YN POV
Almost two weeks have passed, and I still have not managed to get all the guys into one room. I am using my teleport skill often, as the guys were splitting up because of their schedules. Some of them would be at HQ working, others would be home, and I was making sure everyone was safe where ever they were. Jungkook was acting a bit strange, he would get clingy, then distant, then suddenly we're besties, and then I was questioning if we were more than friends. Currently, I was sitting at an empty desk within the Big Hit building, resting my head on my arms. Yoongi and Namjoon were doing their thing in their studios, Hobi, Jimin and Kookie were in the dance studio, Jin and Tae had lost a bet and were running to get snacks. I was keeping track of all of them. I leaned back in the chair, staring at the ceiling before taking out both my phones. I checked my schedule and their schedules; I would put a damn meeting on their calendar to get all of us together to I can talk to them about the phone call.
I was grumbling to myself, before I stilled and waited to receive the signal on whether to teleport to Tae and Jin or not. They were at the convenience store that was next store, but I felt a quick tug from Jin before it disappeared. I pursed my lips, before sighing and teleporting to just outside the store. There were a couple girls taking pictures, but it wasn't chaotic, and they were not standing too close. I watched carefully and realized Jin had most likely been surprised but appeared to be fine now. I decided to wait for them, shifting from foot to foot in an effort to keep myself warm.
***BTS POV
Tae looked past Jin and out the window, surprised to see Y/N standing there, shuffling from foot to foot. Hobi had said that he had placed an order to buy a winter jacket, but it had not been delivered yet. She must be cold, but then she seemed to stop moving, while staring into the store watching the fans that had happened to see us in there. They were giving us plenty of space which is probably why she wasn't coming inside. Tae nudged Jin getting his attention, nodding his chin in the direction of the window.
"Why is she not wearing a jacket?" Jin asked while frowning. They paid for the snacks and walked outside.
"Y/N, aren't you cold?" Tae asked resisting the urge to walk up to her and pull her into his body.
She shook her head while watching us huddle more into our jackets, "Are you guys cold?" she asked instead.
We both nodded at her question confused, of course it was cold, how was she not cold? The temps were quickly dropping as October was coming to an end. She sighed, then just as quickly the cold air disappeared, and a reasonable warmth surrounded us. She stepped closer to us, "Let's head back, I am sure the rest of the guys are waiting for the snacks."
"Thanks, Y/N but you don't have to strain yourself to warm us also, we have jackets," Jin said, concern lacing his voice.
He watched her roll her eyes a bit at him, "This is not a strain on me, you guys have to understand I only get strained when I have to use my big skills back-to-back," she explained as she moved forward, leading them back to BigHit.
She suddenly turned and looked back at them while continuing to walk backwards. She seemed to be contemplating on whether to say something or not, when she scrunched up her face, and came to a stop. We stopped walking also not sure what was going on, "What's going on with Kookie?" she asked.
We had noticed JK acting weird around her the past couple weeks and was probably giving Y/N whiplash. He has been clingy some days and then totally indifferent on other days. We were pretty sure he wanted to go that next step, but thought he was second guessing himself because he had always been a fan of hers.
We both looked down at her shaking our heads not willing to answer that question. That was something JK was going to have to address with Y/N and soon. She sighed and waved it off before turning and walking the rest of the way with them in tow. We chit chatted about random things, when suddenly her phone rang just as we were approaching the practice room. We couldn't see the caller ID, but watch her frown before she waved us away. We continued our way into the practice room, leaving Y/N in the hallways.
"Kookie you gotta figure out what the heck you want, you are driving Y/N insane with your back and forth," Tae said as he walked into the practice room.
Kookie craned his neck up from his spot on the floor to make eye contact with Tae before laying back down and staring at the lights overhead. He had already decided what he wanted but putting his wants into action was proving more difficult than he thought. He wanted to go on a proper date with Y/N because she deserved that much. He had been watching the rest of their interactions with her and they each made small adjustments that he noticed in order to make Y/N feel loved. Whether with food, small gifts, affection, compliments, they made sure she felt included. It wasn't difficult for us all to go out in public with her, she was always aware of our surroundings and always adjusted her spacing appropriately to us.
Yoongi and Namjoon walked in but still Y/N had not come into the practice room. "Did you guys see Y/N on your way here?" Jimin asked as he helped lay out the snacks.
Yoongi nodded and threw his thumb back to indicate the door while Namjoon announced, "She is in the hallway on the phone."
Kookie thought over the past couple weeks, frowning a bit. "Y/N has been on the phone a lot these past couple of weeks."
