The ruins of burial mound had been deserted for many years after the incident with Wen Chao and most had been burned down or destroyed.

Inside was silent yet filled with demonic energy making the room feel colder than what it was considering it was only autumn. “Lan Zhan, something feels wrong.” Lan Wangji kept a close eye on Wei Wuxian while letting his eyes skim over the room. There is nothing here and much less Hu Feng. Each step they took echoed sending goosebumps up his skin making him shrink into Lan Wangji who held his hand before he glared into the darkness.

A dry laugh sounded off the walls making them aware that he was hidden within the darkness that not even the glow did Bichen could light up.
“Ah Wei Wuxian you’ve stupidly fallen into my trap.” Hu Feng’s voice bounced off the walls causing it to echo before it went silent. “But we don’t need him.” Confused both raised their weapons before force began dragging Lan Wangji out of the room, while binding Wei Wuxian’s feet to the ground. The force was painful on them, Lan Wangji felt as if his skin was going to be pulled off while Wei Wuxian felt  as if his lower body had been barried into the grown and was being pulled out like a radish.

“Wei Ying!” Struggling Lan Wangji didn’t want to let go of his hand, a strong fear coursed through his veins as he felt his fingers slip and Wei Wuxian flinch from the pain of being pulled. The memories of the day Wei Wuxian pulled his hand out of his filled his mind causing a cold sweat to form on his body.

 “Lan Zhan let go.”

“No”

“I’ll be ok, I promise, help the others. I still have the twin amulets they will keep me safe.” Lan Wangji wanted nothing more than to hold his hand and stay by his side but seeing the pain of having his arm pulled by him made him slowly release his hold.
The force that split them apart had sent him flying out and had the doors slammed in front of his face. With red rimmed eyes Lan Wangji banged on the door, he wanted it to break into nothingness so nothing could stop him from being besides his lover. Yet no matter how much he pounded he couldn’t open the doors.
'Come back to me, Wei Ying'

“Zewu-Jun! Look out!”

Behind Lan Xichen appeared a fierce corpse, bearing his dirty claws at him with a raspy growl cut at his throat. Preparing himself Lan Xichen blocked his uncle's sword while protecting him from being hit by the corspe

Yet as he waited for the claws to strike at him, they never came. “Wangji? What are you doing here? What about young master Wei?”

“Separated” His answer was short and clipped yet to Lan Xichen it meant alot. Even if his brother never showed his emotions on his face or said more than a sentence to people if they weren't him or Wei Wuxian, his eyes spoke many words.

Lan Wangji on the other hand had begun venting his rage onto the fierce corpses that were making their way to him and the others, allowing the corpses to be a distraction, stopping him from rushing back to those sealed doors.

“A-Cheng you remember the last time, when we were taken and were forced to attack the juniors? Before A-Xian lost his memories.”

“Yeah, What about it?” Jiang Cheng admired Jiang Yanli, although she was fending off against their mother she didn’t appear out of breath and was able to block all of her attacks.

“I think they’re under the same spell, but last time A-Xian was able to break the spell by removing the resentful energy controlling them, but what about now how do we break the spell that’s on our family?”

While blocking his fathers sword Jiang Cheng took a moment to think back to any clues they could use to get rid of the resentful energy.

'If you use the seven string guqin during battle while infused with your spiritual energy you will be able to cleanse Yin energy quicker'

“Ah! That’s it!” Lucky for him he spotted Lan Wangji defending Lan Xichen from getting attacked from behind. “Everyone! Listen to me.” Everyone took a second to glance over at Jiang Cheng, giving him a look that they were listening even if their bodies were stopping attacks from hitting them.

“Remember how Wei Wuxian placed an array on your swords, I want everyone to surround Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen using the sword array.”

The sword array, when used the cultivator will stab their sword into the ground and infuse their spiritual energy into it allowing a shining barrier to surround them. When used with more people the barrier will grow in size and will be stronger than before. Now that they have Wei Wuxian’s Yang array on their swords it will help them use less spiritual energy while keeping the barrier strong.

