Name: Ayame Yuki
Looks: Long blue hair that's always seen in a ponytail, pale cream-colored skin, which compliments her dark yellow eyes
Personality: Has a spitfire personality, but is mainly quite unless you make here mad then you can run like hell [as if that'll do any good]. She's mainly seen talking or training with her zanpakuto, and likes to train in the rain when she really needs to get stronger
Zanpakuto: Howl Ame-Urufu (rain wolf)

"Hey, Baldy!" Yachiru sang as she jumped onto the Third Seat's shoulder.
"What?" the man grumbled, annoyed with his nickname.
"Have you seen Wolf?"
"Last time I checked she was training. You should know that, Lieutenant."
The young girl pouted. "I can't find Kenny or her anywhere."
Ikkaku froze on the spot, looking over at Yachiru on his shoulder. "Shit-" he muttered before hearing,
"KENPACHI ZARAKI!" the whole Division shaking from the force of the yell.
"Man, it's too early for this," Ikkaku grumbled, going to seek shelter.
Kenpachi flash stepped through the Division, an angry subordinate following behind him. "Why the hell do I have to go?" she continued to yell, clutching a piece of paper in hand.
"It's an order from the Head Captain, and quit your complaining and leave me alone," Kenpachi retorted.
"Hell no!" She slammed into the Captain's back, causing them to fall from the path and tumble to the ground. "Why the hell do I have to go to the World of the Living?" she continued to yell down at her Captain, her on top.
"I thought you'd be happy to be killing some Hollows, or have you grown bored of them?"
"I didn't sign up to babysit a Fourth Division member!" she pointed out, dark yellow eyes flaring.
"Well tough, because it's a direct order from the Head Captain. With the war going on you're our strongest guard we can afford to send out at the moment. And that's final, Yuki," he added, seeing her about to snap back.
Ayame shut her mouth, arms crossed over her chest as she muttered some colorful words under her breath. Her eyes glared at nothing in particular, a smirk coming to Kenpachi's features. "How long are you going to sit on me?"
The Fourth Seat snapped from her mumbling, looking down at the compromising position they were in. She rolled her eyes, pushing off and getting to her feet. "When do I leave?" she grumbled as the Captain stood.
"In the morning." Ayame tightened her ponytail more in frustration, walking off. "Where are you going, Yuki?"
"To train, what else!" she yelled back. "I'm going to find Ikkaku!"
Kenpachi grinned before going back to his office.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Good morning! My name is Hanataro Yamada!"
A vein pulsed on Ayame's forehead as a crooked, forced smile played on her lips. "Ayame Yuki," she muttered out. The young woman glared over at her Captain before looking back over at the Fourth Squad member. "Let's get this over with," she sighed in aggravation. "We're going to observe wounds of the Ryoka and learn healing methods from Orihime Inoue. That's it. Once we're done, we're coming back."
"Yes, ma'am!"
Ayame sighed as the gate opened. "Don't call me 'ma'am'... it makes me feel old. Ayame is fine."
"Yes, ma- Ayame."
"Good, let's go."
The two walked through the streets of Karakura Town, finding Ichigo Kurosaki's home. "Hanataro? What are you doing here?" Ichigo asked, when he answered the door.
"We're here to observe Orihime's healing abilities," Hanataro relayed. "I'm to make a full and detailed report to Captain Unohana."
Ichigo cocked an eyebrow. "We?" He looked over the boy's shoulder to see Ayame leaning against the gate. "Who's she?"
"Ayame Yuki, Fourth Seat of Eleventh Division."
"Why is she here?"
Ayame growled slightly. "Because I got stuck babysitting," she grumbled, looking away.
"We need gigais," Hanataro cut in. "Where can we find Kisuke Urahara?"
Ichigo sighed, showing them the way. A few hours later they were walking to Orihime's. The teen was happy to sit and talk to Hanataro. Ayame sat on the rooftop, overlooking the city and blocking out their chatter.
It was nighttime when Hanataro popped his head out the window and asked Ayame if she was hungry for dinner. She declined, seeing the storm clouds gathering in the distance. A while later it started to rain. The Fourth Seat dropped her gigai inside the house before climbing back onto the roof and began to train. She closed her eyes as the water soaked into her kimono and hair. It was refreshing.
