Kakashi's POV

-Thump-

"Asoka-sensei!" Sakura's voice rang out. My water clone dispersed, showing me the scene. Asoka collapsed, and a rose bush turned into a person, and is protecting her... Asoka Collapsed? Forget about moving plants! Asoka Collapse!? Why? She fought so well yesterday...

"Aww, look at that, the girly girl is sleeping. And your student is shaking too. He must be petrified..." Zabuza taunted, shaking me from my thoughts. I looked to Naruto and Sasuke. Sasuke was...shaking. He must feel the overwhelming blood lust in the atmosphere.

"Don't worry, Sasuke, I won't let my comrades die, ever. I promise." I reassured them, keeping my focus on Zabuza.

Said swordsman smirked arrogantly and jumped up, using his body to weigh down my sword, making it an arduous task to move. I pushed him back and pulled the headband up and away from my eye. Cautiously, I opening my Sharingan eye.

"Ahhh, Kakashi of the Sharingan, I'm glad I get to face off with a stronger opponent than that pathetic girl." Said a smirking Zabuza.

"Asoka-sensei! Don't touch her!" Sakura yelled.

"Shut up, stupid girl! Leave Hime alone!" I heard Mussō-ka yell back.

"Sakura! Leave Asoka to her friend." I ordered, my eyes still focused on Zabuza.

"I'm fine, Kaka-baka." Asoka reassured me, waking up after some coughs.

"Asoka-sensei!" Sakura screeched, hurting my ears.

"Shut up, Sakura; you're too loud. I'm fine, it's just that too much information gives me a headache." Asoka told her.

"Ah, I see the girl is up." Zabuza said, a smirk still on his face. I heard a clang from Asoka's location.

"Sensei!" Naruto yelled.

"Shut up. You're too loud. Plant Release: Bara no Chi." I heard her sigh in relief. "Now I can see again, that's better. Hey, Kakashi, nice Sharingan. Zabumoomoo, I always liked your character. But, if you don't leave, you'll be hurt." She said, her voice dripping with... happiness?

"You can see, in this mist? How many fingers am I holding up?" Zabuza asked, holding up his hand, but clenching it in his fist.

"That isn't a good way to test my sight, Zabu-baka. I'm quite disappointed, you are quite childish. I really do think we would have been great friends." She said. Suddenly she appeared next to me, holding her katana. Her eyes were determined and...ecstatic? She smirked.

"Well, fighting Kakashi of the Sharingan and killing him would raise my fame, but who are you...Asoka? What is your last name?" He asked. She shrugged, her mouth forming a scarier smirk.

"It won't matter, but if you MUST know, its Bara." She replied. I saw grass form around Zabuza's ankles, silently and slowly. I looked at Asoka; had she unlocked her Kekkei Genkai?

"Well, a Bara. I thought they were all dead, unless-"

"Plant Release: Vine Strangle!" Asoka yelled cutting him off, pointing her sword towards him. Vines from the trees shot towards Zabuza who tried to jump back from the attack, but the vines wrapped around his feet so he couldn't move. The vines then stuck his water clone.

"Ah, so she's the Princess of Roses, how beautiful." Zabuza's voice echoed around. Asoka turned to her right and smirked.

"I hate water, stop standing there, Moomoo." She told him. Her sword shot to where she was looking. I glanced there and saw a faint outline jumping as more outlines that looked like vines went after the figure

"What. The. Hell. Stop. It. Bitc-" Zabuza growled, his voice echoing again, but stopping every time the vines moved towards the jumping figure. Asoka growled and swung her sword toward the figure, downwards. The grass around us shot towards it.

"Don't you dare call me a bitch, you cow!" Asoka yelled, rage clear in her eyes and an evil, angry aura seemed to surround her, but it was probably just my imagination.

It was shocking.

Asoka was showing emotions: rage, happiness and others all throughout the fight, and yet before she was totally far off, seeming to be in her own world.

"Water Release: Water Dragon!" Zabuza yelled. A large figure erupted from the water and attacked the grass. Asoka cursed as she stabbed the ground with her sword, thrusting it down.

