Meanwhile, in the Palacio Rosado, Ursula was enjoying the peace and quiet only to hear loud singing from the distance. "What's that sound?" she asked.
Some guards came up to Ursula. "They're coming, Your Majesty," one said anxiously.
"Who's coming?" Ursula asked.
"All of Miradero," the guard replied.
Ursula could hear the singing from afar. "Is that singing?" she gasped.
It turned out that Samira, Raul, and Milagro had gotten all of Miradero singing and marching to the palace to overthrow Ursula.
This is our time
Our time to face our old foe
Our time
To reclaim what was ours long ago
This is our time
To stand up with honor and pride
Our time
We've come too far to be denied
And so we will march to the palace once more
To win back the freedom we had long before
We spent many years waiting just for this day
And nothing (no, nothing) will stand in our way
This is our time
Together as one, we won't fail
Our time
This time, we know we'll prevail
Our time
To honor our family and friends
Our time
This is our time
This is our time
Once again!
There were two guards blocking the date, and they were overwhelmed with all the folks marching toward the palace.
"I'll take care of them," Samira smirked. She flew her horse down and charged to the guards, who were scared to death.
"They locked the gate," Milagro said.
"I got this," Raul said. He used his magic to open the gate, and everyone got in.
Raul, Milagro, and Samira flew to the other side, got down from their horses, and opened the inside doors.
"Stay together, and stay strong!" Milagro called out.
Ursula came out, furious with what was going on. "What is going on here?" she growled. But then she gasped when she saw Samira, Raul, and especially Milagro. "Prince Milagro?"
"That's right, Ursula," Milagro glared. "I'm back, and the time has come to pay for your crimes!"
"Wait, Raul, Samira, you were in on this?" Ursula gaped.
"That's right," Samira nodded.
"Well, you have everyone ganging up on me, but you can't stop me," Ursula smirked. She reached into her pocket to take out her wand only to find that she doesn't have it.
Milagro reached into his pocket and pulled out the wand. "Looking for this?" he smirked.
"How did you get that?" Ursula gasped.
"That's not important," Milagro declared.
"Well, you may have the wand, but you can't use it on me—it's the source of all my magic," Ursula smirked.
That gave Samira an idea. "You're going to regret saying that," she smirked.
"Why?" Ursula asked.
Samira whispered in Milagro's ear, and he understood what she was saying.
"Let's just see how powerful you really are without it," Milagro smirked. He helped the wand in both hands. He bent the wand and broke it in two pieces much to Ursula's horror.
Ursula's magic flew all around, and with her magic destroyed, she turned into an ugly old woman and dissolved into dust. The colors in the kingdom were more vibrant now. The kingdom was back to normal.
"Wow, she's gone," Samira gaped.
"Yes, she is," Raul declared.
Everyone cheered loudly, happy that Ursula was now gone. Milagro was happy to have his kingdom back. But something didn't feel right.
"By the way, if Milagro was inside the amulet all these years, what happened to the rest of the royal family?" Samira asked her grandfather.
Raul remembered the enchanted painting he put Milagro's family inside. "Oh, I put them inside an enchanted painting right after Milagro got inside the amulet," he realized. "The painting should be in the throne room."
Everyone went inside the palace and into the throne room to find the painting, but there were so many tapestries covering the walls.
"We're going to have to take down all these tapestries," Raul said. He used his magic to take down the tapestries until he found the enchanted painting.
Milagro looked at the painting, and he could tell that his family was very anxious. "Wow, they look so scared," he noted.
"Yes, they were very heartbroken when they thought you were murdered," Raul declared. "But they'll be happy to know you're back." He turned to his granddaughter and asked, "Samira, will you do the honor?"
"Okay, Abuelo," Samira nodded. Raul handed her a wand, and she waved it as she said, "Thlacuilolli apartad, Thlacuilolli apareced, Thlacuilolli vivid!"
There was a bright flash of light, and the royal family was freed from the painting. Everyone cheered, happy that the whole royal family has returned.
"47 years inside an enchanted painting," Lucia sighed.
"Yes, it feels so good to be out," Antonio nodded.
"But nothing is going to be the same without...," Verago sighed. But then he stopped himself when he saw his younger brother. "Milagro?"
"Verago!" Milagro cried. He and Verago hugged tightly, happy to be back together for the first time in years. "Oh, I've missed you so much!"
"I missed you, too!" Verago beamed.
Milagro turned to his parents, who were happy to see him. "Mamá! Papá!" he cried, hugging his parents.
"Milagrito!" Lucia cried.
Milagro hugged his four grandparents, and his uncle, happy to be back with his family.
"Milagro, what happened to you?" Verago asked. "We thought Ursula claimed your life."
"No, she never did," Milagro said. "She tried to, but the amulet pulled me in. I've been waiting all these years to get out. By the way, I'm sure you remember Raul."
The royals turned to Raul and were surprised to see how much he's aged.
"Long time no see," Raul bowed.
"Wow, we really have been inside that painting for a long time," Francisco declared.
"Raul, did you get Milagro out of the amulet?" Antonio asked.
"No, it wasn't me—my granddaughter did that," Raul replied.
Samira stood before the royal family of Miradero. "Your Majesties," she said, curtseying.
"All these years, I needed a special princess to free me, but none of the princesses who wore the amulet wanted to because they thought the prince should be saving the princess, not the other way around," Milagro explained. "But only Samira had the guts to do that."
"Thank you, Samira," Lucia smiled.
"But wait—what happened to Ursula?" Verago asked.
"Don't worry—she's gone now," Milagro said. "We've won!"
The whole royal family gathered together and hugged.
"Let every bell in Miradero ring—we are free!" Milagro announced.
The whole crowd cheered, happy that everything in Miradero is back to normal. The royal family's imprisonments are over, and so was Ursula's reign—but this was a new beginning for the whole kingdom.
