? For saying the truth?"

"No! I just... I thought he would support me on this."

"Sometimes, just sometimes, boys can be smarter. You were just blinded by the fact that you wanted to find your sister and you forgot to think rationally, that's all." Jenny said.

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?"

"C'mon... You know exactly what I mean." Jenny said, emphasizing on the word 'exactly'.

Aelita rolled her eyes.

What Jenny said was the truth, Aelita knew that she was just too eager and she forgot how to think.

"Fine! I was a little too crazy... I just- knowing now that i'm not alone in this world is just amazing! You know? I didn't mean to make him feel bad."

"I know... Jeremy understands too." Jenny patted her shoulder.

Aelita led out a deep sigh.

She felt guilty. She made her boyfriend worry and feeling all guilty about her and it was because she was just very heated and eager.

(A/N:I think all of us Code Lyoko fans can understand. Amirite guys? Aelita is a sweet girl and she's hardly angry at anyone. Besides, she lost her family. I think she shouldn't be blamed for what happened.)

"Hey, cheer up. I bet you that Jeremy will rush in here, hug you super tightly and then kiss you on the lips." Jenny said, feeling extremely confident.

Aelita blushed. (She's a shy girl.)

"Awh, cute." Jenny squished Aelita's face together and cooed.

"Okay, stop! By the way, where are you sleeping?" Aelita asked.

"Now that you brought it up..." Jenny took out a crumpled piece of paper from her pocket and sped read it through.

Her face broke into a huge smile.

"Well, where-"

"I'm your new roommate!" Jenny squealed and jumped around the room.

Aelita cheered and both of them hugged each other.

At that moment, Aelita didn't feel empty. She felt, like a whole. It was like as if she found something she had lost for a very long time.

It felt like...

She had a family.

But as soon as Jenny pulled away from the hug, the feeling left Aelita in a snap.

"I'm going to get my stuff! Be right back!" Jenny said and dashed out of the door, almost colliding with Jeremy.

"Sorry!" Jeremy quickly apologised and ran into Aelita's room.
