"Damn it, this is just crazy!" Mizuki exclaimed, pulling on her high school uniform.

There was a knock at the door. "Mizuki, are you almost ready?" Ikkaku asked from the other side.

"I'm coming! Don't get your panties in a twist!" she shot back, adding a grumble in annoyance. "I can't believe we actually have to wear this!"

Ikkaku chuckled from his side of the door. "Aw, come on, it can't be that bad."

The door to the room was thrown open, revealing a very angry Mizuki. "I'm wearing a freakin' skirt!" she exclaimed, pointing to the article of clothing.

Ikkaku's eyes widened at the sight, the air going silent. The man then broke out in uncontrollable laughter. "I-I-I n-never t-t-thought I'd s-s-s-see the d-day y-y-you wou-ld w-wear a s-skirt!" he managed out, rolling on the ground.

Mizuki raised her hand, slamming down the book in it on top of his head. "Shut up!" she yelled back, a blush on her face.

"What's going on in here?" Yumichika's voice came from down the hall. "Yelling this early in the morning is very unbeautiful." The Fifth Seat stopped at the sight of Mizuki in a skirt, shock clear on his face.

"Don't make me hit you too!" Mizuki threatened, shaking her book in his direction. "I swear! One word of this to the Squad or the Captain and I'll skin you both alive!"

Yumichika chuckled. "Don't worry, Mizuki, we won't tell a soul. Though, Rangiku or Renji might."

"I swear to God I will kill them," she grumbled, walking towards the kitchen.

"Mizuki! My love, you're looking beautiful this morning!" Keigo exclaimed as she came through the doorway.

She moved to the side, avoiding the teen's lunging hug. "Good morning, Keigo, Mizuho," Mizuki greeted casually.

"Good morning, Mizuki," Mizuho answered with a smile.

When the three first came to the World of the Living they looked up Keigo for a place to stay. Mizuho wasn't the nicest to Mizuki when she first came, thinking she was with Ikkaku. The three laughed wildly at the thought, reassuring Keigo's sister that it was not true. Now Ikkaku was regretting every saying so, since the human was persistent, now more than ever.

"Mizuki!" Rangiku called, waving at her as the group approached the gates.

"Morning, Rangiku," she greeted.

"Aw, Mizuki, you look so cute in that skirt!"

The young woman blushed. "Rangiku, one word about this to anyone in the Soul Society and you're dead."

"Well look-y here. Never thought I'd see Mizuki in a skirt," a voice said from behind. Her hand clenched into a fist, a vein pulsing on her forehead.

"Renji," she growled. "One word about this to anyone and you too are dead."

He laughed, ruffling Mizuki's hair. "Just kidding around with you, Zuki. Looks nice. You should wear them more often."

"So those Squad Eleven perverts can look up my skirt? Hell to the no." His booming laugh was his response.

As they made their way to the classroom to be introduced as new students, Mizuki looked around at the new environment. "Jeez, when we graduated the Academy I never though we'd end up back in school."

Yumichika chuckled. "Only thing different is that you're wearing a different uniform," he responded.

"Don't remind me," she growled.

Yumichika leaned over so only Mizuki heard, whispering in her ear, "You look beautiful, Mizuki. Don't worry."

"H-Huh?" she exclaimed, whirling around to look at Yumichika, who had pulled back.

He didn't answer, looking further down the hall as if he didn't hear her. Mizuki looked forward again, trying to hide her blush.

Once introductions were done and the Soul Reapers were all sitting down, Mizuki started fidgeting with her skirt, trying to hide her legs as much as possible. The eraser stub of a pencil poked Mizuki's tailbone lightly, making her jump. She didn't dare look over a shoulder and be caught by the teacher; however, she stopped fidgeting. Yumichika continued to play with his pencil under his desk, pretending that he was paying attention. He knew Mizuki better. If she was kept distracted then she wouldn't worry about the skirt issue. So he continued to touch her back with his pencil from time to time.

"Wasn't that an interesting lesson?" Mizuiro asked at lunchtime.

"No," Mizuki answered back, standing. "It was very boring and I learned nothing from it."

Ichigo, Rukia, Orihime, Chad, and Uryuu all sweat dropped in response. Ikkaku chuckled, patting Mizuki's head. "It's okay, Mizuki," he said. "We're not going to be here for long either."

"I just hope a damn Arrancar shows up so I can get some action," Mizuki answered. "I want to beat his or her ass into the ground."

"Cool it, Mizuki, you'll get your chance." She huffed in response.

"Mizuki!" Keigo whined, coming up to her.

