A sinister grin curled on his face as his presence manifested fully in the battlefield. His eyes burned with malice, the terrifying aura of the King of Curses radiating like a storm ready to unleash its fury. Gojo, who had been standing confidently moments before, froze as the immense energy engulfed the space.
"Did you really think you could take me down, Gojo?" Sukuna's voice was a low growl, dripping with arrogance as he towered over the scene, his eyes focused on Gojo with a mixture of disdain and amusement.
Gojo smirked, already preparing for the inevitable clash. "It's cute you think you can beat me, Sukuna," he said, stepping forward. "But we both know how this ends."
Before Gojo could even make his move, Sukuna lunged, his fist crackling with cursed energy. Gojo barely had time to react as the King of Curses struck with such speed and force that the air around him seemed to explode. Gojo was sent skidding back, his feet scraping the ground as the shockwave reverberated through the atmosphere.
Sukuna's eyes gleamed. "Let's see if your power can stand against mine."
The two clashed with terrifying ferocity, their powers colliding like natural disasters. With every strike, the ground cracked and the air buzzed with energy. Gojo and Sukuna exchanged blow after blow, the battle escalating quickly, a violent dance of curses and sorcerers.
But then, amidst the chaos, something unexpected happened.
Yuji Itadori, his body still possessed by Sukuna but flickering in and out of control, briefly gained control of himself. His eyes, no longer those of Sukuna, locked onto yoursβdesperation and fear written across his face.
In that brief moment, as Sukuna's energy faltered just slightly, Gojo seized the opportunity. His eyes flickered with an understandingβan opening too good to miss.
With a swift movement, Gojo unleashed a devastating attack, a beam of pure cursed energy that collided directly with Sukuna. The impact was overwhelming, sending the King of Curses crashing to the ground with a mighty thud.
You couldn't stay, not now. Not with Sukuna unconscious and Gojo still alive.
Sukuna's body crumpled, his form twitching as Gojo's attack left him unconscious. For a moment, the battlefield was eerily quiet. Gojo stood tall, eyes narrowed, staring down at Sukuna's collapsed form with an expression of careful caution.
He approached, but then something caught his attentionβa subtle shift in the air.
Gojo's eyes scanned the area, and it took a second for him to realize what had happened. The small form, no bigger than a mouse, darted quickly into the underbrushβa flash of movement so quick that it was almost imperceptible.
Y/N.
Gojo's eyes widened in realization, a smirk slowly tugging at the corners of his lips.
He looked down at Yuji's unconscious body in his arms, then back to where you had just fled. It wasn't just Sukuna he needed to deal with now.
"Of course," Gojo muttered to himself, a chuckle escaping his lips as he shook his head. "You really are something else."
In that brief, chaotic moment, you had slipped awayβtaking advantage of the confusion, transforming into a mouse and fleeing with surprising speed and quiet precision.
Gojo glanced at Yuji's body once more, then looked back to where you had vanished into the distance. He sighed, already calculating what this would mean for the next move.
"Well, I guess the hunt's on now," Gojo said under his breath, the tension in his posture shifting to something more playful as he cradled Yuji's form.
And so, with the battle overβat least for nowβSatoru Gojo was left with only one thing on his mind. He had Yuji's body in hand, but you... You had made your escape.
-
Yuji woke up in an unfamiliar roomβprobably a hotel room. He blinked a few times, the fogginess of sleep still clinging to his mind. As his surroundings came into focus, he froze, his heart jumping into his throat. Satoru. Gojo was sitting there, casually perched on the edge of the bed, as if the entire situation wasn't completely bizarre.
Yuji's breath hitched, and before he could stop himself, a few tears slipped from his eyes. He wasn't sure whyβwas it fear? Relief? Or something else entirely?
Gojo didn't even flinch. "Let me ask you something." he started, his voice casual but with that trademark smirk plastered across his face. "Are you really Yuji? Or are you that ugly curse?"
Yuji blinked through his tears, feeling like he was losing his mind. He swallowed hard before answering, his voice barely above a whisper, "Yuji."
Gojo raised an eyebrow and leaned in a little. "If you truly are Yuji," he continued, voice still calm but laced with a hint of mischief, "I'll give you a way to escape from Y/N for now. But if you're a curse, I suggest you go out on some street and live there."
He side-eyed Yuji, his lips curling into an almost playful grin. "You're not that ugly, though. Or... maybe you are. Haven't decided yet."
Yuji blinked in disbelief at Gojo, unsure if he should laugh or cry.
Yuji nodded, his throat tight as he processed the odd exchange. Gojo smiled again and handed him a bag. "For now, just put something in your stomach," he said, as if this was a casual conversation and not a surreal nightmare unfolding.
Yuji stared at the bag, his mind too jumbled to fully appreciate the gesture. He opened it slowly, finding foodβsomething to take the edge off. As he started eating mechanically, a question popped into his head.
"Is Y/N trying to kill us?" Yuji asked, his voice shaking slightly, though he wasn't sure if it was from hunger or dread.
Gojo didn't hesitate. "Yup."
Yuji nodded, trying to focus on chewing, but his thoughts were already spiraling. When he was done, Gojo was right there, prompting him. "If you're done eating, then go back to sleep. We need to get up early tomorrow."
Yuji lay back on the bed, his mind racing even as his body yearned for rest. But sleep wouldn't come. His thoughts kept circling back to Y/N. What had she done to him? What was her real game?
"My mind right now feels like I've fallen into a shitter filled with shit," Yuji muttered to himself, his words slurring with frustration. "I just lived like a dumbass because that's what I am. The world's biggest idiot. I was never thinking, always relying on someone else because, in the end, I had no choice anyway."
Gojo's voice cut through the fog of Yuji's self-loathing. "But isn't that just a normal life?" he said casually, as if he was talking about a light topic, like the weather. "A life doing only what you want to do and a life full of choices is just a dream."
Yuji stared at the ceiling, considering Gojo's words. He wasn't sure if it was a comfort or a slap in the face.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," Yuji muttered under his breath. "Normal life... real normal."
But his mind wouldn't let go of Y/N. He thought about herβhow she had been there for him, for both of them, at times. But then... the truth of what she was trying to do hit him. She wasn't just a person in his life. She was a threat. A force he couldn't comprehend fully, but one that was undeniable.
"How am I supposed to kill Y/N?" Yuji thought, his brows furrowing as he clenched his fists. "She's not someone I can just punch... All the times I've seen her, talked to her... I should've figured something off about her by now. Think, Yuji, think! Squeeze something out of your garbage brain!!"
But the harder he tried to focus, the more tangled his thoughts became. "I can't do it. My already shitty brain is just becoming more of a mess," he admitted, the weight of his failure sinking in deeper.
"I'm the worst. Even after everything she's done to me... I still like Y/N."
