Keith

"Keith," Shiro called, grabbing his coat and putting it on. Keith walked down the stairs with his phone in hand. He knows exactly what his older brother was going to say. Something about him being good while he's out.

"I'm heading out, please Keith do not cause trouble for the next door neighbors again." Shiro begged. Keith shrugged in response. "I didn't even egg their house that was James."

Shiro sighed and shook his head in disappointment. "Be good."

Keith nodded and leant on the wall. Not much he can do now. He was definitely going to set off a firework on his homophobic neighbors porch. Keith heard the front door open and close. He was alone. Keith didn't mind being alone. He enjoys the peacefulness. Even though he lives with one person, which is his brother, he does tend to get loud.

Keith went into the kitchen and grabbed a couple cookies. The older was trying to go on a diet but there's just so much delicious food in the kitchen. Fuck diets at this point. Keith bit his cookie and went into the living room. It hasn't even been a couple minutes of peacefulness before there was a knock at his door. Keith moaned before walking to his front door. He stuffed another cookie in his mouth before opening the door.

Keith was surprised at who he saw. His cookie fell out of his mouth when he saw a familiar brunette at his door. "Lance?" Keith tilted his head. The brunette didn't respond; he just shimmied his way pass Keith, stepping over the cookie the raven haired boy dropped.

Keith cocked a brow before closing the door and picking up the cookie he dropped. He sighed and stared at the cookie with a frown. May the cookie rest in peace. The pale boy turned around and saw Lance sitting on the couch in the living room.

'Wonder what's up with him..' Keith thought, making his way to the kitchen to throw the cookie away. When Keith came back to the living room he saw Lance wiping his face. Keith immediately felt wounded when he saw the younger crying.

"Lance," Keith says faintly, "You okay?" The older sat down next to the brunette and the younger let out a sob. Keith furrowed his brows and hugged the younger. "Hey, don't cry.."

"What's wrong Lance?" Keith asked, rubbing small circles into Lance's back as a sign of comfort. Lance sniffled and laughed dryly. "Allura broke up with me.."

Keith was shocked. 'Allura? What happened?' The older continued to rub small circles into his friend's back. Lance buried his face into Keith's neck and continued to cry silently.

"You guys were doing great, what happened?" Keith whispered, moving his left hand to the younger's head. He ran his fingers through the brunette locks soothingly. Keith kinda stole this movement from Lance. He would comfort him this way and it always lured him to sleep.

"S..She said that she didn't feel the same feelings she used to.." Lance mumbled, "She said that she had feelings for her best friend, Romelle."

'I knew it!' Keith smiled triumphantly.

"I..I don't know what to do anymore. I can't find myself to get angry at her because I was feeling the same way."

Keith let out a puzzled hum and cocked his head, abruptly stopping his movements. "You were falling out of love with her too?"

Lance nodded disappointedly. "Yeah, I always thought we were going to be together forever. Guess not.."

Keith laid back and put Lance's head on his chest. Lance gave him a perplexed look. Keith said, "Take off your shoes."

Lance listened and hesitantly kicked off his shoes. The younger rested his head on his friend's chest and listened intently to his heartbeat. Keith wrapped his arm around his and let his other hand running through the younger's brunette hair.

"It's going to be okay. I'm not going to lie, I felt like you guys were falling out of love by the way you both acted. She looked happier spending time with Romelle and you looked content with that. If I'm being honest, you guys didn't seem at all compatible at first but you both worked it out. I'm kinda jealous since I'm a problem creator and not a problem solver. This break up is going to hurt but you gotta let go to heal. Forgive her and forgive yourself. She isn't your only soulmate. There's a million of people on this planet that would love to be with you. For example, I would..but this isn't about me. I'm going to stay by your side even if you find someone who isn't meant for you."

Keith felt his heart racing when he confessed just like that. He closed his eyes and waited for the brunette to respond. He didn't receive anything but quiet snores. Keith opened his eyes and heard more snores. The older chuckled. He put Lance to sleep. Good because this wasn't the way he wanted to confess. He wanted to help Lance heal first and then he'll confess when the timing is just right. Or he won't due to him being too scared to.

Keith kissed his head and smiled softly. "Sleep well, blue."
