"Good morning, Ichigo!"
The orange-haired boy turned around and watched as the short brunette ran up to him. "Oh, good morning, Heihachi," Ichigo greeted.
"Where's Rukia this morning?"
"She's talking with Urahara. Something about getting you some soul candy."
"Oh goodie, she remembered!" Heihachi hands clapped together and laughed.
Heihachi and Ichigo, both in the same class and substitute Soul Reapers. Heihachi was there when Aizen betrayed the Soul Society, and when the Bouts invaded the World of the Living and the Soul Society. Since then, the teenagers continued to kill Hollows in the area to protect the defenseless souls.
"So, what's-"
Ichigo stopped talking when a loud cry rang through the air. "Time to go!" Heihachi exclaimed, taking out a badge. They dumped their bodies in a very over grown bush and rushed off.
The Hollow came into view and Heihachi pulled out her zanpakuto. "Maul them to death, Surma!" The sword extended as the blade was consumed in fire. It lashed out, striking the monster's back. "Ichigo!"
"I'm on it!" he exclaimed, pulling out his own zanpakuto. It wasn't long until he delivered the final blow and the creature disappeared.
"Nice job," Heihachi said with a smile as the two slapped hands. "What time is it?"
Ichigo looked down at his wristwatch as they climbed back into their bodies. His eyes grew wide. "We have one minute!"
"Race yah!"
They both took off.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Jeez, what happened to you?" Heihachi asked. The fight against two Arrancars had left the teen bruised and beaten. Heihachi had been with Urahara when it happened, and he had asked her to stay behind, much to her dislike.
"Shut up," Ichigo growled.
"Hey, you win some, you lose some. You'll kick their butts next time around." Ichigo didn't answer. Heihachi rolled her eyes, and stepped on his chest. "Idiot! Stop blaming yourself!"
"Ow! Hey, watch it!"
Tessai threw open the door. "Boss! They're at it again!" He ran in and picked up Heihachi's small frame.
"Hey! Not fair!" The man carried her to the front door.
"Go home, Heihachi," Urahara said. "You've helped enough with things around here."
"Fine... my parents want me home anyway. See yah."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So, these things are called Arrancars?" Heihachi asked.
"And they are very dangerous," Urahara said. "Not to be messed with."
"Good to know."
"Heihachi, I need you to run an errand," Tessai said.
"Alright, I'll be back," she said, taking a note from the man and headed out.
The sun had set as the teen walked through the calm streets humming to herself. That was until Heihachi felt a large amount of spiritual pressure release. "That's Ichigo," she said aloud. The girl rushed towards her best friend and found him fighting a blue haired Arrancar. "Ichigo!"
Both men turned to look at Heihachi. "Heihachi!" Ichigo yelled. "Get out of here!"
"No way! This is an Arrancar! But... he looks weak!"
"What did you say!" the Arrancar yelled.
"Heihachi, get out of here!" Ichigo ordered and flash stepped away.
"Hey!" the Arrancar yelled, chasing after him.
Heihachi grumbled running after her idiot best friend and the hotheaded Arrancar. This wasn't the first time Ichigo wouldn't allow her to get involved. But she wasn't weak, and didn't understand why they thought so. The student could handle her own when the time called for it.
They were making quite a racket and it wasn't hard to follow the destruction they created in their path. Finally, Heihachi caught up to them and watched the Arrancar beat the snot out of Ichigo. The girl rushed forward. The Arrancar punched Ichigo clear into the air and Heihachi lunged towards the enemy, feet first. They made contact with his back, sending him into the side of a building. Heihachi landed where the man had been standing.
"Hey, Ichigo!" she yelled up. The teen had caught himself on the side of a building. "You okay up there?"
"Watch out!" Ichigo yelled.
Heihachi whirled around as the Arrancar came flying out of the rubble. She lunged out of the way. When Heihachi turned around the opponent was coming back, and she managed to roll out of the way. Heihachi took out her badge, but just as she was about to use it the item was knocked from her grasp. Then a hand closed over the back of her shirt, pulling the Soul Reaper through the air. When the world finally stopped spinning Heihachi found she was looking down at the ground, high up in the air, and her body slung over something. Heihachi pushed her body up and looked over a shoulder to see that she was being held over the Arrancar's shoulder.
"Put me down!" she yelled, slamming her fists against his back.
"Not a chance," he answered looking over with a sadistic smile.
"Let her go!" Ichigo roared, standing in front of the Arrancar.
The man turned his attention to the Soul Reaper in front of him. "Her little ass is mine, Soul Reaper. You want her back?" A garganta opened up behind them. "Come and get her."
"Let me go!" Heihachi yelled, kicking and wiggling to try and get out of his grasp.
They both disappeared in the black hole.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I said eat."
"No way in hell will I eat that," Heihachi said, her back to the Sixth Espada. Two weeks had passed since her capture and she had learned that her captor's name was Grimmjow Jaegerjaques. What annoyed her most was his sarcastic, arrogant behavior and that she was under his care.
