Y/n and Connor step into the central station. Connor approaches the front desk. The android woman sitting there speaks. "Can I help you?"

Connor nods. "We're here to see Lieutenant Anderson." He says.

"Do you have authorization?" The android asks.

Connor replies. "Yes", and he connects to her, showing the authorization.

The android speaks. "Lieutenant Anderson hasn't arrived yet, but you can wait at his desk."

Y/n and Connor walk to his office area and find his desk.
Connor looks over to an officer. "Excuse me, you know at what time Lieutenant Anderson usually arrives?" He asks him.

The officer chuckles. "Depends where he was the night before. If we're lucky, we'll see him before noon." He then turns back to his work.

"Thanks" Connor says.

The two approach Hank's desk. Connor analyzes his desk while Y/n stand next to him. He then turns towards her as he remembered something.

"There should be a new program in our system." He starts. Y/n just blankly stares at him. He blink a couple times before continuing. "One that allows us to priority check each other, for security reasons." He says. Y/n, again, stares at him, blankly.

Connor frown slightly. "Although my speech is prioritized, I'd really appreciate being able to have a two way conversation. Please do not stop yourself from voicing your opinion, as two opinions are certainly better than one in our case." He says, adding a smile at the end.

"Alright, Connor." Y/n replies shortly.

Connor's shoulders slump slightly. Perhaps he should ask Amanda to remove the priority speech...

Two voices echo in the distance. Lieutenant Anderson walks in and through the glass doors to Captain Fowlers office. Connor walks towards them and Y/n follows behind.

All three enter Fowlers office, Hank sits down in the chair.

Fowler speaks. "I've got ten new cases involving androids in my desk every day." Hank nods.
Fowler continues. "We've always had isolated incidents, old ladies losing their android maids and that kind of crap. But now... we're getting reports of assault and even homicides, like that guy last night..." he says.

Connor and Y/n listen closely as he speaks.

"This isn't just CyberLife's problem anymore. It's now a criminal investigation and we've got to deal with it before shit hits the fan." Fowler says, then he looks directly at Hank.

"I want you to investigate these cases and see if there's any link." He instructs.

Hanks face drops. "Why me? Why do I gotta be the one to deal with this shit?" He asks, pissed off.

Y/n and Connor glance at each other before looking back at the two humans that were now arguing.

Hank says, "I am the least qualified cop in the country to handle this case!" He continues, "I know Jack shit about androids, Jeffrey! I can barely change the settings on my own phone..." he says, pointing behind himself at the two androids observing the situation.

Fowler raises his voice at this. "Everybody's overloaded. I think you're perfectly qualified for this type of investigation." Hank then raises his voice as well. "Bullshit! The truth is nobody wants to investigate these fuckin' androids and you left me holdin' the bag!"

Hank stands up and takes a few steps around the room. Fowler then speaks again. "CyberLife sent over these androids to help with the investigation. It's a state-of-the-art prototype and that ones a whole extra android that comes along with it. It's a two in one package!" He says.

Y/n and Connor smile, having heard that one before.

Fowler speaks again. "Thing is, it'll basically act as your partner."

Hank snaps and turns towards Fowler. "No fuckin' way! I don't need a partner, and certainly not this plastic prick and his plastic girlfriend!"

Fowler groans and raises his voice again. "Hank, you are seriously starting to piss me off! You are a police lieutenant, you are supposed to do what I say and shut your goddamn mouth!" He shouts.

Hank sighs and takes a few steps around the room. "You know what my goddamn mouth has to say to you, huh?" He says, leaning over Fowlers desk.

Y/n and Connor look back and forth between the two.

Fowler leans back in his chair. "Ok. Ok, I'll pretend like I didn't hear that so that I don't have to add any more pages to your disciplinary folder cause it already looks like a fuckin' novel! This conversation is over!" He shouts.

Hank leans over Fowlers desk, sighing. "Jeffrey, Jesus Christ! Why are you doin' this to me you know how much I hate these fuckin' things. Why you doin' this to me?"

Fowler speaks after gathering himself. "Listen, I've had just about enough of your bitching. Either you do your job or you hand in your badge. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got work to do." He says and goes back to the work on his terminal.

Hank stands up and groan in annoyance as he leaves the room, slamming the door behind himself.

Connor and Y/n stand in the room. As Y/n turned to leave, Connor spoke. "We're very pleased to have joined the team. I can assure you we'll do our very best-" he's cut off by Fowler.

"Close the door on your way out." He says and takes a sip of his coffee.

Connor then says, "Have a nice day, Captain." He turns and walks to the door, opening for Y/n. She steps outside and he walks after her, closing the door behind them.

The two walk down the small steps and towards Hank's desk, where he sits. Y/n decides to sit down at the desk in front of him and access the terminal, to get to work. However, Connor tries to strike a conversation with Hank.

"It's an honor to be working with you, lieutenant. I'm sure the three of us will make a great team." He says with a smile.

Y/n raises her eyes from the terminal and towards the two, seemingly interested in the possible conversation.

