wasn't assuming hastily I knew the moment we met that he's not that kind of person as Noel, Caelus isn't as the yankees would say a 'scumbag' he is genuine in his act, even if he did become angry at least he is clear about why he is that way." Dido defended, this might seemed stupid or even irrational of her to say, but one thing most don't know is the kansens possess a common yet unique ability that makes them very different from humanity.

Spirits have a racial link that allowed them to feel and understand each other. Physically, mentally, and spiritually the kansens has a much weaker version that give them the ability to sense and feel the souls of others, since humans have not advanced enough they don't have any tech that counters this ability as a spirit would be capable, because no one wants to know or pry on others privacy.

Thus kansens are able to unconsciously judge a person of who they are just by being in the proximity of the soul or be expose enough that their souls be judge, even the kansens are unaware of this ability because the spirits never told them nor they need to know it just yet.

"He is always forgiving and even tried to help me when I make m-mistake, never once I experienced him shouting at me, he's always considerate of me, y-yet it's so frustrating for me to not be treated as a maid in his eyes....he's treating me like I am a friend to him! Always asking me to be just casual and he won't even let me serve him properly he's just to damn nice!" Dido replied with frustration at the end while biting on a handkerchief.

Her second reply was so unexpected for even Belfast, Dido always act in a timid and nervous manner but now she acts like there's no problem and she's even complaining that Caelus was being nice to her? Don't tell me she likes being treated badly? What is she a masochist? That's a wierd but terrible fetish to have, Belfast realizing what her mind is thinking throws it away.

"How unexpected......that certainly wasn't an answer I was expecting, Vestal may be right about this young man." Belfast thought to herself, having heard from Vestal about Caelus being an honest but kind man, yet she wasn't expecting it to be on a literal sense of the word, she was bemused by this turn of event not once she had seen someone act this nice.

If she didn't know any better she might have thought Dido was replaced by an imposter in no way would she act and say that way to a man she has only met and interacted in a few days even those individuals that she was assigned to would ridicule and complain about her, sometimes even harming her to vent their frustration from every mistake she made.

Yet only 2 days since she was assigned as the temporary servant to Caelus and she was already making a good impression of him, Belfast hopes that this would not be temporary and Caelus is truly genuine and not just acting, it has only been two days since he received Dido so he might show his true colors one day and Belfast is ready in protecting Dido but she hopes it wouldn't come that.

"I see glad to know he is being so nice to you Dido, maybe if he keeps this up you might be assigned permanently with him, the chief admiral had been considering this from what I have heard hopefully he will stay this and treat you with this much kindness." Belfast replied with a smile as Dido nodded but kept a small blush as she fell into whatever imaginations she'd imagining.

"Sorry for the wait, I hope I didn't take to long." Caelus says as he calms out of his wearing his official uniform just as he puts his naval hat on his head, Belfast just smiled before shaking her head as she says.

"No worries, you weren't that long now that you are done please follow me, I'll be showing you the way to the chief's office." Belfast says as she wave them to follow, Caelus nodded and made no word but just simply followed after her though not before looking ay Dido and ask her.

"You alright Dido? Your face is getting a bit flustered?" Caelus asked with a smirk as if knowing what she was thinking, the said woman snap from her thoughts, briefly panicking as she shakes her head while waving him off.

"No of course not master, it's just the heat really no need to worry about me, e-ehehe." Dido replied but Caelus gave her a mischievous smirk that tells he's not believing her word but won't say anything as he slowly turned around but not before giving a short reply.

"Hm..I don't see any of the air conditions broken or turned off, you sure it's not something else that got you'll hot up and bothered~?" He teases, that got her a full blown blush again just as Caelus turns away from her, Dido glare lightly at the tease while muttering something under her breath.

(Timeskip)

"We're here Sir. Caelus, the chief is just waiting inside for you, I'm afraid Dido will have to stay as this is a private matter that only you are allowed to know." Belfast replied as she gesture to the door which have a unique naval emblem, Caelus nodded at hearing her words giving a sure pat on Dido as he tells her to wait for him before entering.