"Earth Release: Golem of Earth!" She yelled, snapping my attention to hand signs. My Sharingan could barely see how fast she did the signs. She didn't even look down.

How did she know that high level jutsu?! Just the other day she didn't even know how to use chakra! Not even hand signs! She's going to get a big lecture later...if we live.

The ground in front of her shook and seemed to rise up as a colossal figure, which looked like a big man, but twice the size. He was, however, made of earth. The mist was slowly going away, making it easier for me to see. Asoka didn't seem effected by it. I looked around to see Sakura, Naruto and Sasuke guarding Tazuna. Each held a kunai. Tazuna was pale, watching with frightened eyes. The golem ran at Zabuza, then was sliced in half by his oversized sword.

"Ah, the mist is gone! We can see now!" Naruto yelled with a grin.

Asoka's eyes widened slightly and she put her hands in front of her.

"Kai!" She yelled. A number of things hit the floor at the exact same time, creating a "Thump". I looked around to see rose petals everywhere, scattered on grass, some even in the water which Zabuza stood on. Adrenaline pumped through me and I was on high alert. I looked back to Asoka who rubbed her eyes with a yawn. SHE YAWNED?! This girl never ceases to amaze me...

"Heh, Asoka, you are a good opponent. However, I believe it's unfair that you stand there controlling the grass." Zabuza said, running towards her. He held his sword in his hands, ready to swing it and cut her. She ducked and as I jumped over it, I kicked him in the face, effectively pushing him back. He skidded back and threw his sword back, behind him. He began to do hand signs which I copied as I looked at his lip movements.

"Water Release: Water Dragon!" We both shouted simultaneously. Asoka stepped to the side as if expecting something. My eyes widened as his dragon slightly overpowered mine, spilling water where she had once stood. I forced his dragon down and the water seemed to overflow, pushing Zabuza back. He smashed into a tree and I jumped over the tree throwing kunai into his arms and legs, pinning him to it. He grunted, but stayed still.

Asoka walked towards him slowly, as if for creating a dramatic effect. "I can see the future, and this is your last battle." She said with a smirk. Suddenly, needles whizzed through the air and struck Zabuza in the neck. A tracker jumped from the trees. The mask he or she was wearing was one from the Hidden Mist Village.

"You were right, this was is last battle." The voice said, sounding like a young boy.

"Hey! Who are you?!" Naruto yelled. Just as I was going to tell him something, Asoka cut me off.

"He's not an enemy, Naruto, leave the poor guy alone; even people younger than you could be stronger." She berated, picking up Zabuza's sword off the ground.

The boy Hunter Nin took Zabuza's body. After exchanging some words, he left. I could feel the adrenaline leave my body as the aftereffects of the Sharingan took over. I collapsed face first and fell into darkness.

-Asoka's POV-

"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto and Sakura yelled, running over to him.

"Is-is he dead?" Tazuna asked, afraid of the worst.

"Naw, he'll live. He's just tired. He's quite out of shape. And I'm tired, too, let's just get to your house." I said with a yawn while stretching my back. Another crack was heard and everyone flinched again while I sighed in relief. The crick is gone. I put away Haru-kun and got my backpack. Taking out a bottle of water, I air sipped it and handed it to everyone else, who followed me with the air sipping.

"Let's go; lead the way Tazuna." I ordered, throwing Kakashi over my shoulder with slight difficulty. I'm glad that nobody is treating me any different because of my last name. Well, hopefully they haven't heard that last name. But boy, when Kaka-baka wakes up, I'm in for a big lecture.

I let out a big sigh as I continued walking, a depressed aura around me.

-FF-

"And here's my home." Tazuna said opening the door. I walked in, took off my shoes, walked into what looked like the living room, and dropped Kaka-baka on the floor, then collapsed on the couch, not wanting to move again.

"A-Asoka-sensei?" Sakura asked, shocked.

"Mmmmmm?" I whined, my face in the cushion.

"Wh-what are you doing?" She asked.