"What is it, Keigo? And no, you can't date me."

Keigo fell over at her remark. "That's not it. Mizuho asked me to do some shopping after school. But I really don't want to. Can you please do it for me?" Tears were coming out of his eyes.

Mizuki sighed, taking the list in hand. "Very well, Keigo."

"Thank you!" he exclaimed, trying to tackle her in a hug, however, Yumichika's hand shot forward, throwing him backwards.

"Jumping on a lady is very unbeautiful," he answered.

Mizuki looked over at the side of Yumichika's face, shaking it off.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was getting dark out when Mizuki was walking home from the grocery store, bags in hand. "Okay, I know Keigo said I had to do some shopping, but this is ridiculous!" she exclaimed, lugging the heavy bags home.

Her pager then went off, and she shifted around before finally taking out the phone. "About damn time!" she exclaimed. Popping in a pill her soul shot out of the gigai. "Take these bags home and stay there till I get back."

"Right!" the body answered, taking off.

Mizuki flash stepped towards the area her pager had pinpointed. Just as she arrived a garganta opened up, an Arrancar coming into view. She didn't waste anytime, rushing forward and locking blades with the man. "Ha! Well aren't you a lively one!" he exclaimed.

"And you're damn ugly!" she shot back with a big grin on her face.

The man glared, throwing her backwards through the air. "My name is Nnoitra Gilga, the Fifth Espada!"

"I'm Mizuki Hiryu, Fourth Seat of Eleventh Squad."

Nnoitra cocked an eyebrow in interest. "An Eleventh Division member, huh? Lord Aizen has told me about you brutes. Never thought a woman who be among them."

A vein pulsed on her forehead. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" she yelled, shaking a fist in his direction.

His crescent shaped blade came at her head on, Mizuki holding up her blade. Her feet were firmly planted in the ground. When Nnoitra's zanpakuto crashed into Mizuki's, she did not move from her place. The Espada's eyes widened with interest. "So... you're stronger than you look."

"Of course," she grinned sadistically. "I'm a Fourth Seat after all."

"Well then..." His zanpakuto retracted. "Let's take this up a notch!" he yelled, eyes murderous.

"Rip off their heads! Widower!" Mizuki yelled, seeing the Espada's spiritual pressure rising.

Ikkaku and Yumichika rushed from Keigo's house once their pagers went off, the battle happening on the west end of the town. "Hey! Mizuki!" Ikkaku called, seeing the gigai running towards them.

"Hey guys!" she greeted excitedly.

"I knew I sensed Mizuki's spiritual pressure," Yumichika said, realizing it was not really her.

"How long ago?" Ikkaku asked.

"Um... about ten minutes," she said in thought.

Spiritual pressure spiked in the air. "It's an Arrancar," Yumichika stated, rushing off.

Mizuki's back slammed up against a wall, it crumbling behind her. Blood flew from her mouth, the air in her lungs being forced from it. Nnoitra's laugh rang in the air. "Damn you," she growled, spiting the blood out of her mouth.

"I knew it! You're all talk and no action!" Nnoitra yelled at her. "You're nothing more than a pathetic woman!"

"Augh!" she yelled, lunging forward, zanpakuto in hand. Her bloody hands gripped the hilt of her sword, nails digging into her flesh. Mizuki whipped around the blade, iron spider webs coming out of it in the arching motion. Nnoitra dodged the lined, razor sharp, wires, throwing his zanpakuto forward.

She flipped over the blade, flying over Nnoitra's head. "Damn it, get down here, woman!" he yelled. The Espada vanished, appearing above Mizuki, her eyes widening. Nnoitra's hand grabbed a hold of the back of Mizuki's neck, slamming her into the ground face first.

"Ack!" she exclaimed, dirt filling her mouth.

"Beg for mercy!" he ordered, laughing crazily. He picked up Mizuki once more, slamming her chest first into a tree. The bark cut into her skin, ripping up her flesh. The young woman clenched her teeth in pain and anger. "Do it, woman!"

"I'll die before that happens!" she yelled back, rage twisting in her eyes.

"Your wish is my command!" he yelled throwing her up into the air. Mizuki growled, trying to regain her control. A shadow cast over her body and she looked up to find Nnoitra over her once again. "Say hello to hell for me!"

A cero fired off from his tongue, smashing Mizuki into the ground. Her scream pierced the night, making Ikkaku and Yumichika miss a step in their run. "Mizuki!" they cried out, running faster.