Why couldn't it have been Ulquiorra? At least he is quiet.
"I said eat."
"No."
Grimmjow's hand came down on top of Heihachi's head and forced her to face him. A sadistic smile crossed his face. "I will force this food down your throat if you don't eat this. We have to keep you alive until Aizen decides other wise."
"I don't care, I'm not eating it."
"Suit yourself."
Suddenly Heihachi found herself pinned to the bed, arms above her head. In Grimmjow's other hand was a handful of the meal he had brought the girl. "Get off of me!"
She turned her head away from the food that was shoved in her face. Instead the food smeared all over the right cheek. Heihachi glared up at Grimmjow from the corner of her eyes. The Arrancar growled, turning away to grab more food. Heihachi maneuvered her feet from under Grimmjow's body so they were pressing against his chest. But Grimmjow came back with another handful of food. Heihachi pushed against his chest harder, but that only caused them both to roll off the bed and on to the floor. Grimmjow's hand full of food shot out towards Heihachi's mouth once again, but he only ended up smashing the food under her jaw when she jerked away from it.
Finally, Heihachi freed one hand and reached out for a plate of food, grabbing the watery apple pie and slammed it into the side of Grimmjow's face. That caught him off guard and the man sat backwards, releasing Heihachi. He blinked a few times, as the teen sat up and grabbed the remains of the pie in her hand.
"You are dead!" she yelled, throwing the food at him.
An all-out food fight erupted in the room. When they ran out of the food on the plate Heihachi and Grimmjow grabbed the remains that were splattered all over the walls and floor, and when that ran out Heihachi grabbed her pillow to ward off the Espada.
"Come here," Grimmjow growled, reaching for Heihachi.
"No!" she protested, smothering the pillow into his food-stained face.
"For a human you're a handful."
"I'm not eating and that is final!"
"Quit being difficult!"
Suddenly, Grimmjow slipped on some food that was smeared on the floor. Both of them fell to the ground, the Arrancar on top of Heihachi. He then shoved something into her mouth. It was a strawberry. She gulped it down, having no other choice. "Get off of me!" she exclaimed, pushing him off and sitting up straight. But Grimmjow forced another one into her mouth and she began to nibble on it as they sat in silence.
As Heihachi finished a strawberry, Grimmjow would force in another one. Finally, he pulled out a whole bag of them. "So why won't you eat willingly?"
"It's not that I don't want to," Heihachi answered while still munching on the fruit in her mouth. "It's just that I don't trust you guys. Who knows if someone put something in it?"
Grimmjow pushed another strawberry into her mouth before he took one of his fingers and dragged it across the sticky apple pie smudges. He licked his finger, tasting it. "I don't know this isn't half bad."
"Whatever," Heihachi grumbled, not looking at the Espada, so she didn't realize he had crawled closer.
The man then bent down close to her face. "I bet you taste better," he spoke in an alluring tone and licked a piece of mashed potato off of Heihachi's cheek, near the corner of her lips. Heihachi's cheeks flushed pink and she whipped her head around to look at Grimmjow, wide-eyed. "Hmm... not bad. But I wonder... what do your lips taste like after eating that food?" A devilish smile broke out across his face.
"Shut up," she grumbled, looking away to try and hide the increasing blush.
"What's the matter?" Grimmjow asked in a mocking tone. "Did you like it?"
"No," she grumbled unconvincingly.
Grimmjow drew closer to her face. "You know you liked it." The space between them was closing even more and just as Heihachi was turning around to protest their lips touched.
Heihachi and Grimmjow stared at each other, wondering if one or the other were going to react. The Arrancar was the first, closing his eyes and pulling Heihachi forward to his body. She then closed her eyes, tangling both hands in his messy hair. She tasted the apple pie on his lips, loving the taste.
A knock came from the door. "What?" Grimmjow growled as he moved to kiss Heihachi's neck.
"Lord Aizen has called a meeting," Ulquiorra spoke from the other side of the door. Grimmjow growled against the skin, making her shiver before he pushed himself up and headed for the door. Once there, Ulquiorra just stared at the mess Grimmjow was in from the food fight. "I'm not even going to ask."
"Shut up," Grimmjow snapped. "I'm going to get changed and I'll be right back."
The door closed, leaving Heihachi on the floor. Finally, she sat up and decided to wash the food from her body with a hot shower. When she came out the room was all cleaned up. Guess Grimmjow sent someone to clean.
Heihachi then flopped down on her bed curling up on her side and started to drift off. But then the door opened quietly and Grimmjow sat on the edge of the mattress. "Hey," she murmured.
"Hey," he answered. Grimmjow bent down and kissed her forehead. Heihachi responded by taking one of his hands in hers and pulling it close to her lips. "You know if your friends decide to come and save you, you must know I do not intend to let you go."
Heihachi smiled, pulling his hand closer. "I wouldn't want it any other way," she whispered.
Grimmjow smirked, stroking the teen's head before lying down next to Heihachi.
