"You sure you got this?" Shuuhei asked his Third Seat, Falcon Fiji.

"I'm sure, Captain," the woman said. "This isn't my first mission after all. I am older than you, yah know."

"You still act like a child at times."

Falcon rolled her eyes, pulling her curly, dark orange hair into a ponytail. Adjusting the zanpakuto at her side she turned to her Captain once more. "I'll see you later!" She then ran into the portal and crossed over.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hands clasped behind her head as she walked down the street, Falcon stared up at the sky. Her mission was taking longer than expected. The Hollow she was supposed to kill suddenly disappeared, but she was ordered to stay put. Not that Falcon minded. She enjoyed the World of the Living. Their clothing and lifestyle were interesting to her. She had acquired her gigai thanks to Urahara.

In fact, she was walking to his house right now to drop it off before she went on patrol. "Urahara!" the woman called out. The shopkeeper looked up from where he sat.

"Oh, good afternoon, Falcon," he greeted with a smile.

The two Shinigami's knew each other before the problem involving the Vizards occurred. In fact, Falcon had known everyone who had been turned during the incident. "I'll be back later, can you watch over it again?" she asked, stepping out of her body.

"Yeah, I can do that. Besides, your gigai needs a tune up."

"Thanks!"

Falcon rushed outside and off into the town.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The sun had set by now, the streetlights shining brightly below. Falcon sighed, arms crossing. "Looks like it's going to be yet another boring night-"

A Hollow's scream filled the air and Falcon whipped her head around. It was the one she was after. "About time!" She rushed off towards a large playground, landing on a money bar set. The Hollow loomed overhead as Falcon took out her zanpakuto, slicing off his hand. The creature roared and attacked. The woman easily flipped backwards through the air, dodging the Hollow, while twirling around and slicing its chest.

This is too easy, Falcon thought to herself as she watched the Hollow fall.

The Soul Reaper landed on the top of the jungle gym, waiting for any signs of movement from the enemy. It didn't move. She sighed annoyed that the Hollow had been weak. Then another roar ripped through the air, startling her. She whirled around right as a hand smacked into her stomach and threw her through the air. The woman's body slammed into the ground, hard, bouncing and rolling to a stop.

Damn! That thing was a decoy!

Falcon coughed, pushing herself to her hands and knees. The Hollow's foot came down on the Soul Reaper's back, pushing her into the ground. She gasped for air as it moved away only to be replaced with its large hand. Spit flew from her mouth as the Hollow dragged the woman closer.

"You look tasty," the Hollow growled hungrily, licking his lips. He brought his hand away for a second and Falcon quickly turned her body around, her blade cutting into the palm. The Hollow roared back in anger reaching for his prey. She rolled backwards but its claw caught the leg of her kimono pants. The Hollow's claws dug into her skin, ripping open the flesh. This caused the pant leg to rip at the waistband, shredding at a downward angle towards her inner thigh.

The Hollow's head came down, mouth open to devour the Soul Reaper. Falcon threw up both legs, one foot each on his upper and lower teeth, holding the beast back. She sliced at the Hollow's face but he threw it to the side, taking Falcon with it. She rolled across the ground to a halt, the zanpakuto flying from her grasp.

"You're mine!" it roared, lunging forward.

"Hadou Number 4: Byakurai!" Falcon yelled, pointing her finger at the Hollow. The lightning flew from the digit, killing the Hollow instantly. Its screams echoed in the air and then died out.

Falcon breathed heavily, pushing the messy, out of placed hair from her face. She glanced around, finding herself alone. Collapsing, when Falcon's side hit the ground someone's feet appeared in front of her face, but she passed out before the stranger turned her over.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Falcon groaned as she opened her eyes. Her head was aching. "Oh, your finally up," a voice said. Falcon head turned and her eyes went wide. "Now there's a face I haven't seen in ages." It was Shinji. "You've certainly grown into a fine woman."

