DAPHNE POV

me and kat stepped in the house quickly. it was the morning and she had a mini vacuum in hand. we walked around checking for any ghosts, i followed kat into the kitchen and it looked nice? as if someone had been cleaning and cooking in here. and the mini ghost had popped in front of us.

"morning!" he sounded so cheerful but despite his cheery attitude me and kat were about the scream before he wrapped himself around me and kat's mouths to prevent us from screaming

"please don't scream, i promise i won't hurt you. im a ghost i admit it but im a friendly ghost. you have to trust me, if you scream you'll wake up my uncles and they'll get awfully cranky" he said with a very genuine and convincing tone

"im gonna let you go now okay?" he said before unraveling himself off of our faces

"you're so cold" kat said touching her face

"yeah it's cool" i said smirking slightly

"it's saves on heating though" as he floated to the table pulling out two chairs for me and kat

kat eyed him before walking over

"i can see right through you" kat said still amazed

"kind of happens when you don't have any skin" he chuckled

him, kat and i talked some more until we heard a ding and the ghost kid rushed to the oven area he stopped for a moment to put on his chef hat and started to make us some eggs. aww how sweet of him

"sunny side up kinda makes me yak" kat said

"no problem" ghost boy said taking his finger and whisking the eggs around "what about you?"

"ehh doesn't matter" i said smiling at him

after i said that he was focusing on the other breakfast foods he prepared for us. he moved onto the orange juice when he started to pour it into the glasses he stuck his hand above the cups i watched intensely when he finished, he threw the pulp on the wall

kat was amazed "so can you go invisible?" she asked and ghost boy picked up the glass and said "oh that's easy" and he went invisible we only saw his hat and the glasses

he reappeared again once he brought us our drinks we hesitantly took the glasses but he mentioned it was fresh and he seemed nice enough so why not. after we took our glasses kat continued with her questions until they touched hands because she was curious. dad popped in shortly after.

"morning dr. harvey would you like some breakfast?" ghostie asked

my dad stuttered for a bit but he ended up saying sure. my dad made sure we were ok before ghostie brought our plates over and brought my dad the paper of the day

those three other ghosts came in and were being annoying as usual and caused them and kat to argue over ghostie cleaning after them. they were such slobs

"get a grave!" i retorted defending kat and ghost boy causing them to shoot an insult at me

"let's get you two to school" dad said obviously trying to get me and kat out of that house

me and kat ended up walking to school we ran into these two kids on bikes the boy turned around and smiled at us, im pretty sure it was us or maybe kat i don't know. the girl was pretty rude from the jump but there was at least one girl like that wherever you reside.

me and kat had lockers by each other but my locker wasn't budging im sure i have the right code it was given to me in the office. until i saw a hand bang my locker twice and it opened like magic.

"Um thanks?" i said to the boy right in front of me

"that sounded like more of a question than a thank you" he said chuckling

i mentally rolled my eyes, he knew what i meant

"right. thanks for helping me out"

"i had that locker last year, my names vic" he smiled

"im daphne" i said back to him i didn't wanna seem rude so i gave him a small smile back that's until the blonde next to vic slammed her locker, gave me a fake smile and asked vic if he was coming with her and shot a mean look at me

"what's her deal?" kat asked

"i have no idea but let's head to class before we're late"

she just nodded and we checked our schedules for home room luckily we had that together and we sat in the back together as usual

"i've got announcements first off the gym repairing will take longer than expected so we're gonna have to push back the halloween dance just by a few months" the class except kat and i groaned

the blondie from earlier got up and opened her mouth, this ought to be good "well as most of you know my parents finished the new boat house so i'm sure it'd be no problem having the party at my place" she said very proud though absolutely nobody seemed excited there was unenthusiastic applause

"thank you amber, secondly we have two new students joining us! sisters! so i'd like you all to meet harvey, kathleen and daphne" the class laughed at the fact he said our last name first kat sunk into her seat and i just rolled my eyes

"would you two like to come up and say hi to everyone for me?" he said motioning his hands to the front making the whole class look at us

me and kat got up the whole class still looking, i was growing uncomfortable under their gaze

"harvey" amber said in a mocking tone making the class laugh but that caused the teacher to send her a warning look

"first kathleen tell me something special about yourself" the teacher smiled at her

"um well it's kat-" she was cutoff by amber purring like a cat, i was growing upset whats her deal with me and kat?

"well i guess i just moved here with my dad and friendship seems like a pretty friendly place" she said awkwardly making someone in the crowd snore and the class erupted in laughter

"what about you daphne" the teacher asked once again

"i hate the color yellow, i don't like lima beans, i hate math and also we uh live in whipstaff" i said with a very uninterested tone and an unimpressed look on my face

the kids faces went blank when they heard whipstaff, they looked terrified and i oddly liked it that way

"soo you've heard of it?" kat asked

"you actually live there?" a random red head asked

"mr curtis why don't we have the party at their house? it's super creepy and it's huge!" that seemed to tick amber off

"wait a minute! wait a minute! i thought we were having the party at my place! well ok we'll take a vote" this should be good

"whoever wants the party at my house raise your hand" and amber stuck her hand out, nobody raised their hand

i couldn't help it that made me laugh a bit that made her glare at me and i just shrugged with a smug look on my face

"everyone who wants the party at whipstaff?" mr curtis said

the whole class raised their hand

"well ladies ask your dad and get back to me by tomorrow so we can plan, back to your seats" he said smiling