Hank ignored him.

Connor speaks to him again. "In any case. I'd like you to know I'm very happy to be working with you. I'm sure the three of us will make a great team." He says, repeating his words.

Y/n tilts her head at Connor. Did he not notice his repeated line? She lowers her eyes again to scan the case files.

Hank ignored him again.

Connor got the hint and turned to where Y/n sat. "Would it be alright if we used this desk?" He asked. Y/n didn't pay any mind, she was already using it after all.

Hank shook his head. "It's all yours." He said plainly.

Y/n sat in the chair. Connor grabbed a random one and sat down next to her. For a moment, Y/n thought he was actually going to start working. But then he tried to talk to the lieutenant again.

"You have a dog? Right?" Connor asked.

Hank looked over at him with a suspicious look. "How do you know that?" He asked.

Connor smiled. "The dog hairs on your chair." He replied. He kept his smile. "I like dogs. What's your dog's name?" He asks.

Hank raises his eyebrow. "What's it to you?". Hank then looks towards Y/n. "And you? You like dogs too?" He asks. Y/n gives him a blank look before opening her mouth, but then closing it. She wasn't programmed for small talk like Connor was.

Connor then speaks. "Answer him. Please answer him. Please just say something." He says, almost sounding defeated.

After a few seconds she gives Hank a nod. "I like dogs." She says before turning right back to the terminal.

Then after a few seconds again, Hank speaks. "Sumo. My dogs name is Sumo." He lowers his head again to the terminal on his desk.

Connor waits a few seconds before answering again, wanting to be friendly with the lieutenant. "You're a Detroit Gears fan, right? Denton Carter scored 53% of his shots from the three-point line yesterday. Did you see the game?" He asks Hank.

Y/n just looks back and forth between the two, wondering when Connor was going to start working.

Hank gives him a look. "That's what I was watching at the bar last night."

Connor jaw drops slightly as he looks a little stunned. "Oh..."

Y/n has a small smile growing on her face, seemingly entertained.

Connor decides to try one more time to have a conversation. "Do you listen to Knights of the Black Death?"

Now, Y/n's glaring at Connor slightly. She hoped that when Connor's advances were rejected, he might start working. But he didn't, he was just too persistent.

Though Connor didn't notice her glare. "I really like that music. It's... full of energy..." he says.

Hank raises his eyebrow at Connor. "You listen to heavy metal?" He asks.

Connor shrugs. "Well, I don't really listen to music, as such... but I'd like to." He says.
Hank shakes his head, slightly confused but he didn't seem pissed off.

Y/n spoke before Connor could talk anymore, "Connor, I must advise you to start your work and settle your priorities. We have a lot of cases on our hand and there will be no time for small talk." She says.

Hank raised his gaze towards her. She held a blank stare as she looked at Connor with no emotion on her face. Hank let out a small, breathy laugh.

Connor looked at her, with an innocent smile and nodded. "Very well. You're correct, pardon me for my enthusiasm in our partnership, Lieutenant." He says. Hank ignored him.

Y/n rolls her chair slightly out of the way so the two androids could watch the terminal together.

Connor scans through them as I did earlier. "243 files. First dates back nine months. It all started in Detroit. And quickly spread across the country." He says.

He then chooses a recent file. "An AX400 is reported to have assaulted a man last night. That could be a good starting point for our investigation." He says, looking over at Hank, who was ignoring him.

Connor then stands up, Y/n stands up next to him and he walks around the desk with confident strides towards Hank.

Hank sees this. "Uh... Jesus." He sighs.

Connor stands next to him as he speak. "I know you didn't ask for this investigation, Lieutenant, but I'm sure you're a professional."

Y/n stands quietly behind him, sensing Hank's patience running thin, apparently she was the only one.

Hank raises his head and looks at Connor. "Why don't you go fuck yourself? Or better yet, take her with you!"

Connor and Y/n both tilt their head in confusion, not understanding the man's words.

Connor stays quiet for a few seconds to decide the best approach. He chooses to be determined. Connor leans his hands on Hanks desk and tower slightly over him. "I've been assigned this mission, Lieutenant. We didn't come here to wait until you feel like working."

Y/n took at least three steps back as soon as Hank got out of his chair. He grabbed the front of Connor's jacket and pushed him against the wall.
"Listen, asshole. If it was up to me, I'd throw the lot of you in a dumpster and set a match to it. So, stop pissing me off... or things are gonna get nasty."

Y/n stands to the side, wondering if she should step in. Connor raised his hand slightly to her, signaling for her he had it under control.

"Lieutenant." Another cop stepped next to Y/n. Hank let go of Connor. "Uh... sorry to disturb you. I have some information on the AX400 that attacked the guy last night. It's been seen in the raven dale district." The cop says.

Hank stares right at Connor as he answers. "I'm on it."

He then turns and walks away. Connor's LED turned from yellow to blue again. Connor fixes his tie before following after Hank, Y/n follows after him.
