Aiden woke up again... it was the 4th time that he woke up in his sleep all over again..
This has been going on for 3 days straight now. Whatever Martha did, it broke him. He was sad. Not because of what happened, but because he broke his once made vow of not keeping high expectations...

3 days ago:

"So. Lets continue where we left yesterday " Aiden blushed.

"Yaa.. about that... okay.. so yes...."she broke down "Oh. God I can't.. sorry.. its just a big deal. Well it might not be for you. But for me it is.. so.... Aiden . I need some time please.." Martha had tears in her eyes..
"Its okay. I know how it feels when its a big thing for yourself. But sometimes its important to get that out . Especially when you are willing to tell about it. "Aiden said.

"Okay.. okay... so Aiden . This may come as a shock to you. But over the last few days.. I have had feelings for....... Julian" Martha spoke her heart out..

Aiden stood dumbstruck.. His face expressionless. His eyes staring at Martha in disbelief.
"Aiden?" Martha asked.
"Huh.. yeah.. okay.. good. Uh you know.. I think I .. I have some work... so.. okay... cheers" Aiden was about to leave.

"What it is Aiden?. You never reacted like this! " Martha said..

"No.. its just that. I never expected to hear such kind of a news from you and... that's exactly why I am going now. Cause. I have to think exactly what the hell you just said " He had an awkward smile on his face.
"You and Julian are best friends right?" She asked.
"Were!" He corrected.
"So what actually happened?" She asked.
"That's none of your priority" he said.
"And I do believe that I must go now.. cheers" Aiden walked out of the room.

And it was not at all a good thing that he ran into Julian..

"Oh you!" Aiden's voice became heavy.
"And you too" Julian was serious as usual.
"So Martha huh.. good choice. Especially doing the same thing over again!" Tears filled up Aiden's eyes.

"She.. she told you.... oh dear God.... Aiden. See I think we need to talk about that." Julian's face changed colours now.

"Uh. Exactly. I need to talk.. so what should I say.. huh.. yeah.. keep her happy and safe.. okay. Bye" Aiden stalked out.
"Aiden!!." Julian tried to stop him but to no avail. Aiden was still fast as compared to him.

2 days had passed Aiden didn't go to college. Completely cut himself out of his mates. Didn't answer doorbells at all and asked his parents to lie about his presence..
They were worried. Moreover when Aiden mentioned about Julian, they were more worried. The last time it took him 5 months to recover. And God knew how much it would take this time.

Thursday morning:.

"I do think its time you go back." Aiden's dad told him.
"You know me. I can't "he snapped.
"Okay. If you dont want to go then dont. But trust me son. You have been through this before. You emerged out strong. Just get out of it this time too. You will be more fine than ever" he said.

"What should I do?" He asked.
"Lets just say what you did last time. Lets improve it a bit. This time you dont speak your heart out to me. But rather. Speak it out to yourself. Try it. I did it once and it was the best thing I ever did.. trust me" He said.

"Okay.. maybe I will."Aiden said and left the house for the first time in 3 days.
And off he went to that place which he barely visited ever.-The park.

A silent place in the middle of the day. The bench was cold. And it was the best ever feeling. It had worked the last time and he hoped it would work this time too.

"So. What is the bigg a deal?" He started speaking to himself.
"She has the right to be happy and you cannot be the one to stop that. And it was never her fault that you couldn't tell her. Julian he was wrong the last time . No doubt . But this time
......."... his thoughts were broken by a voice.
"Hey" it was Julian.
Aiden looked at him... And said nothing.

"Okay. I understand that I might have given you yet another reason to hate me. But Aiden,  this time. You must hear me" Julian said firmly.

"Hmm. Okay. Go on. I am all ears" Aiden said.

"Look. It was never my fault that I fell in love with Martha. I knew that you had feelings for her. And moreover..... all those times when you were not around, and others took the opportunity to annoy her, I safeguarded her. But I dont know when in the middle of this I gre feelings for her. And then one fine day she comes to me and tells me that she loves me. It took me 3 days to answer her. I saw the thing from every perspective.  And then I studied you. You showed no signs of possessing feelings for her. And then when I say yes, you drop in the middle and put up the fact that you love her!!!. Where the hell is my fault here??..
But see..   if it bothers you that much,.. I will go to her and tell her that I cannot see her and maybe you are the best suitor for her." Julian said what he had to say.....

"What.. !! No.. Donot do that. It took you so long to finally get yourself someone. And now you are going to give up!!" He spoke like the old Aiden.

"So......?

"Look hey. It was just a crush on her and ......  it really doesnt matter anymore. You have her now... so... just keep her happy and safe.. "

"You sure?"
"Yeah. I will be fine. Just some distractions and I will be fine again." Aiden said.

6 years later:

Aiden had now got a job at the special forces and had his adventurous dream life. Julian and Martha are engaged and to be married in a year. Julian is a psychologist and Martha started her own NGO. ..   Aiden and Martha were now the best pair of friends but little did anyone know  that.......   Aiden still loved her.......!!!!......