"Ayame, come inside!" Hanataro called out. She ignored him, swinging around her zanpakuto. "You're going to get sick!" Ayame halted, eyes staying closed as she listened to the rain around her. "Ayame-!"
"Shut up, Hanataro," she snapped, and he fell silent. It was quiet except the sound of rain around her. Droplets dripped from her nose and the ends of her hair. They ran down her face, falling to the rooftop. Her eyes then snapped open, whirling around, "There!"
A blast of green light came shooting towards them. Ayame threw around her zanpakuto, slicing through the cero. "Impressive, for some trash."
"What are you doing here, Arrancar?" Ayame spat, glaring.
"I'm here to collect what Lord Aizen wants."
"You're after the human girl, aren't you?" He didn't answer. "Who are you, Arrancar?"
"Ulquiorra Schiffer, Fourth Espada."
Ayame grinned. "Really now? What a coincidence. My name is Ayame Yuki, and I am the Fourth Seat of Squad Eleven."
"You rank is meaningless."
"Feh." Ayame positioned her zanpakuto in front of her body. "Want to test that theory, Espada?"
"Ayame?" Hantarao asked, scared.
"Hanataro. Protect Orihime at all costs, and get the Soul Society and Ichigo on the line." She grinned sadistically. "They might want to watch this."
The two rushed into battle. "Hanataro, what's going on?" Orihime asked.
"You have to stay inside! Aizen has sent someone to capture you!" They looked out the window and listened as the sound of zanpakuto against zanpakuto clashed against each other.
Ayame pressed against Ulquiorra's blade, grinning. "Is this all you got, Espada?" she mocked. The emotionless man stared at Ayame before removing his other hand from his pocket, aiming a cero at her head. She lunged out of the way, catching her balance on a rooftop.
"Feh," Ayame scoffed. "What a cheap trick."
"Stand aside and you might live," Ulquiorra spoke up. "All I have come for is the girl."
"I've got orders, and besides I hate Aizen's guts. No way in hell am I letting you pass."
Ulquiorra disappeared into the rain, making Ayame's eyes widened. He reappeared behind her, going in for an attack. A loud snarl ripped through the air, making Hanataro and Orihime's skin crawl. Ulquiorra stood at a distance once again, a bite mark in his arm. Ayame looked over her shoulder, smirking. "You didn't really think I'd let my guard down that easily, now did you?" He didn't answer. "Howl, Ame-Urufu!"
The zanpakuto blade turned into liquid, floating in the area the metal had once been. "That's useless," Ulquiorra pointed out.
"Want another bite to match the one on your arm?" Ayame disappeared, only to reappear next to the Espada. "How about on your face?" she yelled, throwing around the blade. The water transformed mid-attack, forming into the head of a wolf, jaw open. Its teeth clamped on Ulquiorra's shoulder, ripping through the man's skin relentlessly. His eyes widened as he was thrown through the air.
"Tear him apart!" Ayame ordered her wolf. It snarled, tearing off Ulquiorra's arm. Blood flew from the wound, staining the white uniform. Ayame pulled back the wolf, rushing forward once again. Ulquiorra dodged, firing a cero with his free hand. It grazed the Fourth Seat's cheek as she flipped out of the way.
The two stood opposite each other, waiting for the other to move. Ayame's wolf snarled and growled in her ear beside her, glaring at the Espada. "So predictable," Ulquiorra spoke up, arm reappearing. "Lord Aizen has already let us know that you Eleventh Squad members are brutes and fight without moral. You'll attack with nothing but force, which makes you predictable."
Ayame scoffed. "I may be from the fighting squad, but that doesn't mean I'm predictable like those below me. We always have..." she grinned sadistically, "tricks up our sleeves."
The rain surrounding Ulquiorra began to shift and change. His eyes flickered around as the water morphed. Seven large wolf jaws appeared; teeth razor sharp. The newly born wolves all clamped down on Ulquiorra's shoulders, arms, legs, and middle section. He was paralyzed in place and Ayame rushed forward, her eighth wolf at her side.
"You're mine, Espada!" the young woman yelled, throwing down her zanpakuto in an arch.
