Adaro

Mythology: Solomon Islands

Adaro are malevolent merman-like sea spirits. They are found living in the Pacific Ocean. They are very dangerous because they come from the wicked part of a person's spirit. They are described as a man with gills behind the ears, tail fins for feet, a horn like a shark's dorsal fin, and a swordfish or sawfish-like spear growing from its head. Some say they tend to travel in waterspouts and along rainbows.
