Back in the temple, you stare at the blue temple door, fiddling nervously with your hands with a troubled sneer on your muzzle. You groan in your throat in anxiousness as you brought your paws to your face, nibbling them lightly. Why am I worrying so much? You mentally scolded yourself, glowering at nothing.
I shouldn't be.
I shouldn't be worried.
Amethyst told me not to.
Surely she'll be able to keep her word?
...But can a carefree gem like her actually watch them in that war zone of a room?
"Rrrrrgh.."
You turn your head back to see lion approach, his face as cavalier as always, but he had a dash of solace in his aura as he approached, a low purr of greeting emanating from his throat. "Hello lion," you greet with a brief nod, before looking back at the temple door. "(Name) worried about steven and spinel." Your clasped your hands together, nibbling at your thumbs nervously. "Steven and spinel in amethyst's room. Lots of dangerous things in amethyst's room. Steven and spinel could get hurt. Very hurt..."
Lion either didn't understand you or wasn't worried, because he merely responded by yawning and laying down beside you, curling up in preparation for a nap. You stared for a moment before sighing yourself. "Lion right... (Name) shouldn't worry so much." You huffed, rubbing the bridge of your muzzle. "(Name) needs to trust the gems." You chanted to yourself, as you reached over to grab steven's phone to distract yourself. I need to relax. Surely the gems would know to protect my young friends after what has happened.
What could distract them from protecting them now?

"Cannon ball!"
Steven leaps from a pile, and plunges into a puddle, creating a decent splash, prompting spinel to shield herself with a laugh. After a moment he re-emerges smiling over to the giggling pink gem. "Spinel, did you see?" Spinel smiles and gives the boy an approving wink. "I think it was your best one!" She then turns her attention to the watching amethyst who was sprawled out across a sofa. "Right Amy? you saw it, right?"
Amethyst, while amused, wasn't too impressed. "Eh. you need to put more ball into your cannon." Steven and spinel exchange confused glances with each other before looking back up at her. "Is that gonna hurt...?" Amethyst grinned mischievously and stood up. "Not if you do it like... THIS!" She leaps from her perch, shape-shifting herself into an actual cannonball, and splashes into the water, creating a large splash that soaks the two, making them laugh joyously. After which, they climb out to dry ground, still giggling. "That was awesome!" Steven exclaimed, sitting at the edge of the puddle as spinel wrung out her pigtails. "Yeah! Let's jump into some more puddles!" Amethyst swims upto the two, shaking her wet bangs from her eyes. "Okay," she then gestures to the various puddles dappled all around her room. "You could try that one.. or that one.." As she gestured around, spinel's attention was caught on a small puddle just beside steven and pointed to it. "What about that one?"
Amethyst became uneasy as steven and spinel knelt down beside it. "whoa, guys, wait-!"
They both dunked their heads in simultaneously plunged their heads into the small puddle, only to discover it led into the burning room, where they find garnet walking beneath them, letting one of her recently bubbled gems float to the ceiling just beside the puddle. Just as they exchanged glances between each other, amethyst dunks her hands in and yanks both of their heads out in a haste. "Only garnet's allowed in there," she explains nervously. "Well, her and maybe (name), but still." She releases the two and glances around. "Let's do something less dangerous." After searching for something she points to a large, looming tower of various knickknacks. The duo stared in amazement at the impossible junk tower. "Wowee..." Spinel exclaimed in hushed awe. "How do you even stack your stuff like that??" Steven asked in astonishment. Amethyst seemed proud of this reaction. "It's a talent."
Spinel shrugs and walks over to the pile along with steven. Coiling her legs into springs, she crouches down and, with effort, bounces herself off the ground, launching her to the top of the pile in seconds, much to the awe of young boy. a few seconds later, she slings her arm down, offering her hand to steven to which he takes giddily, after which she pulls him up onto an old ironing board. after sharing a small giggle fit, the two look down from the precarious perch to the puddle below. At their height, it was no bigger than a small sofa, and amethyst beside it looked no bigger than a grape at their height. "Do it!" Her voice called, it sounding far away. After exchanging a nod with each other steven and spinel started to psyche themselves up. "Amethyst, I hope you're ready," Steven said, taking a deep breath, and taking spinel's hand into his. "'Cause here we.. GOOOO-!" They strike off the makeshift diving board at the last word, striking a stray tire mid fall causing them to break apart and yell in instinctive alarm as they both plunged into the puddle, but instead of hitting the bottom, they travel through a brief stream of sorts, and emerged through the other side, splashing into another pool entirely.
A clean, crystal clear pool of water that flowed over the bowl like structure, much Like a waterfall.
"Huh..?" Steven looks at the many waterfalls circling them in astonishment. Spinel looked more confused than astonished. "Hey, isn't this pearl's room?"
Amethyst appears shortly after, with an amused laugh. "That was crazy, huh?" that was when she looked up to the highest of waterfalls. To see none other than pearl, who appeared to be dancing with a pink bubble, filled with what looked like gem shards. This raised a flag within the purple gem's head. "What is she doing with a rose quartz bubble?" Steven was looking as well, but his attention was on the bubble. "My mom bubbled that?"
Amethyst didn't hear him, as a smug smirk tugged at her lips. "garnet's gonna be so maaaa-" Her words become muffled as she sinks into the pool, making her way over to pearl's location, to which steven and spinel follow with mischievous giggles.
As pearl was inspected the bubble, humming to herself in what sounded like interest, she failed to notice the purple gem sneaking up behind her grinning maliciously. Once she was close enough, she took a deep breath and bellowed out at the top of her lungs;
"BUSTED!!!"