A cero formed in front of Ulquiorra's body, clashing against Ayame's zanpakuto. Sparks flew through the air as the two spiritual pressures pressed against each other. Ayame gritted her teeth as she pressed harder, her wolves chopping into Ulquiorra's flesh even more. The Fourth Seat saw her opportunity upon seeing the Espada's guard was focused on her alone.
"Shred!" Ayame ordered as the wolves pulled away from each other.
They pulled away, making the Espada's eyes widen as he felt his limbs be pulled apart. The cero grew before exploding, and engulfing the two in a bright green light. "What the hell is that?" Ichigo grumbled to himself as he watched from a distance.
A shock wave flew through the area, throwing him backwards through the air. "Miss. Ayame?" Hanataro exclaimed from Orihime's window.
"Ayame!" Orihime yelled.
The smoke and dust cleared, revealing the Espada barely standing on his one remaining leg. Ulquiorra's right arm was completely ripped from his shoulder, half of his stomach missing as well. His breathing was ragged, blood dripping from his wounds. "You proved to be a... formidable foe," Ulquiorra spoke up, a garganta opening behind him. "I will be back for the girl... but with more force."
Something shifted in the rubble of a building before a chunk of concrete was thrown backwards through the air. Ayame's coughing rang through the area, sounding over the deafening rain. "Damn it," her horse voice came lowly. "Damn it, damn it, damn it all to hell!" Ayame screamed into the night sky.
"Ayame!" Hanataro exclaimed, rushing out of the apartment and to the Fourth Seat's side. Orihime quickly followed.
The young woman was half buried in the rubble, legs trapped. The blast from the cero had ripped apart the flesh on the stomach and half of her face. She gritted her teeth from the pain as rain mixed with the wounds. "This is bad," Hanataro spoke in a panic. "This is really bad."
Orihime called forward her healing barrier as Hanataro contacted the Soul Society. "I need immediate transportation to the Soul Society for Ayame Yuki, Hanataro Yamada, Orihime Inoue-"
"Orihime!" Ichigo exclaimed, coming forward.
"And Ichigo Kurosaki."
"Request granted," someone said on the other line. "Anything else?"
"Yes, Fourth Seat of Squad Eleven, Ayame Yuki is gravely injured. Fifty percent of her body has suffered serious burns. We need a medical unit. Orihime Inoue is working on her now, but she needs more treatment."
"Understood. Gate opening in ten seconds..."
"What happened?" Ichigo asked.
"Arrancar attack," Orihime answered. "Ayame was protecting us."
"How is she?" Hanataro asked.
"The wound... it's not healing too well. I've never seen anything like this. Usually, I have no problem healing injuries, but this cero... something about it is not right. It's as if it's rejecting my healing powers."
The gate opened to the Soul Society. "We'll go to the Soul Society," Ichigo relayed. "Put her on my back and let's go."
"Right," they answered.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The condition of Ayame Yuki is severe," Unohana relayed to Kenpachi, Yachiru, Hanataro, Orihime, and Ichigo. "The front of her body as well as the left side of her face received third degree burns, legs nearly crushed. Orihime's powers managed to repair the legs, however, we've observed that this Arrancar's attacks seemed to reject Orihime."
"Why?" Ichigo asked.
"We do not know. Right now, she is stable. You may see her if you wish. Miss. Yuki is awake."
"Wolf!" Yachiru exclaimed, hopping onto Ayame's bed. "How are you doing?"
"Fine, Lieutenant," Ayame grunted, trying to situate herself.
"Feh, I can't believe you got beat by an Arrancar," Kenpachi teased. "Now I'm going to have to babysit you."
Ayame rolled her eyes. "Please, it's not like I let him get away unharmed."
The Captain grinned. "So, what did you do to the bastard?"
Ayame smirked back. "I ripped off his arm and leg, and gutted his stomach."
Kenpachi threw back his head in a laugh. "That's what I like to hear."
"I'm sorry, Miss. Yuki," Hanataro spoke up. "I wasn't of much help. Instead, you nearly got killed."
Ayame reached out, grabbing Hanataro's uniform and pulling him forward, glaring. The young man shivered in fear before Ayame released him, patting his head. Her hard expression was gone, replaced by a light smirk. "How many times do I have to tell you to call me Ayame? You did great kid. You watched over Orihime while I fought, so you followed orders. It'll take a lot more to kill me off."
