"I had a great time today," Sloane told Ferris.
They were both standing in her backyard, having just been dropped off by Cameron.
"Yeah. It was pretty cool."
"Do you... Do you think Cameron's gonna be okay?"
"Oh, yeah. Yeah, sure. For the first time in his life. He's gonna be just fine, especially with ____ still there with him."
The two stared lovingly into each others eyes for a moment, just enjoying the others presence. A smirk found its way to Sloane's lips, and her words broke the silence.
"You knew what you were doing when you woke up this morning, didn't you?" She asked knowingly.
Ferris looked taken back as he responded. "Me? Nah."
He paused for a moment and then leaned in to kiss Sloane. He then grabbed her hand and looked down at the watch on her wrist.
"Oh, shit. I have to go." He leaned in and quickly pecked her again before starting to make his way towards the gate. "I'll call you tonight."
"Okay," She breathed out while turning around to watch him leave.
Ferris broke into a slow sprint and jumped over the low wall by the stairs, making his way towards the gate.
"I love you!" Sloane called after him.
"I love you, too!" He called back, grabbing a hold of the top of the gate and jumping it.
"He's gonna marry me," Sloane spoke to herself, a smile gracing her lips.

"Sorry about the mess," Cameron spoke as he entered his room, ____ trailing along behind him.
He went over to his bed and began to gather up all of the tissue scattered across the floor and the few dishes that lined the 'L' shaped stand in the corner behind it. As he left to take care of everything he had just picked up, ____ went over and opened the curtains, allowing the sunlight to flood the room from the windows that made up the walls. She smiled at the view of the surrounding forest before flopping down on his bed and closing her eyes, relaxing as she waited for Cameron to return.
"You know, I've always been jealous of the view you get in this place," ____ spoke with her eyes still closed as Cameron reentered his room.
A small smile graced his lips as he looked down at her peaceful figure, eyes closed, arms and legs sprawled out, and her hair splayed out behind her head. Her eyes opened and she looked over at him, catching his gaze. She smiled back before rolling onto her side, staring out the window and creating more space for him to join her.
His eyes flickered towards the window and then back down at her. "Yeah, I guess it's not so bad," he replied and went to take a seat on the edge of his bed next to her.
"It's better than a boring grey road that only gets some color when the occasional car passes by. Or workaholic parents who care more about your brother and don't give a rats ass about any thing you do," ____ spoke before rolling on her other side to face Cameron, a sad smile on her lips.
"Hey," He looked down at her and moved so he was sitting completely on his bed and facing her, "no need to be so down. You've got Ferris, Sloane, and I. I can assure you that we all give a rats ass about you, and even if they don't, I do," he told her with sincerity in his eyes and voice.
"Thanks, Cam," She told him, sitting up and giving him a hug, "It's nice to know someone understands me and cares."
"Anytime," He said giving her a hug back, smiling.
This was one of his favorite moments; being alone with ____. When it was just the two of them, she always seemed more open, trusting him with her secrets and problems; knowing he wouldn't judge her with everything he had to deal with himself.
But that was one of the reasons ____ hated coming to him; knowing he already had enough to deal with in his home life, she didn't want to burden him with her own troubles and make him worry. Still, moments like these, being in his reassuring and comforting warmth, she couldn't help but continue to go to him.
"Anyways," ____ spoke, breaking their hug, "I'm a bit hungry, what you got to eat?"
Cameron chuckled at her before standing up and guiding the way towards the kitchen to show her.

After grabbing a quick little snack, the two were now seated on one of the many luxurious couches in Cameron's living room, watching MTV. The fire in the middle of the living room was on, heating the house, and yet ____ still wore Cameron's hockey jersey, complaining of being cold. The sky had dimmed a bit, signaling that it was some time in the late afternoon, probably around 5. Looking around, ____ noticed in the window behind Cameron how the sun was peeking through some of the trees at just the right angle.
"Cameron," ____ spoke up.
"Hmm?"
"Can I borrow a piece of paper and a pencil?"
"Sure," he then got up and wondered off to his fathers office to snatch one.
He came back and handed her what she requested, along with a book to use as a hard surface.
"What'd you need 'em?" He asked her as he sat back down.
"Just got some inspiration for a sketch," she told him, now concentrating one the task before her.
After that, the two were quiet, the only noise filling the air was that of the TV and the pencil ____ was using scratching against the paper. The two didn't mind though, simply enjoying the others presence. Occasionally, ____ would glance up from her drawing catching Cameron's attention a few times, but he never spoke.
"And, done!" ____ exclaimed happily as she signed the sketch and threw the pencil onto the coffee table in front of them, drawing in Cameron's attention.