"Just shut up, I don't feel good." I said, but it probably sounded like this: "Fluff Shff uff I dofft feelf gufdf." And I'm not kidding. I feel worse than before. My head hurts, I'm hungry because I didn't have any food all day, I'm tea-deprived, and I lost a lot of blood, with addition to my fever.

I turned around on the couch and looked at the blank ceiling. I gingerly placed a hand on my forehead. My fever went up. I opened my backpack and Mussō-ka jumped out and got to work; words weren't needed, he knows, he does. I don't know how long I stared at the ceiling, but I might have closed my eyes and fell asleep at some point, because when I opened my eyes I could hear crickets, signaling it was night time. Slowly, I sat up and looked around. Kakashi wasn't to be found on the floor where I left him, or my bag, but Mussō-ka was in my arms, which means my tea is somewhere. I got up from the couch and went into what I believe was the kitchen. Just as I predicted, tea was there, ready for me. I drank it all, savoring the fruity, fresh taste. It was a mix of strawberry, mango, honey, lemon and mint. It tingled my taste buds, filling me with warmth; I closed my eyes and sat down in a seat, putting the tea on the table. I rested my head in my hands, and promptly fell asleep.

"Ah!" A young woman screamed. I snapped my eyes open and sat up.

"My cookies!" I yelled, knocking something over with my hand. I looked to see it was the empty cup that I had used before for tea.

"Oh, sorry." I looked around and saw that Tazuna's daughter - what was her name? Ah, whatever - was in the kitchen.

"A-are you feeling better? We saw you practically pass out, so we decided not to bother you. Oh, I'm sorry, but we only have a few rooms, so you'll have to share with the jonin; Sasuke and Naruto are sharing a room, while Sakura and I are sharing one together." She said with a small, apologetic smile. I stared at her blankly, which made her squirm uncomfortably. Ah. I finally processes everything she said.

"Oh, sorry, no, it's fine. Sorry for staring, I tend to do that a lot in the morning. Hehe." I said with a small giggle, breaking the awkward silence.

"Oh, its fine. I'm Tsunami. You're protecting my father, thank you." She introduced herself, laughing.

"I'm Asoka. Don't worry about it - it's what we do - but I'd do this even if it wasn't for the money." I said with a smile. I looked at the cup that was lying on it's side, still on the table where I currently sat.

"What were you doing before?" She asked me.

"Having tea, but I guess I fell asleep; remembering things sure takes it out of you." I informed her with a smile.

"Remembering?"

"Yeah, during a fight, I remembered all these things I learned in my dreams since I was a kid. It's pretty neat!" I explained with a grin.

"Like what?" She inquired.

"Like growing trees from seeds in minutes." I told her, remembering when Mussō-ka gave me a seed and forced me to make it into a tree with my willpower. I played with my fingers as I grew happier, knowing everything that I learned in my dreams with Mussō-ka saved me tons of time.

"Kakashi-sensei!" I heard Naruto yell. I sighed and walked down the hall where I heard his voice.

I opened the sliding door to see Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura around the now awake Kakashi.

"Hey, mornin'." I greeted, waving my hand. Everyone looked at me and said good morning, except for Kakashi. The wind suddenly got colder.

I sighed and looked out the window where Kakashi and Sasuke looked intently. I, however, looked at it with uninterested eyes. I walked over to Kakashi, took his pillow and blankets, pushed him off the bed, and got in. Closing my eyes, I fell asleep immediately and this time, it was refreshing.

Third Person POV

Kakashi's foot was in the air as he shot up and sighed at Asoka.

"Asoka..." He said, getting up, poking her. He went to the other side of the bed to see her eyes were closed in a laid back manner, her lips formed a soft smile and her breathing was relaxed.

"Kakashi-sensei...is she asleep?" Sakura whispered.

"Yeah, I think she is..." Kakashi replied with a slightly bewildered expression, but only because his face was still masked, and his eye also covered. Underneath that mask, however, he wore a soft smile, with the thought of how cute Asoka looked sleeping. He soon realized that because he was unconscious, someone must have carried him.