With swift movements they surrounded the twin jades of Lan, allowing the sword array to stop the upcoming attacks.

“Jiang Chen-”

“Just play the song of clarity or cleansing. I'm sure one will work with Wei Wuxian’s array.”

Lan Wangji sat on the ground facing Lan Xichen who stood with Liebing ready in his hands. With Wangji out on his lap both brothers chose the strongest song ‘Cleansing’. The seven string guqin had a deep sound  as it resonated in one's chest as Liebing had a softer tone that softened the melody of the song. Yet it didn't compare to the song that Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen played together to test out the strength of the array on Liebing and Wangji.

As if chains were wrapped around their loved ones they were unable to move from where they stood before their once red eyes turned back to their natural color. The fierce corpses that were near fell in defeat.

Yet as soon as everyone regained their consciousness they looked around confused as they were pulled into the barrier of swords. “What’s going on?” Lan Qiren was the first to speak as he noticed the dead corpses on the ground and that he wasn't in Lotus Pier where he last remembered being.

“Long story short the one who has been causing trouble is Jin Guangyao, some unknown masked guy which we’re sure is Su She and Hu Feng which is the closest thing to the creator of Yin aka the bad guy, and from what we know senior Wei and Hanguang-Jun got separated.” Lan Jingyi spoke out almost having forgotten that he should be speaking respectfully to Lan Qiren if he hadn’t seen the others bow at them.

“Mom how long had you been under that spell?” Jiang Yanli spoke quietly enough not to interrupt the others, yet Jiang Cheng listened in besides them.

“..During the banquet I had felt tired after eating and fell asleep and only woke up until now.” A sigh of relief left both of the siblings as they heard this. Although their mother and father were stern especially with Wei Wuxian they weren’t considered loving but they never treated him badly, their mother had even cried when Wei Wuxian had awoken after years of no response. So their actions at the pier had them confused and hurt.

“Why did I say or do anything during that time?”

“You, and father said harsh things to A-Xian and hurt not only him but us as well, but we should have known something was wrong since you two dont usually act like that.

Yet no matter how much they wanted to speak more, another wave of fierce corpses wouldn’t allow them to do so comfortably.

Just as swiftly as they had come together for the barrier, they just as quickly separated drawing the corpses in different directions. Luckily Wen Ning, Song Lan and Chifeng-Zun had come back and helped push back the corpses at a faster pace.

“Yo Jin Ling, Sizhui, Zizhen, is it just be or did the sky just turn red.” Confused, the boys looked up at the sky noticing the deep bloody shade of red making it turn from day to night. “Everyone! The sky!” Hearing the young boys voices they turned to the sky noticing the familiar red shade that reminded them of that night at burial mounds. Yet looking closely there was something in the air that came crashing down into the ground.

The thing that fell had caused a big wave of Yang energy causing the wave of corpses to weaken. Everyone had covered their faces preventing the dirt from going into their eyes and blinding them before they could see what it was that fell.

“Is..is that ChenQing? Wei Wuxian’s flute?” But that wasn’t all, hanging on the flute was the stygian tiger amulet.

As if aware where they were they flew in Lan Wangji’s direction and changed into their human form.

Sadly they couldn’t speak, they could only tug at his robes crying and trembling in silent please that no one could hear but them. Their eyes were red from constant crying and their clothes were dirty and ruined from having helped Wei Wuxian battle with Hu Feng.

They could still hear Wei Wuxian's voice echo into their ears.
Go to the others and do your best to help them.' Even with the blood on his mouth and messy hair he was still beautiful to them.
With a smile he held up the unfamiliar sword in his hand. 'Don't worry Suibian Is enough to protect me at the moment.'

And just like that Wei Wuxian had sent them flying with ChenQing right in the center of the battle.
