It was my first day into the job and Alexis had tried to contact me as I ignored. He probably thought I was going to get over the grudge but what he didn't know was that I was having a meeting with him today.

"Morning Lian," The receptionist guy who was called Tom called from behind the desk.

"Morning," I reply.

I walk towards the lift. Walking towards Alexis office, I knocked on the door.

Time for the meeting.

When I herd a voice from the inside telling me to come in. Pushing the handle on the door I open it slowly. I'm actually kinda nervous. 

"Come in, you must be here for the meeting," Alexis says in all his glory looking at some documents. He doesn't even see me as his attention is fully absorbed in the document. I walk towards the desk saying a quite 'yes'.

"Sit down," He says and takes a quick glance before looking back down. I don't sit. Shock, is what I see. He looks up at me immediantly not beliving his eyes.

A look of anger and disbelief. And also there is a glint of vulnerability that only I can see. For a second I feel guilty but I wipe the guilt away.

He brawls his fist on the desk, not looking away from me.

"What joke are you playing?" He asks rhetorically. "Li? Where is Lian-?" 

Realisation strikes as he looks at me accusingly. He seems disappointed.

"I forgot the a," I shrug.

Alexis closes his eye's in frustration just like the time in the lift and rubs his forehead. Getting up from the chair he asks, "What do you want?"

"The truth,"

"And is that why you joined the company!" He shouted. My silence gave my answer.

"Why?"

Thinking to myself, I said my hearts words. "I'm desperate alright? I wanna know the guy who saved me is NOT bad!"

"I WANT TO KNOW THAT YOUR NOT BAD!" I cry.

"I want to know if I'm loving the right person," I whisper.

Alexis stands there silently, his hands in his pockets and his eye baring into mines. Eyes make you feel vulnerable, exposing you naked eye makes you naked of you emotions and one thing Alexis is good at is reading emotions through the eyes.

"When you asked my permission to take care of me, the only reason I rejected you was because I thought I was the bad person. I thought that those days, that hatred was my own doing. My own fault! Like I deserved all of that,"

"I wanted you too see that but instead you made me see in a different light. You made me see that I wasn't at fault. I was misinterpreted. I regretted  saying no,"

"but I don't want another Zackary, I just wanted the Alexis I knew,"

Alexis walked over to me and put his hands on my shoulder.

With a small smile he said, "I'm not that bad, I'm like you misinterpreted,"

His voice was so soft, I melted and I couldn't resist from grabbing Alexis in a tight griping hug. As I snuggled into his chest and rested my hand above his heart where I could feeling it beating. Alexis sighed in relief and put his hands around me.

"It's nice for you to be back where you belong," He whispered against my ear, "In my arms,"