"Hanataro!" Isane called. "You're needed in room eight!"
"Coming!" The Seventh Seat then left the room.
Orihime and Ichigo left a while later, going to meet with the other Captains' to discuss the attack that had occurred. Ayame fell asleep and Yachiru ran off to find Ikkaku. Kenpachi stayed in his Fourth Seat's room, looking over her wounds. The left side of her face was covered in bandages. He looked down, seeing that they also covered her shoulders, chest, and one arm. Both legs were hidden beneath the bed sheet, but Unohana had said they were fine.
Kenpachi sighed in frustration, grabbing a chair and sitting down. "You better get better, Ayame," he grumbled.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Yachiru! Careful with Ayame or the Captain will have my head!" Ikkaku yelled.
"But she's so much fun to play with," Yachiru pouted.
"Can't you wait till she's fully healed?" Yumichika asked.
"Yumichika, you and I both know I will never be fully healed," Ayame retorted, rolling her eyes. "Let the kid have her fun."
"Yeahy!" Yachiru exclaimed, jumping on to Ayame's back.
Three months had passed since the incident in the World of the Living. Ayame's wounds took a month and a half to close, but her scars never completely healed properly. The scared skin was still tender and disfigured, as well as discolored. Now the young woman wore wrapped bandages around her chest, as well as on her face to hide the scars. Chunks of blue hair stuck out in some places in the wrappings on her head, giving her a devilish look.
Kenpachi looked after Ayame as she healed, along with Ikkaku, Yumichika, and Yachiru. She was confined to an office, filling out paperwork, and was suspended until further notice to make sure her wounds would not affect her on the battlefield. They didn't want her to reinjure herself so soon.
It was the middle of the day when Yachiru fell asleep after hours of playing. Ayame smiled down at the child in her arms before putting the child in her own room. The Fourth Seat then walked off to find the Captain and collect her paperwork. "Afternoon, Captain," Ayame greeted, walking in.
Kenpachi grunted from behind his desk as Ayame pulled up a chair, straddling it. "Jeez, looks like the other Squads really piled it on today," she mused, flipping through the pages sitting in the 'In' box.
"Those damn other Squads are annoying," he grumbled, making Ayame chuckle.
"Well, hand over a pen and I'll help you out."
Kenpachi grunted again, handing one over. The sound of scratching tips echoed in the room, as the papers were filled out one-by-one. "You'd think with the Winter Showdown approaching there would be less paperwork," Ayame muttered in frustration, causing Kenpachi to chuckle.
They went into another silence before Kenpachi asked, "How are you feeling?"
Ayame glanced up at her Captain briefly before looking back down at the paper. "Better, but nothing's changed with how they look."
"I don't see why you keep them covered up. You are in the Eleventh Division after all."
Ayame chuckled. "Yeah, well they're still a little tender to be out in the open when I'm running around. I take off the bandages at night and when they're not disgusting looking then I'll get rid of the veil."
In less than a second, Ayame found herself on her back on top of the main desk, Kenpachi towering over her.
"What the hell is this? You going soft on me?" he mocked. "Since when do you care about how a wound looks like?"
Ayame smirked. "Hell no, I'm just saying is I'm not comfortable at the moment and I don't want to open them again. Or do you not want me to get better and fight like a Fourth Seat should?"
Kenpachi grinned. "Good answer. However..." he reached forward with his hand, ripping off the bandages from around her eye. "I have yet to see what these wounds look like, so how do I know if you're lying or not?"
Out of instinct, Ayame reached up quickly, trying to hide the deformed skin, but Kenpachi was quick to catch the hand midway and pull it down gently. His eyes scanned area around her eyes where the burn left its mark. It was an angry red color, black, blue, and yellow bruised skin forming the scar to show healing. With his other hand he reached up, the tips of his fingers grazing the tender skin. Ayame closed he eyes in response, letting the Captain examine her skin. Something cool and soft touched the skin lightly, causing Ayame to feel like she was melting. Opening the opposite eye, the Fourth Seat was stunned upon seeing Kenpachi's lips to be the source. Her heart began to race, closing her eye again.
Ayame never realized how gentle the Captain of Squad Eleven could be and was surprised at his