He lifted his head when he heard a humming sound. Everyone was looking at Yoongi who was looking thoughtful. "Remember that phone call she got a couple weeks ago when she was having a rough morning because she was expending too much energy?" He asked everyone as he glanced at all of their faces.
"The one where she was basically exhausted but still teleported to her room to be able to answer her phone?" Hobi asked.
Yoongi nodded, "Yes that one, you guys are probably lucky sometimes that you can't feel the emotions of others. Her anger lashed out so fast before sadness and determination swept in."
"Sadness?" Tae said lifting his head to stare worriedly at Yoongi.
Yoongi grunted, "She has also been getting more and more frustrated recently, so I don't know..." he trailed off and looked towards the door.
He frowned but turned and looked back at the guys who were watching him. He shook his head; he couldn't even begin to describe the flow of emotions that just hit him. Everything from relief, to concern, to sadness, to anger, then a calm seemed to come over her. It was almost frightening, how calm she was feeling, it was like she had just accepted something that she had been fighting internally with. He turned back to the door and watched as Y/N came through the door. She looked at them all and all he felt was a warmth flow from her to them and them back to her. A small smile graced her face as she walked in before looking around and realizing they were all alone.
She turned back to the door and locked it, before waving a hand and he knew a barrier had gone up. "Ah, did you just set up a barrier?" Kookie asked looking around, he couldn't see it, but he knew it was there.
"Yes, I need to tell you guys something and have had to tell you guys something for a couple weeks now," she said as she ran her hands through her hair before continuing.
"I know it isn't the best of times, but you guys told me I could count on you and that since this affects all of us, I need to fill you guys' in."
"This sounds serious, baby girl," Namjoon said, looking at her.
She nodded and came to join our circle, where she seemed to hesitate as to whether it would be better to stand or sit. "You guys trust me, right?" she asked and looked at us like her heart would break right then and there. There was an inner turmoil going on within her, we could all tell.
"We all trust you and any decisions you make regarding us," Namjoon said, waving his hand to encompass everyone there and including her. All the guys nodded in agreement, before she gave a firm nod herself.
"You guys remember that rumor that goes around that Anomalies don't live long lives because after a certain about of time they seem to disappear from the world and suddenly a new Anomaly is born?" she asked looking at us all.
Yoongi felt his heart sink. No... this cannot be happening to them. They had just found her, the missing puzzle piece that fit so perfectly into their lives. Silence fell among them until suddenly Hobi's voice broke through, "They can try but I know they will never be able to take you down."
"Guys, the problem isn't whether she can or cannot do this, and I hate to even bring this up, but the problem is does she stay with us or does she leave us due to the danger that may also include us," Namjoon said seriously.
Everyone's knee jerk reaction was to be like are you crazy and how can you say that, but he was the leader thus when it came to BTS as a whole he had to look at the big picture and what was best for them. Jimin looked at Y/N and saw the flash of hurt cross her face, but she quickly hid it before nodding her head at Namjoon's words.
"I know you are looking out for what's best for us, but don't you think we should listen to her first before saying anything that you might regret?" Jimin huffed out angrily.
Everyone looked back and forth between each other, while Jimin and Namjoon stared at each other. Y/N's loud sigh brought the attention back to her as she pinched the bridge of her nose before speaking, "You don't have to worry about any danger to come towards you, I know my skills and some of their tactics so..." she shrugged trailing it off, "but if you feel it necessary that I leave I can do that, but Namjoon, think long and hard about the repercussions of your choice."
"What do you mean by that?" Namjoon said stonily, making her raise her eyebrow.
She chuckled scarily, "Whether I am with you or not, I will end this and once everything goes back to normal, do not expect for things to be the same between us."
Everyone was shocked by Y/N challenging Namjoon, as she usually went with the flow. The rest of us recognized that she was feeling betrayed by Namjoon at the moment thus she was hurt and angry. They have told her numerous times that she could rely on them, that they could protect her too, but Namjoon had just shot himself in the foot by saying something directly opposite of that.
"So much for counting on you guys..." she murmured before moving towards the door.
"You guys discuss it over and let me know, I am going to take a walk," and with those words she was gone.
Everyone turned towards Namjoon, who was standing there like someone had just slapped him. "I messed up," he said before turning and running out of the room.
Everyone nodded and grinned at each other, as they watched Namjoon run after the love of their lives. Hopefully, he would be able to patch the hole he had just made in her heart.
Apologies for the delay. Things were a little chaotic with family and friends, so I wasn't able to focus on this. I was finally able to sit down and get this edited (ended up rewriting half of it haha). Hope everyone is taking care of themselves, stay safe and healthy.
