I sneaked back home through the garden since my mom left it open for me.

I tip toed up into my room, trying to be as quiet as possible.
Good thing they're already off to sleep by now.

I went into my room and quickly grabbed a random black hoodie to match my black knee length pants.

I will have to think of something if it is my turn today.

I completed my outfit and checked my phone for messages.
I texted Langa, asking him how he will get there but he didn't reply.

I guess I will take a night bus or something.

I wanted to grab my skateboard out of reflex before noticing that it's broken.

I sighed and grabbed my keys before sneaking back out.

My mother doesn't even know about this...

I breathed in the fresh night air and looked around for my friends, failing miserably.

"It's Yami..." A group whisper-yelled, making me turn to them.

"Woah...she looks even prettier with her hair down...." They whispered, making me glare at them.

Me? Pretty? Y'all blind?

I cleared my throat and continued walking and searching, especially for Reki.

Just as I spotted Langa and Joe, the lights went out, fire shooting out and lights flashing right after.

I quickly looked to the front, seeing Adam jump up and make another dramatic entrance.

Everyone cheered, jumping up and down and waving their hands around.

I slowly walked over to Langa and Joe, my eyes not leaving Adam.

"Hi..." I waved at them, making Joe nod at me and Langa greet me.

"All you fools who like skateboarding!"  Adam shouted, making the audience go crazier.
He landed back down, stretching his hands out.

"As of now, I would like to determine the one human who loves skating the most and is loved by the gods of skateboarding!" He loudly spoke, clapping his hands after his speech and making a projector project the participants on the rock wall behind him.

Harry, Shadow, Miya, Snow, Adam, Cherry Blossom, Joe, Snake, Phoenix and me....Yami.

Who is Snake and who is Phoenix?

They both are wearing caps...

Which one was the one that stared at me....They look so similiar...

Everyone cheered once again while I clenched my fists.

Adam...

"Adam is number one!" He pointed his finger at the audience. "Who do all of you think will win? This gets you excited, doesn't it?"

Everyone started talking about the participants, cheering for particular ones.

"Woah, Yami is so strong! She's the only girl!"
"Yes, the beauty gets my vote!"
"She's so cool!"

I heard some say about me until Adam spoke up again.

"Well now, let's get on with it." Adam turned to his box and took a card out.

"The first challenger is...."

He started, making me gulp in nervousness.

"Shadow!" He called out, making the crowd yell in excitement.

"And his opponent is...."

Please don't be me....

"Harry!" Adam called out, getting fewer cheers than Shadow.

I sighed in relief. Good thing it's not my turn.

I stood next to Langa, watching Shadow already winning.

"He's the first to go." I commented, making Langa nod.

"Adam is about to announce the next one!" We turned back to Adam, watching him excitedly pull his favorite card out.

"Then, on to the next beef....This time, the skater is, Snow!" He smirked widely, making me glare at him even though he couldn't see me.

Would he leave Langa alone if I agreed to be his Eve?

I glanced at Langa, who looked up at Adam nervously.

I could be his opponent...

Please no....

Adam turned back to the box.
"Oh! This makes my heart race! Who is the lucky one who can become his opponent." He smirked as he took out another card, being disappointed by the outcome.

"Joe..." Adam announced boredly, making me look over at Joe who was smiling.

"Let's have a good one..." He said to Langa. "....Snow."

They got into position, the sirens starting.

"You got this!" I yelled out to I don't know which one of them. Just let them both have it.

Langa smiled at me while Joe gave me a thumbs up.

I nodded and hushed them to look to the front because the last siren will ring....

NOW!

They both started eagerly, being almost equal.

I quickly jogged to the screen next to Shadow and Miya.

"Oh, Y/N." Miya gretted, making me shot them a single smile before paying attention back to the screen.

"So far, they're dead even!" Shadow talked.
"So far, they're dead even! There's a big corner coming up." Miya added.

"Both of them are thinking the same thing." I concluded.

"I'm sure they'll try to get in the lead there!" Miya spoke up again.

Joe suddenly increased his speed by kneeling down and putting his hand on his board.

"That's reckless! That's too fast!" Miya yelled out.
"Does that guy have a death wish!" Shadow growled, sweating.

"I believe in Joe. He knows what he's doing!" I clenched my fists, waiting for what will come in mere seconds.

Joe jumped off a rock and landed on the rock wall in front of him, pushing his foot back. Due to the energy he used, he sent himself flying and increased his following speed.

"He made a turn on the rock and accelerated?!" Shadow yelled out right before everyone started cheering loudly.

Woah....Joe...

"That kind of skating is impossible..." Miya stared in disbelief.
"Your legs would break." Shadow joined, making me chuckle.

"It's Joe. The Muscle Gorilla. What else could we expect!" I added, celebrating Joe before realizing that Langa wasn't seen on the screen anymore.

I stepped closer to get a better look and finally saw Langa following, but slower.

"No matter how many times I tell him, he makes wasteful movements." Cherry spoke up.

We turned our gaze towards him.
"Ya think so?" Shadow asked, thinking about why that would be so.

"His entry angle is too weak, too." Cherry added. "If he entered at 25 degrees, he could have exited 0.3 seconds faster."

"0.3?" Miya and I sweatdropped in unison.

"And his upper body tilt is also weak. In the first place, he's rough-cut with everything he does. If you don't compete well here, you won't be able to win against Adam." Cherry continued while we were listening.

Joe and Langa increased again on a straightaway.

"Is he gonna do another Power Break?" Shadow shockingly yelled.
"But they're heading into a straightaway." Miya informed, making me look closer at the screen for confirmation.

