Bob couldn't shake the bad feeling he had since Elizabeth had called, yes Adam was angry but for him to not pick the kids up when he said he would was not like him.

"Honey, I need to go see if I can track Adam down, none of this is sitting well with me" he kissed Annie, "I love you, try to enjoy Drew, Adam will be ok" he grabbed Amy's arm, "come outside for a minute" once outside he started, "I'm worried, please call me right away if you hear from Adam or Kim's parents, something is very wrong"

"I will honey, will you do the same. I'm going to see if I can't get through to Kim" she told him, "once I leave here I'm going to the hotel"

"Thanks!" He kissed her and headed out.

Adam took the mug and sat down, he released a sigh of relief, "thank god" he said aloud, "I was scared for a minute" he told them as he took a swig of coffee, "can I get some aspirin or something"

Tyler banged the cup on his tray, Adam flinching with each sound "how the hell did I end up here, I don't remember a thing"

Jay smiled, "you thought you went home with some chick, didn't you? Adam, you ended up shit faced at Molly's Dawson's little sister called him, and he called me" he handed him the two pills, "it was pretty pitiful, what the hell happened man?"

Adam hung his head, "I caught my wife with another man at the bar of the hotel she checked into" he watched them as they exchanged puzzled looks with each other.

"What? Adam none of the makes any sense, why did Kim check into a hotel?" Erin asked as she handed Tyler some more of his sandwich, "and who was the other guy?"

Adam set the mug down, "I don't know Erin, I didn't find out his name. The doctor gave her some bad news and this is how she is dealing with it I guess. It's fucking with my head" he suddenly remembered the kids, "shit, I need to get my kids"

"Your truck isn't here, we left it at Molly's. Give me a minute and I will run you up to get it"'Jay told him, "I'm assuming your broke your hand on his face, right?"

"You know it" Adam told him, "it's all a big mess"

Adam turned his phone on, it immediately blew up with voice mail alerts he had messages from Kim's parents, his dad, Amy, and Annie.

Kim had started to call Adam at least ten times already each time deciding against it for one reason or another, she was about to call him when she heard a knock.

"Hi Amy" she was embarrassed she knew Adam probably told her about last night, "come in" she said softly "you'll have to excuse the mess, I had a bit of a meltdown"

"I imagine you did, Adam had one too" she smiled softly, "have you heard from him at all today, no one can find him" she explained.

"No, I haven't seen him since last night" she felt sick, "who has my children?" Suddenly feeling guilty, "what have I done?"

Amy patted her arm, "nothing that can't be fixed, the kids stayed with your parents, Annie and Derek's baby is here" she pulled the picture up on her phone, "he's perfect, his name is Andrew Robert, they're calling him Drew" she smiled.

"He's sweet" she felt tears spring to her eyes, "did Adam tell you about last night? I swear nothing happened, as soon as Adam left I came up here, alone"she pointed to the destruction "and did this, I figured I destroyed my marriage why stop there"

"Kim you didn't destroy your marriage, Adam is hurt but he still loves you" she told her, "he broke his hand hitting that man though"

The guilt continued to build, "I hurt him, Amy."

"You need to fix it, don't let this grow any bigger, fight for him"

"I don't want him to hate me, to wake up one morning wishing he had left me. I don't want him to hate having to do everything because I can't, that's what's going to end up happening. I'm helpless"

"Stop talking like that! Would you leave Adam if the roles were reversed?" Amy watched her, "you don't have to say it I already know the answer" she smiled, "call my stepson, tell him you're coming home"

"I don't know if I can do that, not after last night. He hates me" she could see it in his eyes, "I don't blame him either, Amy I lied to that man, I made up some story as to why I was in Chicago" the more she talked the worse she felt, "I would understand it if he hated me"

"Listen, I need to get back to Annie you need to call Adam, better yet go home. Your kids miss you and so does Adam" a knock on the door startling them both, "sit I will get it"

Adam was surprised to see Amy answer the door, "Where have you been, you had everyone worried!" Amy told him.

"I'm sorry, I ended up having a few too many, Halstead picked me up. I crashed at his house" he said sheepishly, "how's Kim?"

"Go talk to her, I need to get back to your sister and little Drew" she told him.

"Drew, huh? I like it" he kissed her cheek, "let my dad know I'm okay, please"

"Don't give up on her, she didn't give up on you"

"I won't" Adam smiled as he closed the door, he was amazed at the condition of the room "what happened in here?"

Kim looked at the floor, "I did, well me and my trusty friend" she held the cane up, "Adam, I don't know what to say"

He sat down, "nothing, say nothing"
