Third Person's POV

Naruto and Sasuke walked into the breakfast room. Without their female sensei.

"Hey, Where's Asoka-sensei?" Sakura asked as the boys took their seats.

"She's outside." Naruto said between stuffing his face with food.

"Doing what?" Kakashi asked, confused. He was still suspicious of that young woman. He didn't like the way she dodged his questions.

"I don't know, but she seemed really... scared." Naruto said. Silently, Mussō-ka entered the kitchen from the window, going unnoticed by everyone but Kakashi.

"Hello, Mussō-ka." Kakashi greeted him, meeting the stuffed toy's gaze.

"Hello, Scarecrow. I'm brewing today's tea. Chocolate flavored. Please do excuse me." He hastily said, going into the kitchen, disappearing for a few minutes as everyone looked at Kakashi for an explanation as to why the stuffed toy was moving.

"I told you...That's Asoka's friend..." Kakashi said with a sweat drop. Everyone seemed satisfied with his answer - for the moment - and went back to eating. Mussō-ka soon left with a cup of tea and kettle strapped to his back, out the window which was the way came.

Yelling was heard from the roof, making everyone pause and look up, wishing to have X-Ray vision. Soon the yelling stopped and Kakashi stood up, his stomach still unsatisfied; people were around so he couldn't take off his mask. He left out the door to see what was going on outside.

Kakashi climbed up the roof using his chakra. He looked over the red tiled roof to see Asoka with her knees gathered up to her chest, her arms hugging her legs closer to her. Resting on her knees was her head and her bangs were keeping her face from view. She wasn't saying anything, but she shook with silent sobs. Mussō-ka was next to her, placing a reassuring plush hand on her shoulder. The Copycat ninja realized Asoka was having another minor anxiety attack. Mussō-ka was trying to calm her down, though it was fruitless. In the back of her head, a evil and dark voice spoke to her.

"You are alone, always. Everyone leaves you in the end. Just kill yourself to stop the pain. Or give yourself a larger pain to numb the other one," It hissed threateningly. Fervently, Asoka shook her head, trying to rid of the voice, but she was the only one who was able to hear it.

"A-Asoka, are you alright?" Kakashi asked, unsure. Her head whipped up to Kakashi's direction, suddenly realizing he was there. A faint trail of a salty tear made itself known as it dripped from the right side of Asoka's chin. Said girl's red-violet eyes were much more lifeless - darker than usual - as well as tired and stressed.

"Asoka, what's wrong?" Kakashi asked, realizing that Asoka wasn't okay mentally. Asoka didn't reply. Instead, she just turned her head back down, grabbing Mussō-ka and crushing him into her chest. As more anxiety built, more tears came rolling down her cheeks and onto the roof like tiny rain.

Meanwhile, the melancholic voice continued its evil rant inside of Asoka's mind. "Go on, take a kunai and just slice your wrist, nobody will mind, go on. It'll feel better, I promise." The voice urged her. Asoka madly shook her head again as a small sob escaped the confines of her lips. The hand that was wrapped around her foot traveled to her head, grabbing her hair and pulling, as if trying to pull the voice out with her hair.

"Scarecrow! Pressure point her, say soothing things, calm her down, do something!" Mussō-ka's muffled voice came, addressing Kakashi.

Said ninja's visible eye darted to Mussō-ka for a second, then returned to Asoka, as the words the toy had spoken were processed and comprehended. He didn't want to hurt her, so he simply kneeled down next to her and tenderly hugged her.

Asoka's body was enveloped in Kakashi's chest and her grip on Mussō-ka loosened slightly, allowing him to 'swim' up and catch his breath. Asoka's heart beat slowed as a sense of security and comfort overwhelmed her. The voice was being drowned out in some emotion... what was it?

Whatever it was, it was a feeling so strong and pure that sent a wonderful warm feeling to erupt from Asoka's stomach and spread out from her head to her toes. Obviously, Asoka didn't know what it was; she had the worst social skills in the world. But right at that moment, she felt safe, as if nothing would go wrong, like her only friend wasn't caught by the FBI, like she wasn't having nightmares and hearing voices, being paranoid. Asoka, at that moment, could say that she felt safe. There was no other word to really explain it, a whole thesaurus would do no one any good.

