"This verse needs to be a bit shorter, I think," Lewis murmured, tapping his pen against his chin. He, like always, was sitting right beside Logan, except this time, he was even closer, practically in the younger man's lap.
Logan took the notebook, read over the words, then shrugged. "Maybe cut this line out?"
Lewis looked it over, nodded, then stretched enough to peck Logan's cheek. "Thanks, sunshine."
If their bandmates found it odd, they didn't say a word.
Later in that writing session, Lewis slipped up and called Logan 'babe'. He froze and cast a guilty glance towards the other two bandmates, who just sighed.
"We know, you don't have to keep hiding," Spencer told them both, rolling his eyes as Jon nodded.
Lewis stuttered out a soft 'okay', but hid his face against Logan's chest anyway.

"We're gonna be late, c'mon!" Logan called up the stairs.
Lewis had spent the past half hour upstairs getting ready, and Logan was starting to get impatient. The movie started in about half an hour, and the only way they were going to make it was if traffic wasn't atrocious.
"I'm sorry I took so long, I couldn't decide what to wear, then my hair wasn't cooperating," Lewis explained as he almost ran down the steps, not paying attention and crashing right into Logan.
Logan made sure the smaller man didn't fall, giving him a patient smile as he adjusted the collar of his jacket. "Stop apologizing so much," he murmured, bending down to give him a quick kiss. "Are you ready to leave now?"
Lewis grinned and reached out for his hand. "Yeah. Let's go."
————
"I know you told me you didn't want anything for your birthday, but... I planned some stuff out," Lewis told Logan as the two of them got ready to go to bed. "I'd feel bad if I didn't do something."
He was expecting Logan to say something. He sighed and started to look for a shirt, but he froze when he was being hugged from behind. Despite the height difference, the younger man leaned down far enough to hook his chin on Lewis' shoulder. "Thank you, baby. But just remember, whatever you have planned, I'll have something better for your birthday."
"Mine is literally seven months away," the smaller man replied, "But I'm not gonna argue with you."
"Good. You'd never win anyway," Logan teased, kissing his cheek.
Lewis laughed, returning the kiss. "You'd let me win, 'cuz you love me."
————
"Logan! Lewis!"
The shouts confused the couple, at least until they saw the fan walking towards them with a timid smile.
Immediately, Lewis' grip slipped from holding Logan's hand to holding on to his sleeve. They both returned the smile, though.
Logan was the more sociable of the two, so he asked, "Hey, what's up? What's your name?"
The boy in front of them blushed as much as Lewis normally did, answering, "I'm Bailey, I just saw you guys and I remembered that you don't mind when fans wanna say hi, so... hi."
Lewis grinned and placed his free hand on the boy's shoulder for a moment. "Hi, Bailey."
"We don't mind. Wanna take a picture or something?" Logan asked, giving the boy his almost trademark smile.
He looked dumbfounded, but nodded and pulled out his phone. Lewis gently rested his head on the fan's shoulder, while Logan leaned down to grin over the other shoulder.
It was definitely worth getting interrupted, because the kid looked like this had made his whole year.
