You did not think a reunion would go like this.

After a short period of time, you had run into the nameless, Welt, albeit very professional and bland in terms of humor, he mentioned something in a manner so subtle you nearly missed it.

"Sunday..is in Penacony?" you repeated his words in awe as he crossed his arms over his chest and nodded, "Since you're lingering here at the Dream's Edge, i assume you are..put frankly, missing him?" the older man inquired in a gentle tone.

You were still in shock, Robin told you Sunday had survived but that he had left before she could ask where he was going. You didn't think he would return and..barely think to come back to you, if even to say sorry or to say goodbye.

Quite frankly, you weren't planning to break up with him anytime soon, it hurt you to think he was too scared to face you. Granted, you did meet an oddly apologetic Intellatron earlier today, it was an odd encounter but you didn't know now at this time that it was him.

Welt watched as you struggled to come to terms with the idea that he would simply leave you behind like this..he always told you how much he loved you, cherished you and wished to protect you from his schemes.

Scheme's you didn't even know were happening at the time, that's likely how he kept you safe from them..

"He's currently on the astral express and..planning to travel on it for a while." he hummed and offered you a hand seeing as you grew increasingly distraught. Welt wasn't..the very best with emotions, all he could do was offer wise words and those of consolation.

But you had a better idea, biting the inside of your cheek and staying strong as you looked up at him with a look of steely determination. "Take me to the express, Mr. Welt." you stated and crossed your arms.

He seemed surprised for a moment before smiling and nodding, "I see why you two ended up together." he stated in passing before turning away, "Follow me." he hummed and held onto his cane.

You dusted off your clothes as you looked around the entryway of the express, setting your luggage aside for now as Welt lead you to the..party car? You couldn't imagine why Sunday would be hanging around in there.

Come to find it was more a place of leisure, equipped with a bar and its own mechanical bar tender. As you walked into the room and looked around, Welt looked around to make sure none of the other nameless would be around to witness the..inevitable dispute.

Sunday was spending his time in a corner with chairs and bookshelves, looking at his own book as he flipped through the delicate pages. He was oblivious to your presence before pausing as he flipped a page, as if he could recognize your footsteps.

"I..cannot face you." he stated in simplicity and closed his book, you crossed your arms and sighed. "Neither of us have honor to uphold here, Sunday. Turn around and look me in the eye, you fool." you ordered bitterly.

His wings lowered as his head did, setting his book on the shelf before turning around and facing you with a distraught look, like he was struggling to meet your steely look that he would usually combat with his own, more playful look.

He reached to gently graze your cheek, before holding your face with one hand. You reached up to do the same, holding his face before lightly slapping his cheek..though it was more like a pat that left the slightest sting.

He barely even winced, closing his eyes and sighing, "I am..not the same man you loved, you know.." he muttered softly and closed his eyes to avoid crying already. You stared at him and sighed, "I didn't think you could get any dumber." you teased and tilted your head.

"Is your name still Sunday?" you inquired and tilted your head, being met with the slightest hesitance, before nodding. "Are you still the same cry baby Halovian?" you hummed, being met with tears and a defeated smile, nodding slightly.

"You still have studs in your wings?" he nodded, "Still lack a sense of humor?" his eyes widened slightly and he frowned before nodding. "Then you are still plenty the man i love, i wasn't with you for your money and power, nor am i with you for control freak nature." you teased.

"No matter how you change, what your nature as, whether or not you're still a control freak, or the head of the Oak family, I am here, with you, chasing your dumbass around, because you are Sunday."

His expression gradually softened as he stared at you, blinking and not even realizing the tears that escaped his eyes as he did so.

"I see..perhaps i really am..t-the fool." he chuckled and held your face, the two of you pressing your foreheads together as he cried and you teared up. "Oh, Y/n.. I'm so sorry.." he muttered softly under his breath, but it was plenty loud enough for you to hear.

"Why didn't you come to see me before deciding to leave..? If i hadn't run into Mr. Yang, then i don't think I would be here.." you sighed and leaned back, pulling your sleeve down over your thumb to wipe away his tears.

"I did..though, it was in a form you wouldn't inherently recognize.." he admitted with a sigh, relaxing as you wiped his tears. "I did the same with Robin..though i allowed her the briefest sight of me." he hummed.

"And yet i didn't get that?" you inquired with a bitter pout as you pinched his cheek with a disgruntled expression. He winced and scowled, "You would have attracted too much attention..you were already in a tough spot, being so closely affiliated with me in a way Robin wasn't."

You frowned and sighed, you hated admitting that he was right, as your stated as 'The person dating the head of the Oak Family.' when everything went down, you were nearly left with nothing, if not for Robin.

"Perhaps this is in it's own right, a blessing..now Robin won't be burdened by my affiliation with you." he stated and smiled, sniffling softly. You raised a brow and shook your head, "Hmm..Can we kiss and call this..'argument' quits?" you inquired and tilted your head.

He blinked owlishly and smiled, "here.." he hummed and pulled you over to a big bean bag sat between two chairs. You followed with an excited smile, before he could really lay down with you..you tackled him into the bean bag.

He yelped and stumbled backwards, putting a hand on your lower back to stabilize you before sighing and shaking his head. "I still envy your energy.." he smiled and moved his hand up and down your back to soothe you, like he usually would.

"You never fall asleep first, you know..and i think you need more rest then me." you stated and pushed up to give him a kiss, one he fully accepted and deepened briefly before leaning back. "Save the kisses for when we have a room." he hummed and nodded towards the door towards the other rooms.

March's hair was pretty easy to see through the glass..and so was Stelle's.

You looked over and felt your cheek turn pink as you hid your face in his chest with a groan, "Fair enough..let's just..take a nap, alright?" you hummed and smiled up at him as he brushed his hand through your hair.

"I think that's a wonderful idea.." he hummed and leaned his head back with a soft and content smile, it was hard to say his goodbyes to his sister..but he was happy his goodbye to you lead to this reunion..

With that, you both fell asleep in a heartbeats time, the nosey March and Stelle wandered over curiously before March snapped a quick picture and set it aside for you when you two would wake up.

She didn't think it was creepy..

Just her kind of welcome gift.