Feeling at peace, Asoka closed her eyes and leaned on Kakashi's chest, savoring the sweet feeling. Slowly, not wanting to disturb the girl, Kakashi's arms wrapped around her small figure. He picked her up, bridal style, keeping her securely against his chest. Her heart beat was much slower now, but he knew - by some intuition, or instinct - that she was still awake. He couldn't help but be captivated by the peaceful expression on her face.

Silently, Kakashi sighed, causing Asoka to move in synchronization Kakashi's moving chest. She moaned something unintelligible and seemed to involuntarily snuggle closer to Kakashi. The jonin's face exploded a brilliant shade of red behind his mask and he wondered if he should watch out for nosebleeds around this girl. Then he sweat dropped, remembering that the last nosebleed he had was when he was reading the fourth chapter of the first erotic novel he had ever set his eyes on.

Kakashi sat cross-legged, letting Asoka rest on his chiseled chest. She was nestled in his lap, her eyes closed and her breathing slow. Her body was at absolute relaxation against his, knowing she was safe.

(A/N: (////) Oh god I have to stop here or I'll die from blood loss, from my own writing!)

Although Kakashi, too, felt safe, he knew this would only be temporary. There was an intriguing feeling in his heart, drawing him towards the young woman. He sighed and pushed her away, against his personal wish. However, he knew they had to go do their job.

Asoka's eyes snapped open as a feeling of dread and unease spread in her stomach. She didn't like it... At all. Kakashi also felt a sinister sensation in his heart as he pushed the young woman away from his chest. He felt this feeling once, and it hurt last time, but now it simply stung. But, when she was with him, he felt good, as if his bad past had gone and disappeared, he realized.

"We have to go and guard Tazuna." Kakashi told Asoka, softer than he had anticipated. Her eyes met his as a wave of disappointment washed over her. She liked the warm feeling given to her when he had let her rest on him.

Asoka was calm now, not emotionless. She nodded silently and a small spark of hope lit in her eyes. However, it darkened when her thoughts drifted off to her best friend.

'No, calm down. They don't kill master mind hackers. They won't do anything serious, they might even use her for the FBI. Yeah. She was doing what she had to do to survive. Kiki lives a life of hacking to live. The Mafia is ruthless, if they want her to make something, she either does or dies. People can't know the whereabouts of them. Kiki has to keep herself hacking as a purpose, the Mafia has no use for useless people, calm down...' Asoka thought to herself with an exasperated sigh.

'Yeah, she'll be safe once she explains her situation. The FBI will protect her. She's the one the mafia will be after once the FBI get her. The Mafia HATES it when information runs loose and those loose ends begin flying in the wind. Sometimes the information might change, helping for the better, but they don't like taking the risk. Just calm down. Calm Down. Deep breaths.'

Asoka's heart beat decelerated to a normal pace as she mentally comforted herself further. She looked down at Kakashi again as she stood up. They both felt slightly colder but pushed it aside. They had no time for whatever feelings they had for each other; now wasn't the time.

Asoka leaped off the roof silently, landing with a small thud as her feet hit the ground, momentum forcing to her knees, then onto her stomach, sliding on the ground and dirtying her shirt while Kakashi looked over the roof, shocked.

"A-are you alright?" He asked, stifling a laugh, realizing how stupidly she'd landed.

She mumbled something that sounded an awful lot like "Yeah, you scarecrow," and pushed herself up onto her knees. Her nose was bleeding and her face, hair and shirt were filthy. She didn't look happy at all, and Kakashi laughed at her expression.

"I'm taking a shower." Asoka grumbled, leaving Kakashi to go down to his students.

-FF-

Kakashi read his book as Naruto and Sasuke were training on the trees. Naruto was getting the gist of things, and Sasuke was about equal to him. Asoka and Sakura were at the bridge, protecting Tazuna.

"Ne! Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto yelled, distracting Kakashi from his book.

"Hm?" Kakashi asked.

"Is Asoka-sensei really a princess?" Naruto asked.

"It's not my place to say; you'll have to take it up with her." Kakashi muttered.

"Oh... Then, what's the Bara clan?!" Naruto shouted, even though he was practically in front of Kakashi. Sasuke subtly turned to Kakashi, too, also curious, but not wanting to show it.

"Well, the Bara clan is a clan from the Village Hidden in the Grass. It used to rule the land another clan, but the scrolls don't tell the name of the clan. I don't know much about this clan, and Asoka probably knows just as much as I do." Kakashi explained, rubbing the back of his head with a sheepish close eyed smile.

"Oh." Naruto said, disappointed.

