I feel... really.... dizzy..

Thump.

~~~ 5 ~~~
I opened my eyes. Instantly, I was hit by a killer headache and pain in my left side and left leg.
Shit.
Everything was blurry. I tried to clear my vision by rubbing my eyes, which helped a bit.
"../n! Y/n!!" I could hear a familiar voice to the left of me. "Are you okay?? Do you need anything from the bag?"
Right...
Apocalypse,
Zombies,
Gwi-nam.
I looked over to the left as my vision cleared up. Even this slight movement hurt like hell. I clutched my left side and realized I'd been bandaged up. "You done this before?" I smiled, trying to lighten the mood. Or at least I think I did??
"Mm. Yeah, I have. You get beat up a lot bein' in the group I was in. I wasn't the only one I ended up havin' to do this to." He looked over at me. "I'm sorry I didn't realize how badly you were hurt."
I laughed at him, but this caused me to wince in pain, squeezing my eyes shut. "Even I didn't realize it. Until I passed out."
He looked down, then looked over to his side. He then handed me a pill bottle. "It's pain mediation. Take one, it'll help."
I nodded. "Thank you." I dry-swallowed a couple of the pills from the bottle.
But just then, Gwi-nam did something that shocked me. He wrapped his arm around me, letting his hand rest on my right shoulder.
What?? Why? I'm fine now.. So... Why is he doing that?!
I could feel my face heat up.
I knew that he would flirt with me, but I thought he was just... making fun of me?? And this? It was too far if it was just a joke.
I ended up giving in. I rested my head against his body. I was in too much pain to care anymore.
I closed my eyes, and tried to go back to sleep. My head was killing me anyways.
| Gwi-nam POV |
Shortly after we had entered the room, I ended up being on my phone, talking to y/n. I was trying to see if the internet would work, so we could call someone for help possibly.
I looked up from my phone to see y/n grabbing her head in pain.
Did she get hurt?
Seconds later, she slumps to the ground.
"Y/n!!"
I rush over to her side. She didn't get bit did she?
I quickly scanned her for any bite marks or anything out of the ordinary. I didn't see any bites, but I did realize what was wrong. She scraped her left side up, and it was starting to bruise. The headache and passing out could've been from hitting her head too hard. I could faintly remember one of the zombies hitting her pretty hard from the right and making her slam into a wall.
I scanned the room for a first aid kit, which I did find.
It is a science class, after all.
I took out the necessary tools and some pain medication for when she woke up.
I picked her up and carried her to a wooden bench on the side of the room. I set her down and made sure she wasn't going to be in too much pain from sitting like that if she were to wake up early.
I started patching up her left leg, which was bleeding pretty bad. This was the easy part.
Now, here's the awkward part.
How the hell do I patch her side up without lookin' like a damn pervert?
There wasn't much of a choice that I had, so I lifted her shirt up just enough to be able to start wrapping a bandage around her waist.
Once I was done, I took a seat next to her and waited for her to wake up.
- Time skip to after y/n falls back asleep on Gwi-nam -
Fuck! What the hell am I doing? Letting a girl win me over like that??
I couldn't have possibly fallen asleep like this. No way in hell.
Whatever.
She's gonna be fine.
She will be fine...
I was sitting there, y/n resting on my shoulder, when suddenly it went real quiet outside. The zombies near the blocked window had left.
Oh shit.
I realized that it probably wasn't safe there anymore.
Now that I realized it, the door was pretty fucked up and the window was shattered. Zombies could've easily gotten in if enough of them came to the science room.
The zombies had cleared away from the window and door and had run in a different direction.
I lightly tapped on y/n to wake her. She didn't move, so I assumed that she was extremely tired. It was late, probably around one or two in the morning. I was too lazy to check my phone.
I gently lifted y/n's head off of my shoulder and laid her back down on the bench. I got up and walked over towards the door. I looked out the window first.
Nothing.
On either side.
What?? Where the hell did they go? They couldn't have just disappeared, the fuck?
Some survivor was out there.
I guess I gotta see who it is, then.
But that's when y/n started to wake up....
| Y/n POV |
It's so strange.
Everything is, lately.
I spotted Gwi-nam at the window by the door. The broken one. What was weird was that there were no zombies.
"Where are the zombies?" I asked, the sleepiness still in my voice.
"Got no clue. I was about to find out," he replied.
I immediately sat upright and got up. The pain in my leg was a little bit less strong, presumably from the pain medication that I took earlier. "You can't go out there. They're probably gathering around a human body right now and eating it."
"No, look." He waved me over. As I walked towards him, he pointed out of the window. "They ain't there anymore. Like they disappeared. They normally come back after they finish killin' the survivors they hear."
He was right.
"Let's go take a look outside then. It's probably a survivor in hiding. We can take any stragglers." I was referring to the zombies, not the humans. Whoops. Thankfully, I think Gwi-nam got that.
What surprised me is that Gwi-nam actually gave me a concerned look. "In your condition?" he asked.
He cared about me?
"Come on. It doesn't hurt too bad. Plus, it could be the group Su-hyeok was with," I said.
Gwi-nam lowered his head at the mention of Su's name. He played it cool though, and responded, "Alright. We'll go. We can gather a bigger group and get to the rooftop. Choppers have been flyin' around the city all day."
"Really? Well damn. Okay then," I said.
I had been completely out of it, but it looked like we had a little bit of hope of being saved!! I grabbed my backpack, just in case we got stuck, then grabbed my knife. "Get your stuff. We leave in 30 seconds."
"Got it." He then put his bloodied white jacked over him, and grabbed his phone and knife.
That was hot.
God damn it.
"What are you starin' at?" Gwi-nam asked jokingly, snapping me out of it.
"Nothing. I was staring at nothing." I quickly looked away.
He chuckled at me.
Anyways, we cleared through the room, looking for any useful supplies. We found nothing good.
We left the room quickly and quietly, unknowing of what we would find next.
~~~ End ~~~