"Uhm, excuse me admiral but I've heard you were looking for me?" Caelus asks as he enters the room, noticing the large room which could have fit a hundred of people inside, looking around for a few more second he soon found Steven sitting behind his desk while working on a few piles paperwork on his desk.

"Ah! Caelus just the man I was waiting for, I suppose you have heard from Belfast that I called your here because of some urgent matters? Please do come in there is much things that I need to discuss with you right now." Steven says as he stopped what he was doing and invited Caelus to come in his office.

"Yes, I've heard of it from Belfast but she hasn't told the reason why you call me here, just that it was matter and it concerns with my duty as a commander, if you don't mind me sir bit what is it really that you called me here?" Caelus asked as he enters the room and walked forward, reaching the desk as he stands a meter away from the admiral.

"Well please take a sit first and allow Mr to explain it to you." Steven says as Caelus quickly moves takes a sit in one of the nearby black colored sofa, while waiting for whatever explanation the admiral would say to him as he had been curious of why he was called here.

"Firstly the reasons why I've called you here concerns about one of our bases located farther in the pacific, one of the commanding officer that was in command of it was arrested for several cases that was recently uncovered by a inspector of ours sent their two weeks ago." Steven explains as he hands over a file towards Caelus who opens it.

"The inspector had noted signs of illegal activities from drugs, embezzlement of the base funds, to abuse on several of the kansens living there and so many more cases, now this have cause much headache for me after I've received it yesterday, the commanding officer and anyone involve with his case was arrested early this morning, and now the base need a new commander in charge." He added just as Caelus replied.

"And I suppose I was chosen to be the new commander of the base?" Caelus says as Steven nodded, the old man leans back on his chair as he let out a sigh while crossing his arms, briefly looking out of the window of his office before looking back at him and says.

"Unfortunately so, you have showed an exceptional skill during your time as an officer in training in the Atlantic Front, the admiral you had serve praise well of your ability as a competent commander, several of the kansens you have been helping even admit your capabilities as a leader was excellent compared to all other young commanders." Steven says.

"I was merely doing what I was tasked to do, most of the time I was handling logistics and management of the base whenever Admiral Alistair is away, I've participated in several missions but most focused on escorting supply ships, destroying remnant siren warships, or on a day or night patrol several miles off the cost of our base." He replied back as the admiral chuckles.

"And yet report says otherwise to what you say, Alistair spoke of how you have manage to beat 20 Executor class sirens and 300 mass produce ship with only a handful of destroyers and a pair of Cruisers and even took down a hidden siren base just 35 miles off the coast of Boston." Steven retorted as Caelus gave a wry smile while scratching his head.

"Would you believe me if I say that was just a coincidence? I wasn't really expecting to uncover that base nor my fleet were expecting to find that many sirens during one of our patrols." Caelus asked sheepishly as Steven shook his head before saying.

"Once or twice I can believe you but 7-9 times in every month? That's way off of being just a chain of coincidence, now I know you believe yourself not suited for this task but reports about your actions have fully convince the council after much debate about it yesterday and you have much more experience than most of the newly graduate officers we have."

"So I guess I don't have much a choice but to accept it then?" Caelus asked as Steven nodded confirming his thoughts as he let out a sigh before acknowledging that he can't avoid this new promotion that was being given to him.

"I'm afraid so, after all your considered as the best amongst your age and don't worry about the other officers that will be assigned to help you, I have already got it covered they'll be meeting you tomorrow before you leave, while I can understand that this may be too sudden for you, I hope you can understand." He says as Caelus just nodded.

"It's alright admiral it's not your fault, none of us were expecting this to happen, being assigned over a fleet is not what I expecting when I came here but not every expectations goes according to what we imagine." Caelus replied as Steven smiled at hearing his words.

"Well I am glad you understand but if you aren't sure yet of accepting this offer you can gladly say no, I do have enough authority to overrule the councils decision." Steven offered as Caelus thought of it for a brief moment before saying anything.

"I can't say no to a duty that I had sworn to uphold the moment I have taken this path, thank you for your offer of help admiral, but after some consideration I think I'll accept the new positi-." Unfortunately his words were cut-off by the door to the office roughly slamming open and a loud feminine scream came through the door that was now opened.

"Grandfather I object!"