Nnoitra laughed, clouds of smoke and dirt coming up from the crater. "How pathetic! I was looking for more of a challenge!"

"Eat your enemies, Spider Canon!" Mizuki's raspy voice came from the cloud.

"Huh?"

A white light cut through the coverage, engulfing the Espada. It threw him backwards, screaming. The attack was literally eating at his flesh. "Shit..." Mizuki barely managed to breath out. Her whole ribcage felt like it was crushed, constricting the flow of oxygen.

"Mizuki!" Yumichika exclaimed, running to her side. Ikkaku looked down into the crater, eyes wide.

"Yumi..." she gasped. "Can't... breathe...!"

"Damn it!" Ikkaku yelled, turning on the screaming Espada. "I'll take care of him!"

"Hold on, Mizuki," Yumichika ordered, ripping open her top to see the damage. Her bra-covered breasts was covered in black and blue bruises, blood dripping down the stomach from where her ribs punctured the skin. "I'm going to take you to Orihime. Just hold on!"

The man quickly scooped her up, flash stepping off towards the desired apartment. Mizuki's gurgles filled Yumichika's ears, making him run faster. His legs were burning, feeling like they were going to explode. The teen's place was in sight. The Soul Reaper glanced down to see Mizuki's eyes closing.

"Hold on, Mizuki. Hold on!" he yelled just as she passed out.

Orihime screamed, startled when Yumichika barged into her home. Rangiku and Toshiro ran quickly to the door, seeing the sight. "Help her!" Yumichika yelled with worry.

"Lay her down here," Orihime directed quickly as the Fifth Seat walked into the room. She quickly put up a shield, starting the healing process. "You got here just in time. Any longer and she might have not made it."

Yumichika breathed a sigh of relief, sitting down. "We were too slow..." he mumbled. "We didn't get there in time..."

Rangiku put a hand on the man's shoulder. "This wasn't your fault, Yumichika," she reassured.

Ikkaku then walked in the door. "Well?" Toshiro asked.

"The damn coward got away, but not without getting his body almost chewed to pieces by Mizuki's attack," Ikkaku answered. He grinned crookedly over at her healing body. "That a girl..."

"What was it?"

"An Arrancar. He said he was the Fifth Espada before leaving, vowing to kill Mizuki and anyone who gets in his way doing so."

Yumichika gripped his zanpakuto tightly. "Let him come," he said in a dangerous voice. "I want to personally cut his head clean off."

Ikkaku sighed, scratching the back of his head. "Well the Captain isn't going to be too happy about this, seeing as that she's like a second daughter to him." He left to relay the news to the Soul Society.

"We'll patrol the area," Toshiro said as Rangiku and him split from their gigais.

It was silent in the room as Yumichika leaned against a wall, watching Mizuki through the barrier. "She's going to be alright, Yumichika," Orihime relayed. "You can breathe easy. She'll be out for a while, but will be good as new when she wakes up."

Yumichika sighed. "Thanks, Orihime," he answered.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mizuki yawned as she sat up, looking around Orihime's apartment. "Damn it!" she exclaimed, gripping her hair in annoyance. "I let him go!"

"Not without causing serious damage," Yumichika reassured, walking in from the kitchen. He was in his gigai again.

"Yumichika! What happened?"

"Ikkaku said the Espada got away, but he was a little eaten up when he left."

"Wicked," she said with a sadistic grin.

Yumichika sighed, sitting down beside the roll out bed. "Yes, you did an exceptional job, but nearly got yourself killed."

"Yeah, I wasn't counting on that cero, that's for sure," Mizuki grumbled, scratching the back of her head absent-mindedly.

Yumichika reached out, his hand resting on the side of Mizuki's neck, thumb caressing her cheek. "Don't you dare scare us, or me for that matter, again. The Captain nearly had Ikkaku's head when he relayed the information. Then I nearly had a heart attack when I saw how unbeautiful you were."

Mizuki grinned sheepishly. "Sorry about that."

He leaned forward, his lips lightly landing on Mizuki's, startling her. "You're not immortal, Mizuki," Yumichika whispered against her lips. He looked her in the eyes. "So don't try to be."

The Soul Reaper sighed, bowing her head. "Fine... but you can't blame me. Our Captain is crazy so it's bound to wear off on us at some point."

Yumichika chuckled, kissing her forehead. "That's all I ask of you; to be more careful. Otherwise I'll get grey hairs from worry and that would be very unbeautiful."

Mizuki laughed, wrapping her arms around Yumichika's chest in a hug, face nuzzling into his neck. "Very well, Yumichika. Whatever you say."