"Shinji?" Falcon asked, sitting up. "What...?" She glanced down as the sheet fell from her body. Her clothing was changed now wearing a plain T-shirt that was too big for her and loose sweats. Also, Falcon realized her wounds were bandaged. Falcon fixed her bright blue eyes at Shinji with a glare. "You pervert!" she yelled, throwing the pillow at him. The man ducked. "You disgusting pervert! How dare you undress me in my sleep!"

"Falcon, wait!" Shinji protested as the Soul Reaper continued to throw nearby items at him. "I didn't do it!"

"Looks like she's up," a voice said from the door. Falcon stopped throwing and glanced over to see Rose and Love standing in the doorway.

"You're here too?" she asked.

"Including everyone else who was banished," Hyori stated, coming into view. "After all these years you're still weak."

A vein pulsed on Falcon's head. "Shut up! I killed it, didn't I?"

"It was careless," Lisa said.

"I know," Falcon grumbled, looking away.

"You're lucky Kensei found you before another Hollow did."

Falcon froze when she heard that name. "Everyone, let Falcon rest and then we can talk," Hachi said, ushering everyone from the room. He turned to Falcon before leaving. "Shinji did not bandage your wounds. Kensei did."

A dark red blush came to her face as she buried her head in the remaining pillow. Falcon then drifted off to sleep.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next time Falcon woke the bed shifted. It was dark so she couldn't see who it was and shot up in bed, startled. Her forehead made contact with someone's face. "Ow!" the person yelled, falling onto the floor. "Son of a-!"

"Ow..." Falcon moaned, flopping back while rubbing her forehead. "That hurt."

"You're still an idiot," the voice grumbled.

"It's your own fault for waking me like that, Kensei."

The man sighed, sitting back up on the side of the bed. "How are you feeling?"

"Like I hit a brick wall." He grunted. "Thank you... for helping me."

"Whatever," he grumbled. It was silent between the two for a while before Kensei's hand reached over Falcon's body and touched the leg that had been exposed mid-fight. Falcon squeaked from the contact and heard Kensei chuckled. "I'm curious of your choice of tattoo."

In clear black ink the design could only be visible if in underwear or a bathing suit. "T-t-that's none of your business!" Falcon stammered, rolling onto her side to hide it. It was a secret. After the Vizard incident, Falcon had the number '69' tattooed to her leg in memory of Kensei because they had been so close years ago. She never showed it to anyone, hence the reason it was so well hidden, until now.

Kensei chuckled again leaning over Falcon's body. He got really close to her ear, saying, "I am your former Captain and I order you to tell me."

Her cheeks turned bright red in the dark. "N-no! Shuuhei is my Captain now."

"Shuuhei, huh? Have you shown him your tattoo?"

"No!" Falcon exclaimed, whirling around on the bed to face Kensei. Their faces were so close that the woman's heart skipped a beat.

"You haven't changed," the ex-Captain whispered, leaning in closer. "It's so easy to tease you." Their lips lightly touched.

Her eyes continued to stare in wonder as Kensei went back in and kissed her fully on the lips. Soon Falcon kissed back, gripping at the front of his shirt. One of Kensei's hands ran up the bandaged leg, tracing the spot where the tattoo sat. Falcon shivered under his touch as her hands ran up his shirt, feeling the hidden abs. Her fingers then began to lightly trace his tattoo. Kensei sighed heavily before moving his lips to kiss Falcon's neck hungrily.

The Soul Reaper gasped for air as the man's lips traveled down to the collarbone, outlining it with his tongue. Falcon shivered and Kensei pressed his forehead against hers. Both of his hands came up and cupped Falcon's face and he kissed her nose and then the lips again.

"I've been wanting to do that for years," he whispered.

"What took you so long before?" Falcon whispered back, looking him in the eyes.

"One, you were much younger. Two, it would have been weird at the time with our ranking status. Three, it was too dangerous to get you involved. I didn't want you hurt."

"You turned into a Vizard and were forced to leave with the others. That hurt more."

"Well, I believe you have a choice now: return to the Soul Society or stay here." Falcon smiled and kissed Kensei. "Good answer," he growled seductively before crashing his lips on hers.
