The light faded and we were in a office.
I'm pretty sure it was the headmasters office. Considering he was sitting at the desk. Tony didn't tell us because I already knew. Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black, Hogwarts current and least favourite headmaster.
"Ah, Sky and Kaitlyn I do believe" Phineas spoke clearly trying to hide disappointment or annoyance.
"Yes, I am Sky Evergreen and this is my friend Kaitlyn Opal" I said gesturing to Kaitlyn and myself.
"I see, well tonight is the welcoming feast for this year so you will be sorted with the first years" Phineas finished waving us out of his office. Kaitlyn and I walked out and just roamed the halls gaining weird glances from the other students. We talked about how rude Phineas was among other things in a secluded section of the library that we found until it was time for the feast.
Time Skip~~~ because why not
We walked in with the other first years, giggling to ourselves over how weird we looked with all the 12 year olds. We knew we where last on the list so we simply stood in silence until our turn.
"Avatle Lucy,......
Five minutes later
"Evergreen Sky," the unnamed professor said. I walked forward and sat down placing the worn sorting hat on my head.

"Ravenclaw!" The hat shouted I jumped up and hurried over to the ravenclaw table smiling at Kaitlyn on my way past. All the Ravenclaws gave me strange looks when I walked past so I ended up sitting on my own at the back of the hall.
"Opal Kaitlyn" the professor said. Kaitlyn took her seat at the stool.
"Hufflepuff!" The hat shouted. Again Kaitlyn was more or less rejected by her house sitting behind me on her table.
After a very boring feast all the students headed to their common rooms and Kaitlyn and I talked to Phineas about me staying in Hufflepuffs dorms instead which he agreed to after I death glared him.
The Hufflepuff common room was a cosy room next to the kitchens. Kaitlyn and I managed to claim the two beds furthest away from the others and settle down.
The Next Day
I seriously felt more at home with the Hufflepuffs then the Ravenclaws while they still outcasted Kaitlyn and I we weren't treated like garbage just politely ignored. Kaitlyn and I had all of our lessons together with Hufflepuff and Monday was probably the most boring day of the week. Have a look at my timetable

Wednesday ~ Double Tranfiguration, Potions, Double Charms, Double Care Of Magical Creatures
Thursday ~ Double Astronomy, Defence against the dark arts (DATDA), Double Divination
Friday ~ Double Care Of Magical Creatures, Divination, Double DATDA
Thank god Friday and Thursday finish early, otherwise I'd have no time to look for suspicious behaviour and I'd be stuck studying I can do that week nights then.
Kaitlyn and I head back down to the common room to chill for awhile before we go to bed. Just as we sit down in a pair of armchairs in a secluded corner there is a loud band from behind us. All noise ceases in the common room and everyone is staring at where the bang came from.
Aria, my blue Phoenix. I rush over to her. "Aria what are you doing down here" I say putting her on my forearm like a falcon. Aria chirps back. "Mum I was bored up there" I sigh and continue up the stairs to my dorm while a young boy with honey hair watches me in amazement.

Sorry if this chapter was boring and all over the place. I didn't want to skip that big time period but only snippets of it were important so again this chapter is more setting up the story. I promise it gets better just bear with me.
