"That was something..."

You huffed, rubbing your head in slight exhaustion. Beside you, garnet stood, her one hand resting on your shoulder and the other holding up a bubble, containing your recent catch. "Probably should have done something differently..."

Garnet patted your shoulder. "That was my fault. I should have let you try to handle things." She assured gently, to which you simply chuffed in light uncertainty. "But we can try again later."

You looked at her in surprise. "Try again?"

"Yes. You can do it, (name)." She states with confidence. "Besides, if we're able to communicate with corrupted gems, we'll likely find a quicker way to curing them." She offers you a kind, hopeful smile. "And then, we can learn more about you."

"Hmm..." you narrowed your eyes slightly. It wasn't that simple. Like garnet explained, a corrupted gem's mind is warped beyond recognition. It could be days, maybe weeks before you could manage to talk sense into a corrupt gem. And even after you did, figuring out the cure won't be any easier. Even if they did gain a sense of rationality, you knew that alone wouldn't fix it. You don't even remember what caused yours! And you doubt there was any gem that could possibly remember who you are. "Well.."

But you stole another glance at the bubbled gem and felt your mouth drop into a frown. But like amethyst said... they were once like them as well. And who were you to deny them a chance at getting their rational thinking back? After all how could you pass up the chance to figure out a cure to fellow corruptions without violence? It'll be lengthy, but it's better than nothing. You huffed, but straightened up, giving a slight nod to garnet. "Okay. (Name) will try." Garnet smiles in gratitude and nodded to you. "Thank you, (name). You don't realize how much that means to us." You gave a nod, before turning your attention to the living room.

You just realized how silent it was.

"Steven? Spinel?"

You were met with silence.

You narrowed your eyes with a suspicious grumble. "That's odd..." you noted wearily, your eyes scanning the cozy enclosure, namely the loft they usually resided in, which was oddly empty. You rumbled uneasily, raising your muzzle slightly to scent the air. To your relief, a sweet scent still hung in the air, which signaled that the two were still in the home, but just not in the beach house section. Then they're probably in Ameythyst's room... you thought, turning to follow Garnet as she turns towards the temple doors. I hope their being-

Hehehe!~

You jerked your head up the instant you heard the light sound and instictively turned back to scan the room yet again. Still no sign of them around. You grunted. I hear them... but I can't- After a moment of unease, you quickly piece together what was going on. Ah... ha.

Slowly you step into the living room, playful grin curving your muzzle, looking around the room yet again. Garnet followed suit, joining you in your search.

"Guys. We know you're here." Garnet said in a playful, teasing voice.

There's giggling again, followed by light shushing.

Again you scan the area, trying to pinpoint the location of the sound, but still finding nothing. But they still sounded oddly close. Your eyes narrowed slightly. Where ever they are, they clearly aren't anywhere on the ground...

"Come on out." Garnet spoke again, placing a hand on her hip. "You know we can sense you."

"Sibling bomb!"

The moment you lifted your head you were met with a light weight landing on your head, followed by joyous giggling. Looking up, you smiled warmly at the smiling pink face before you.

"We got ya!" Spinel triumphantly exclaimed, from atop your head.

"Steven and spinel got us." You purred, tail wagging subtly at the sight of the young duo.

"And now you're blind!" Exclaimed Steven covering garnet's visor with spinel following suit to yours.

"Tiny hands," Garnet smiles, taking steven off her head to hold him out in front of him, and you couldn't help but feel adoration at the wholesome little smile on his face.

"My only weakness."

"Indeed," You mused, plucking spinel off your head, sitting back on your hocks, to cradle the pink gem in your arms, adoring her smile as well.

"Ferocious."

That was when the bubbled gem floats past steven's face, as well as Spinel's, who's faces immediately light up in amazement at the mere sight.

"Whoa!" Steven pipes as you quickly snatched the bubble and held it in your free mid-paw.

"What'd you guys do today?" Asked spinel as you now held her in your one arm.

You and garnet exchange glances between each other, a smirk enlightening your faces as you both looked back down at the young gems in front of you.

"Tell us what you think we did."

Steven and spinel's face lit up brighter than stars as they both looked at each other with big smiles.