"Let's ask her when she gets back, maybe she knows more than you think she knows." Sasuke said, mostly to himself. However, Naruto nodded in agreement while Kakashi looked to be deep in thought.

'That could be true. I still have a huge load of questions to ask her...' He thought to himself, then went back to reading his book.

-Meanwhile-

Asoka, Sakura and Tazuna were on the bridge...well not all of them were actually ON the bridge...because Asoka stood 50 feet away from the beginning of the bridge, refusing to pass that point.

"Asoka-sensei! Come on!" Sakura yelled, frustrated. Sometimes her sensei acts like a spoiled child, she thought.

"No." Asoka rejected emotionlessly, crossing her arms.

"ASOKA-SENSEI! WE HAVE TO GUARD TAZUNA-SAN!" Sakura yelled, stomping her foot, an anger vein on the side of her head. Yes, her teacher was childish, but adding emotionless to that factor made her want to rip her - Shhhhhh, calm down Inner Sakura...calm down...

Better.

Sakura sighed in exasperation, giving up on her sensei. Walking over to Tazuna, she sat on the side of the bridge and watched Tazuna and all the other men work. She didn't notice her sensei slowly made her way down a slope.

-Asoka's POV-

Hmmmm...Maybe...I could...try to learn...how to swim..? Or float? You know, in case they try to throw me off the bridge. I mean, Haku knows I can't swim...the bastard might try something. I took off my shirt and shorts, so I was in a bra and underwear. I mean, it's just like a bikini, and it's not like anyone's looking, right?

I crept into the water...go slow...careful, Asoka. Then, WHAM. My head went underwater. My foot touched the rocks on the bottom, and something sharp poked my toe. I screamed, but only bubbles came from my mouth. It won't stop hurting! I jumped up and ran to land.

My toe was red, and attached to it...was a big red crab.

WTF?!

Oh my gosh, somebody didn't have enough money, like Kazuzuko, whatever his name is. Yeah. Plan A: Learn how to swim. Failed.

I sighed and put on my shirt and shorts. After flapping them in the wind to get the remaining dirt off, I walked back up the hill and felt tired. Why does swimming make people tired all the time? I didn't even swim, I almost drowned! Either way, I collapsed on the grass next to the bridge and closed my eyes, letting myself fall into the waves of sleep.

-Sakura's POV- (Is it too OOC?)

I observed the situation quietly. Man, Asoka-sensei is such a baby. She won't come onto the bridge. And she's just sleeping there. Grrrr. No, it's alright. Calm down...she's your sensei.

Ah! She fell asleep! What the heck?! I hopped off the makeshift seat that was the side of the bridge and made my way to Asoka-sensei. She's fast asleep! On our job!

"Asoka-sensei...wake up....we're on a mission...you can't sleep on a mission." I lectured, reaching down to touch her shoulders. She shot up before I could touch her. Our heads struck, creating a small bonk. I fell back, clutching my head.

Ow...THAT...shhh. Calm down...happy thoughts....Sasuke thoughts....ahhhhh....(//3//)

"Sakura, what are you doing, aren't you supposed to be guarding Tazuna?" Asoka-sensei asked me.

"Yeah, but you have to be here to protect him, too." I said with a sweat drop.

"Naw, I'm just going to sleep." Asoka-sensei replied, lying back down and curling into a ball.

Chandaru! She's such a lazy ass! How is SHE our teacher?! Kakashi-sensei does more than her! Why won't she help? I'm doing this all on my own. She didn't even do anything when we fought against Zabuza! She just blocked his sword and stood there. I was scared, and I stood my ground, while she-she FAINTED!

After an hour of helping out Tazuna, I looked back to where Asoka-sensei was, and she was still sleeping!

"Asoka-sensei! Come help out." I called to her. She didn't move, she stayed asleep.

"Your sensei is a lazy ass baby who can't do anything..." Tazuna mumbled. Asoka-sensei shot up and glared daggers at Tazuna, but stayed where she was sitting.

"Come on Asoka-sensei!" I yelled to her.

"I can't swim..." She yelled back. I looked at her, confused. I thought she was kidding last time. Tazuna looked at her funny too.

"I promise it won't break under your feet." He said, turning back to his workers. I looked back to Asoka, who, gingerly and hesitantly, moved towards the start of the bridge. She stopped at the start of it and stared at it. She took a step and closed her eyes. Then she peeked through one. She let out a relived breath she was holding in and walked over to me.

"If I drown, I'm haunting you."
