Tour flew by.
Soon enough, it was time to go back home. Lewis and Logan spent time apart, working separately on the new album. Lewis' soulmate moved in with him, despite not even knowing if they'd get along other than the written messages and phone calls.
And surprisingly, Lewis didn't update Logan on that development, so imagine the shock on his face when he came over, and instead of Lewis' normal tired grin, he was greeted by a willowy blonde girl, her hair falling in a bedhead mess around her shoulders as she smiled politely and invited him in.
"Babe, someone's here!" She called up the stairs, getting a faint 'Be right down!' in return. She turned to Logan, then told him, "He's still gonna be a few minutes. D'you want something to drink?"
"I'm good, thanks," he managed, just standing there. He felt kind of weird, because the girl was familiar, he just couldn't place her.
Soon enough, Lewis came bounding down the stairs, wiping sleep from his eyes. But as soon as he caught sight of Logan, he practically launched himself at his friend.
Logan made sure his dumbass friend didn't hit the wall, hugging him close. Lewis still gently kissed the other man's shoulder, murmuring "I missed you."
"It's been like a month, buddy," Logan replied, laughing a bit. "You couldn't have missed me that much."
"I always miss you." He cleared his throat as he took a step back, gesturing towards the girl with a wide smile. "Anyway, sunshine, this is Z. Babe, this is Logan, my best friend and literally the light of my life."
"It's nice to meet you in person," Z murmured, handing Lewis his cup of coffee before extending her hand. "Lew doesn't shut up about you, you know."
"Same. He doesn't shut up about you, either," Logan replied, shaking her hand as Lewis protested.
There was a smile on his face, though, when he ushered Logan into the living room to sit down. "How've you been? How's Ruby?"
"We're both good. Obviously not living together or anything, but it's good," Logan told him. "I just came over to check on you, you haven't been answering my texts."
"I've been helping Z move her stuff here. Sorry, man. I guess you probably wanna see what I've got, like, music wise for the new stuff too."