"Who carried me here?" Kakashi asked.

"Asoka-sensei did; we asked if she needed help but she carried you without a word. She's really strong." Sakura said. Sasuke "Hn,"ed with a small nod, agreeing. Naruto shook his head in a strong nod.

Kakashi's eye became wider, but quickly narrowed as his Sharingan eye almost opened due to his shock.

"She must be exhausted." Kakashi mumbled.

"YEAH SHE-" Sakura hit Naruto over the head. "Ah...sorry, she dropped you on the floor and fell asleep on the couch right when we got here." Naruto whispered.

"Oh, good to see you're awake." Tsunami said, peering in through the doorway. "Oh dear, she's asleep, isn't she?" Tsunami gazed at Asoka's sleeping figure.

"Yeah." Kakashi told her.

"Well, breakfast will be ready soon. Asoka must be tired; she fell asleep on the dinner table." Tsunami said with a slight chuckle.

"Eh? The dinner table? How?" Naruto inquired.

"She said she was having tea and must have fallen asleep..." Tsunami explained, looking at Asoka and back to team 7.

"Come down when you're ready. Oh, and Kakashi, you'll have to share with Asoka." Tsunami left the room with a smile, shutting the door behind her.

Kakashi went into his bag and took out a change of clothes, then looked at his students, as if asking them to leave. They left quickly, opening and closing the door behind them. Kakashi quickly changed. He took a pillow and threw it at Asoka as payback for:

1) Tossing him on the floor.

2) Throwing him out of the bed.

3) And just because her expression would be interesting.

Feathers flew around as a kunai stabbed, pinning it to the wall. Asoka was up now, fully alert. Kakashi fell back as the Kunai-ed pillow flew above his head. He slipped over himself and landed on the floor face first with a 'Dur' expression.

"The hell?" Asoka asked, looking around. "Flying pillows...I knew it was possible." She mumbled with her hand on her chin in a thoughtful expression. Her words didn't hold any sarcasm at all. Kakashi chuckled. Asoka turned her attention to the source. Pushing herself up on her knees and peering over the edge of the bed, she saw Kakashi, who turned himself over to look up at her. Her hands were on the edge of the bed, on top of the sheets that hung over to the floor.

Kakashi had an idea. He grabbed the sheets and pulled, causing Asoka to lose her balance and fall on top of Kakashi with an "Oof,", just like he had predicted. But what he hadn't predicted was the position they ended up being in.

Asoka looked at him with bored eyes, not bothered in the slightest by their closeness, their mouths had touched before, but Asoka didn't look bothered or embarrassed at all, even if it was her first kiss. Her hands were next to Kakashi's neck, pushing her up and keeping her weight off from him. Kakashi's face was a bright scarlet, thankfully hidden from sight, his hands wrapped around Asoka's waist.

"Can you let go now? I want to go to sleep." Asoka asked, not feeling the awkward atmosphere.

"Hmmm..." Kakashi seemed to think about it, then closed his visible eye in a smile. "No." Asoka sighed, then let go of the arms that kept her off Kakshi, letting her full weight go onto him. She didn't weigh much so Kakashi didn't feel an ounce uncomfortable. Asoka's head went onto Kakashi's shoulder weakly.

"I'll sleep on you." Came her muffled voice. It was silent as she waited for a reply that didn't come.

So, Asoka closed her eyes and soon fell asleep again. Kakashi felt slightly more weight as Asoka's head lay on his shoulder. Her ponytail was in his face. He brushed it down and away, then went to her forehead, which was warm. Kakashi went to feel her hands which were now on his shirt in a soft grip, made involuntarily. They were cold, opposite to her forehead.

Kakashi was shocked. She had a fever, fought, carried him back and played like she was fine. No wonder that Asoka was out cold. He slowly sat up, being wary of his injuries, and softly pushed Asoka to the side, next to him on the floor. He stood up carefully and picked her up, noting again her light weight, before putting her on the bed, underneath the covers, and then left downstairs for breakfast.