"Can I see?" He asked, curious at to what in his house could possible inspire a half an hour drawing.
"Nope!" ____ spoke with a smile, holding it to her chest so he couldn't.
"Come on!" He went to reach for it but she turned so her back was facing him.
"Fine," he gave in and went back to watching TV.
____ glanced at him before shrugging and putting the picture face down on the table. She then grabbed another one and began messing with it. A little while later, Cameron got up to go to the bathroom. ____ got up while he was gone and grabbed her drawing, bringing it with her. She walked into his room, folded it in half, and placed it under his pillow. Then she went over and started messing around with his plasma ball.
Meanwhile, Cameron had gotten back to the living room, only to find her gone. Knowing her, she was probably in his room, so he went there first. And of course, there he found her, messing with his plasma ball.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"Not much, just messing with this thing," she said innocently, smiling up at him like a small child.
"Cute," he said down to her, causing a light pink to dust her cheeks.
"No, that's you," She cheekily replied. Now it was Cam's turn to blush.
"Yeah, whatever," her then went over and sat on his bed once again.
"Hey! Don't 'whatever' me, mister," She pouted and sat next to him.
Cameron sighed and flopped onto his back, his feet still hanging off the edge of the bed. ____ mimicked him, except her head wasn't as far back on the bed as his was with their obvious height difference. After a moment of silence, Cameron rolled over and began drawing different patterns on ____ side, soliciting a giggle from her as it began to tickle.
"Quit it," she giggled and rolled onto the side he was tickling, allowing her to face him.
They gazed into one another's eyes for a while, neither moving and inch.
"You have really pretty blue eyes," ____ mindlessly spoke.
"Your eyes are prettier," He replied.
A blush rose to ____ cheeks when she realized she actually said that out loud. "Thanks," she cast her gaze downwards, avoiding his.
Her hands began fidgeting with the end of Cameron's jersey as she laid their embarrassed.
Swallowing, Cameron settled his worried mind, but his heart continued to race. He reached his hand over and tentatively grabbed one of hers, causing her to freeze slightly, but stop her fidgeting.
____ glanced up at him and was met with his warm gaze and a nervous, yet reassuring smile.
Her gaze cast downwards again and she began to mess with Cameron's fingers.
"____," his voice softly broke the silence.
"Hmmm?" Her gaze slowly turned back up to meet his.
"C... Can I-" He froze for a second, swallowing his pride. A sigh escaped his lips yet again.
"Cam?" ____ gaze was a bit worried as she sat up a bit, now gazing down at him for once.
"Can I kiss you?" he rushed out with his eyes squeezed shut. Slowly, he peeked one open to look at her reaction.
A sheepish smile and a slight blush settled on her face. She let out a relieved sigh and moved some of her hair out of her face.
"Y-you know what? Never mind, it was -" but he was cut off by a warm pressure on his lips.
He smiled, realizing what it was and began to kiss her back. The kiss was short lived, both teens sitting up as they broke apart.
____ smiled shyly and leaned in to give him a hug.
"Shit..." Cameron breathed out, amazed that his first kiss was actually with ____ like he had hoped.
Said girl giggled at what he said, "You have no idea how long I've wanted that," she spoke shyly.
They pulled back and rested their foreheads together, gazing into each other's eyes again.
"I really like you, ____," Cameron finally confessed.
"I really like you too, Cam," ____ smiled.
Cameron smiled back before leaning in for another kiss.
"Would... Would you like to be m-"
"Yes, Cam, I would love too," ____ beamed, cutting him off.
He pulled her into another hug, beaming himself.
"Shit," ____ pulled away from Cameron, wide-eyed.
"What is it?" He asked worried.
"The time. Your dad's gonna be home soon," she informed.
A chuckle escaped his lips before he stood and held out a hand to help her up. Locking fingers, they walked together to the front of the house to grab their shoes.
"Well, I guess I better get you home then," He smiled.
~
"Well, this is it for the day," ____ said turning towards Cameron.
"Yup," He smiled ,giving her hand a tight squeeze.
"See ya, Cameron," She leaned over and placed another kiss on his lips. "And good luck with your dad," She smiled.
"Yeah, thanks. If I survive, I'll give you the update tomorrow," He joked.
____ smiled and pulled him in for their final hug that evening, Cameron giving her a quick peck before she reached over to open her door.
"Night, ____," he smiled as she got out.
"Night, Cam," She replied before closing the car door and running up to her door.
____ gave Cameron a final wave before he pulled away and she headed inside.
The smile stayed on Cameron's face the entire drive back to his house. No one, not even Morris, could ruin his night now.
