You searched the room nervously, looking for anything to talk about besides this conversation. You should have known that Zim would ask this question eventually. Why else would you agree to work with an alien that's bent on destroying the planet?

You looked over to Gir for help, but he was too busy munching away at the plate of tacos you had prepared for him. Despite the grossness of the sounds, you would rather focus on that than Zim. When you locked eyes with the Irken again, he didn't press on. He clearly figured that he had you trapped.

"Okay, fine Zim. I'll tell you." You swallowed nervously. Zim leaned in eagerly, a knowing smile plastered on his face.

You sighed. "Dib and I are..." you paused, trying to think of what to say. "We're cousins!"

"Cousins?" Zim echoed.

"What?" A voice sounded from the other room. "No we're not!"

Zim pointed dramatically to the living room and order his computer to lock all the exits in the base. He questioned in the direction of the voice. You knew who it was already. Zim probably knew too, but he just liked hearing himself speak.

Dib turned off his cloaking device and face palmed. "Why do I insist on talking out loud to myself? This is why dad thinks I'm crazy."

"Uh, Dib," you began, relieved that he had broken in, "you're still doing it. Why are you here anyway?"

Almost as if neither one of the two boys heard you speaking, Zim and Dib glared at each other for a prolonged amount of time. If the exits weren't sealed, you would have used this as an opportunity to sneak out. Gir tugged on your shirt and handed you a taco. You took it from his hand and sat on the counter. This was going to take a while.

"An intruder? In MY base? How did you manage to get past security?" Zim interrogated the raven haired boy.

Dib's body relaxed. He said in a matter-of-fact tone: "Oh, that was easy. I just snuck in behind y/n and your robot minion. I followed them here to make sure you weren't trying to do any tests on him/her/them."

Zim closed his eyes in amusement. "Silly human. Why would I experiment on someone who may be of value to me? I shall at least wait until I know more about him/her/them."

You snapped your head at Zim. "Excuse me, I'm right here. You're not going to experiment on me. Like never."

Dib sent you a glance, but quickly returned it back to Zim. "Just because we aren't falling for your tricks doesn't make us.. not human. We're just not one of the dumb ones that plague this Earth!"

You sent him a look that said "Exactly!" Zim was not convinced. "And you think there's not a reason for that? Every other pig filth in this town is oblivious. The only ones that can see anything that's going on are you, y/n, and your little sister!"

You drowned out the next part of the conversation. You hadn't taken Gaz into consideration. It's not often that it happens twice in one family, but it's definitely possible that Gaz is just like her older brother. It all made sense to you now. They, too, were both

"Demigods!" You gasp out loud.

Zim and Dib looked at you as though you grew a second head. Dib spoke first. "I'm sorry. What now?"

You cursed mentally. Great job y/n. Way to blow your cover. You sighed and jumped down from the counter, walking to stand next to Zim.

"I'm a demigod. That's why I'm so different, Zim. I'm half human and half Greek god." You confessed.

Dib laughed at you. "Do you really expect us to believe that? The Greek gods are a myth! They don't exist. Demigods don't exist. You're an alien! That's why my device picked up on you the other day."

You face palmed. "The Greek myths are true. You picked up on me because I must have a different frequency than everyone else. Did you try scanning yourself? What about Gaz?"

Zim looked back and forth between the two of you. He had expected you to say that you were from Florida or something. According to his research, everyone from Florida was weird. Everything happens in Florida. The Greek myths was one of the few lessons Ms Bitters actually taught this school year. When she said it was real, nobody believed her.

"Why would I scan myself? I'm human! Halfbloods aren't an actual thing! Next you're going to say that Ms Bitters is a monster... well actually that wouldn't surprise me." Dib commented.

You let out a groan of frustration. "Why is it so hard to believe?! You're the one who loves everything paranormal. Aliens exist." You motion towards Zim. "Mortos der Soulstealer exists! That giant lice queen thing existed! Why is it so hard to believe that the Greek gods do too?"

"Because that isn't real science." Dib crosses his arms. "Man, I'm starting to sound like my dad!"

"Dib, have you ever met your mother? Do you have any memories of her?" You ask you prove your point.

He thought for a moment. "I remember one day seeing her with Gaz as a baby. I was too young to remember much."

"Or your mother fell for your father twice and had two kids with him. She's a Greek goddess so she couldn't keep you guys or really be in your life!" You explain.

Dib tolled his eyes. "If you're a demigod, then prove it. Show us your magic ability, Hercules."

You frowned in annoyance. How could you show them the truth? Zim looked at you expectantly. Dib waited impatiently. And Gir, well he was being Gir.

I'm going to write a few different versions of this next part so you can choose your godly parent. Lmk if you want me to add a different god(dess). If you don't like Greek mythology, don't worry, it won't play a huge role in the story.

Child of Poseidon

You closed your eyes and focused closely on the water sources around you. You raised your hands slightly and commanded the water to flow towards you. The air in the room cooled as one of the pipes to Zim's sink burst. The water surrounded you. You willed it to travel around the room, carefully avoiding Zim so he wouldn't get hurt. You opened your eyes and locked them with Dib's. His jaw dropped in awe, finally believing you.

Aphrodite
You frowned at the two boys. You tried to not use your charmspeak unless it was an emergency. You just hoped it was enough to convince Dib.

You smiled sweetly at Dib. "Dib, you should slap yourself in your face."

He scoffed. "If you think-" Suddenly, he found himself in a trance and willing to do whatever you told him to. He slapped himself repeatedly until you told him to stop.

You looked at Zim. "I wonder if it works on aliens too." You grinned again. "Give Gir a hug."

Zim tried to claim it was a waste of time and that Irkens couldn't be easily manipulated. He was wrong. Gir screamed at excitedly as he hugged his master.

Zeus
You didn't want to risk completely wrecking Zim's house. You motioned for them to follow you out of the house and outside once Zim's computer granted you access.

Willing the wind and sky, you created a storm across the town. Zim jumped back into the safety of his home as the rain began pouring. Lightning zapped through the air and a crisp wind ran through all of your clothes.

Hephaestus

You stepped away from Him and edged closer to the middle of the room. You originally had planned on showing them your tinkering and crafting skills, but decided that it might not be enough to convince Dib. Only you and one other sibling from Hephaestus had the ability to wield fire.

What started off as a small spark in your palm had turned into a flame that engulfed your hand. Gir hovered a marshmallow over it with the long fork. You looked at him weirdly, not understanding how he had done so that quickly.

Demeter

You motioned for everyone to follow you outside. Instead of some grand gesture, you figured it would be best to save your energy. You squatted down in Zim's front lawn and commanded a (favorite flower/plant) to grow from the ground. You picked it and handed it to the small robot who had been by your side the whole time. Gir "oohed" a snatched it from your hand eagerly.

~Back to the story~

You crossed your arms and faced the two boys again. "Now do you believe me?"

Dib began to bombard you with questions. Zim, on the other hand, gawked at you in astonishment. The longer he allowed his thoughts to run freely, the more the thought about him possibly having feelings for you repeated in his mind. He already thought you were amazing and stood out from all of the other Earth filthies, but now he really thought so. A blush crept its way to his face once again. You took notice of this and awkwardly scratched the back of your neck.

Gir had said Zim had a crush on you. Did he mean it? Or was that just him being the adorable robot that he is? You felt butteries start to fly around in your stomach. No! There was no way you were falling for an alien! You mentally yelled at Aphrodite for making you feel this way.

Dib caught your attention again after rambling for a while. "Who do you think my godly mom is, y/n?"
