Midorijima, Summer 20xx

         Two children take hands of each other, walk by the beach under the sunset. They walk together and watch the sunset together everyday. Both of them had no parents and lived by the church near the beach with other children. They always sneak out at the evening to see the sunset together.

?? : Did you realize we come out too long? I bet it's almost 2 hours now.

        The two turned their heads over to the sound of the woman. As they started to walked away, a strange man stood right behind them and crouch down.

Man : Oh? Where are your parents?

       One of the kid whisper to the other as they grab them.

?? : Don't you remember? The sister said we shouldn't talk to stranger no matter what!!

? : Mmhmm.......

Man : Sister? But isn't the church in this area was an orphan care?

Woman : Aw...... I feel bad for them.

?? : Let's go

? : Mm

         Another kid nod and they both take hands and quickly ran away back to the church in hurry.

? : Uwaahhhh what a nice dinner we had

Sister : Now put both of your hands together and say....

Everyone : Thanks for the meal

Sister : Alright all of you can go play a bit before you go to bed..... except for two.....

        The sister took the two kids to a living room.

Sister : Stay put while I go get the guest

        As the sister said, she walked away and shut the door of the living room.

        The sister entered the room with two people, and they shook the two kids.

Woman : Hello~ We're here to pick you up!

Man : Does your mom allowed? Maybe one should be enough?

Woman : Oh.... I forgot to ask her.

Sister : Uh.... ma'am? If you don't mind, can you take both of them? They really can't separate from each other.

          The two kids nod and get on a car with their new parents.

          Sometimes later, they all arrive at the place the couple called "house". It's not a really big house but it seems comfortable. As they walked in, the scream as loud as the thunder shouted at them with a voice of old woman.

Old woman : IF BOTH OF YOU GOING TO COME HOME THIS LATE THEN DON'T COME BACK!! ASKING ME TO WAIT AND PROMISE TO EAT DINNER AS FAMILY BUT GET BACK HOME AT 9??!!!

Woman : Mooooom I'm sorryyyyy. Please don't shout like that, it's not good for you.

Man : Tae san. Please don't blame her. I was the one drive so it was my- OW!!

        Old woman named Tae slap the shoulder of a man and looked around them.

Tae : Now.... when did you guys have kids? And two kids......

Woman : Oh.... we wanted to adopt them so we brought them here to ask you if you're okay with this

Tae : Hmmm...... are you sure about this?

Woman : Mom! You know how much I want to have kids, and so are you!

        As the two adults are on the phone, Tae take the two kids to the living room.

Tae : I am Tae Seragaki, but from now on you can call me granny.

Tae : Your mother's name is Haruka and your father's name is Nine. Just introducing you to your new family.

          The other child think all over again and again. After a few second, he slightly nod his head.

Ren : I like my name..... Thank you

Tae : I'm glad you like it. Now, I'll go reheat the meal. How about we all go eat together?

Aoba : Sister already made us dinner

Ren : Yes.... we're sorry

Tae : Did you take a shower

Ren : Not.... yet

Tae : Nine, prepare some clothes for your sons and take them to bath. Haruka and I will prepare food for us.

Nine : Okay Tae san

          After sometime, Nine, Haruka and Tae finished their dinner and separate to their sleep. Haruka and Tae sleep together, so Nine have to sleep with his sons.

Nine : I'm back boys, how are you two doing?

Aoba : We're looking at some photos of doggy

Nine : Oh? Did you like them?

Aoba : Yes!

Ren : Very much

Nine : Huh? I also wanted to get one. But I think only us is a bit tough to live tho.

Ren : Why?

Nine : Mostly about jobs, and it's not like I'm jobless. It just that we don't have enough to take care of pets.

Aoba : Is it different between raise a pet and adopt a child.

Ren : I heard that it's nearly the same. But we pretty grown up, so it's easier to take care compare to the younger one.

Aoba : So that's it

Nine : You are a pretty smart kid, Ren. Now how about we have some bedtime story and have a gooooood o'l sleep?

Ren : I want to

Aoba : Bedtime story!!!!!

After 5 years
          Nine and Haruka got a new job, but they have to go over sea to work. So they have to separate from their family.

Nine : I'm really sorry that we have to separate from you. We both still love you guys.

Haruka : If we have time, we promise we will come back. Can we do the pinkie promise?

Aoba : I believe in you mommy!

Ren : Please be safe mom, dad

Nine : I am fully apologize Tae san

Tae : I understand you did this for all of us. Don't work too much and hopefully someday we'll all stay together.

Haruka : Mamaaaaaaa......

          The both of them left the island. In the first two years, they have time to visit their family. But later than that, they never showed up. The only thing that proofing that they're still alive is they sending back home money every month.
          Aoba and Ren try to play with each other like how they used to when they live in the church. But this time it's different..... because they have actual family now, but non of them can play with the young one. Even Tae that still home taking care of them, she is too busy to play with them.
          How did it end up like this?
