"What do you mean I can't go?!"
Never before had Killua seen the amount of anger within ones eyes, and that was saying something.
"I mean what I said."
He kept his cool, the direct opposite of what you had been doing at the moment. His hands was shoved in his pockets, looking down within her eyes, being that he was the tallest out of the trio. Her clenched fist was shaking at her side, and betrayal was clear in her eyes. Yet, the Zoldyck didn't care. He had to do this to you, why couldn't you understand?
"(Name). You and I both saw what happened to Kaito-"
"Which is more than a reason for me to go!"
Without much warning, she cut him off there, making him sigh. They fought their way through the Chimera, only to fall victim into one stronger than them by miles. In trying to protect the children, Kite got his arm taken from him. Never before had (Name) seen so much blood pour out through one part of the body.
"(Name)."
He stated her name more sternly that time, already knowing his reply. Gon was bursting with a rage immediately at the sight, only to be downed by Killua. And with haste they retreated, her tagging on behind at Kite's reassurance. It was then that both she and Killua knew he wasn't making it out of there.
"I...I-i..."
She faltered just then, lowering her head. The silverette's eyes darted over to the sleeping frame of his green-clad friend in the other room, before closing the door to focus back on the female. Placing a hand upon her shoulder, he spoke to her in a calming yet quiet voice.
"Look (Name), even Kaito agreed on this."
At this her head perked up, staring at him in what resembled shock.
"With no Hatsu, you're even more endangered then we are. Face it, your strength just isn't gonna cut it anymore."
No response was given, and Killua retracted his hand. Lavender blue hues stared at the (Hair Color) girl, watching as she didn't move.
It had been roughly a year since she joined their little group. He'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy her company. At first, he seemed to be hostile with her. Cold, constantly flickering between moods, all to get under her skin. But she didn't fall for it, and for that, he gave her props. Soon on, a relation between the two had formed. Teasing and wits. They'd attempt to outdo one another, having fun while doing so. She was impressive. He was sure she'd be able to open as much testing gates then he could, and all was raw strength.
She had this thing she tended to do, drawing people in. He'll admit, it almost worked on himself, but something stopped it before it could form all the way. Well, someone.
✿
"Killua,"
Gon came towards him once during their adventure within Greed Island.
"Hm?"
The albino would inquire, confused when his friend pulled him back from the two chattering girls in front of them. He could tell something was bothering his friend, as he didn't even look him in the eye. This wasn't Gon-like at all.
"Do you ever get this..weird flutter feeling inside?"
At no answer, the dark-haired boy looked to his friend. Immediately he was met in inquires.
"Flutter like how? Are you sick, Gon? How often does this happened?"
"E-er... No no! It's a good feeling, Killua! And, it happens only sometimes.. when I'm around.."
Killua saw as his friend would dart his eyes forward before back to his stomach, poking it questioningly. He'd trace his eyes, only for it to land on the giggling (Hair Color) girl in front of them. She was chatting away with Bisky. Killua's eyes widened.
"Gon, do you like (Name)?"
He sent Killua a look of confusion.
"Killua, that's mean. Why wouldn't I like (Name)?"
"Gon, I don't mean as in friends. I meant-"
"HEY, GUYS!"
The girl looked back to her two friends, hands resting on her hips. The boys stopped motion.
"Hisoka said we're here!"
A determined smile was sent her way by Gon, him nodding before looking to his best friend.
"Let's go play dodgeball!"
✿
He never did get to hear the rest of that answer. Instead, he begun paying more attention to the two. He caught the glances, the small smiles, even the-
"Killua."
His gaze went back to the girl, having noticed he spaced out. His thoughts were for later.
"What if... I got a Hatsu? Then, would I be able to come with?"
He didn't say anything. And she took the silence as her answer. It almost seemed impossible for her to gain a Hatsu, they tried. And even if she did manage to get one, after all this time, it'd take a while for her to develop it to make it stronger for a threat as big as this. Glaring, the girl spun on her heel, back facing the boy now. Killua done the same, resting his hand on the door, preparing to re-enter where his friend was resting.
"...Gon would let me go."
She ran off at Killua's response, furious and sad all the while. Sighing, he entered into the room, being sure the close the door behind him.
"We both know that's not true, (Name)."