"Wait! It can't be!" Shadow growled again.

Joe just then put his hands on the board and stretched his legs out, his body as straight as a table hovering above the skateboard.

His speed increased and he left Langa alone.

"What speed..." Miya nervously complimented, making me nod.

"Those muscles...I could never." I watched carefully, his body not even flinching.

"You have to minimize air resistance to increase speed." Cherry explained.

"That's what that missile-style is about!" Shadow gasped.

"So, it means that his needlessly bulky body isn't all for show." Cherry gave in.

"It's really useful, actually." I agreed, nodding to myself and smiling weakly.
I looked down, clenching my hand over my heart.

I don't feel well.....

"Langa?" Miya questioned.
I looked back up to see Langa going slower and slower.

"What is he doing!" I yelled.
"TSK!" I quickly turned around and ran to Langas bike, immediately opening the space where he hides the keys and drove off after grabbing them.

"Y/N!" Miya yelled but I didn't listen.

He better not give up like Reki!

I went as fast as I could until I finally saw Langa.

I parked right before a small group of boys, next to a guy with a green hoodie, making some stones fly up by the sudden brake.

I jumped off and opened my mouth to yell at Langa until someone cut me to it.

"LANGAAAAAAAAAA!" The one next to me yelled.

Wait, Reki!!!!

I immediately turned to him, my eyes widening at the sight.

"Reki?!" I didn't know what happened to Langa right now but I can't look away from Reki.

I finally got him!

Reki then turned to me, his expression still shocked from earlier.

"Reki..." I sighed, relaxing my muscles.

"Y....Y/N...." He whispered, making the others next to us step back.

"Yami..?" One whispered to his friend, making them start mumbling things while looking at us.

"You came..." I smiled, looking into his shining brown and red orbs.

Reki didn't say anything. He just turned to the tablet the boys were holding and continued watching.

I sighed and joined behind them, pushing their faces away so that I could have a closer look.

They were now already in the abandoned building.
Joe used his muscle power again to make it over an obstacle.

Langa intentionally went to the steel frames Joe just pushed.

"Langa!" Reki whispered, making me gaze at him for a second before looking back on the screen.

"He's gonna collide!" Reki yelled out.

"Langa..." I mumbled, gulping hardly.

But instead, he used that to jump off to the ground.

It's a close one! It's so close! Really, really close!!!

Just then, they both made it, Langa falling down on the ground.

Did his board just crack?

"Langa won..." I heard Reki a bit further away, making me notice that he's watching on his own phone.

I quickly went over to him.

"...-against Joe...." Reki continued.

"Reki....?" I tried to get a look on his face but his hair covered it.

"Woah, Snow won!"
"He might as well win against Adam!"
"He just might!"

Those three guys laughed, making me worried about Reki.

Just then, a tear fell down his cheek, making me widen my eyes.

I quickly grabbed his shirt and pulled him into a hug, making him gasp.

"Y/N......" He cried silently. "Y/N, what do I do..?" He continued, embracing me tightly while his tears dropped down one by one.

"I don't wanna cheer others on, after all!" He continued.
"Huh?" I looked at his expression, making my heart clench deep inside of me.

"I wanna be skating right next to Langa and you! I wanna be there! Up there!" Reki closed his eyes, trying to stop the tears and pain.

I kept quiet, patting his back while he embraced me tighter.

"Reki....please don't be sad..." I whispered, putting my hand up on his head and patting him gently.

"Y/N. Why am I like this?" He asked once again.

"Reki. There is nothing wrong with you. You're amazing yourself!" I started getting louder, gently pushing him away and pointing my index finger at him.

"You're amazing!! Why can't you see that? You're more amazing than me! I am nothing compared to you..."

You taught me after all, didn't you?..." I got frustrated, trying to keep my anger in...partly...

He widened his eyes this time, wiping his tears away and looking to the side.

"Sorry. I'm not." He turned around and started walking away.

"Wait!" I yelled out, trying to catch him.

"Don't follow me!" He yelled, running away.

"Dammit, Reki" I followed him closely, trying to catch him.

He ran all the way to the gate until I finally caught his arm.

"Reki, please! Just stay! Please!" I tightened my grip around his wrist while he looked down on the ground, not daring to look at me.

My heart squeezed again, making me flinch.

It hurts....what is this...

Reki pushed me away gently, turning to the guy at the gate and putting something into his hand.

"You sure?" The guy asked, making Reki nod.

The S pin?!?!

"Stop, stop, stop!" I stepped closer, taking the pin out of his hands and opening my mouth to say something again.

"I miss you!" I shouted, making the guy next to me sweatdrop.

Reki stopped in his tracks, not turning around.

"Reki, I miss you so much! I'm so cold without your bright smile!It hurts!"
I continued, looking down on the S pin while my left hand was clutching the cloth above my chest once again.

What am I even saying...?

"You, stop her if she follows me." Reki said to the guy next to me.

"What?!--" I stepped forward.

"Don't follow me...." He whispered, turning his head to gaze at me from the side.
"...please..." He added, hitting me with a hurtful expression before quickly walking away.

I stepped forward to run after him, being stopped by that guy.

"LET GO!" I yelled but he didn't budge.

"REKI! COME ON!" I shouted after him but it didn't affect him.
"You're still amazing to me!" I added before sighing as I relaxed my muscles, making me guy next to me sigh too.

"Y/N! There you are!" Someone that sounded like Shadow yelled right after.

"Y/N, QUICK! CHERRY! CHERRY, HE--!" I heard Miya also shout, making me quickly turn around.

"What, what happened?" I looked between the both of them worriedly.

"Adam! Adam....he-"
