This is a test drive to see how many people would like to see a Mydei fanfic, since my friend wants one.
Castrum Kremnos is a city of honor, and glory, its royal family however, has a long history of Patricide.
Son's killing their fathers, mother's being left to grieve over the deaths of their husbands or sons, but Mydeimos' story was different. The crown prince of Kremnos, born to follow a path fraught with pains none before him have faced.
You let out a sigh and set the book down, written by a visitor to Kremnos during its period of war with Okhemia, describing the 'short' life of Mydeimos. But Kremnos has fallen, the walls around you had crumbled and its glory had long faded with the sheen of honor that once coated its walls.
You, unlike all of your comrades before, refused to leave the walls of your home to live within the walls of the enemy. Okhemia might be the only city with the grace of warm golden light, but you would not give up the last shred of honor you had in your body.
You would not falter where those before you had, not by your own will, atleast.
Your little safe room was littered with other things you'd collected from around the city, books and journals, pretty things belonging to the royal family, and weapons from the forge. The only thing that really mattered to you was your spear, double sided, two sharp curved blades on each side of the heavy pole.
It was your most trusted adversary in a place littered with titan-kin, you would never leave your safe room without it. You grabbed the pole and slung it over your shoulder as you stepped out of the room and looked around, it was quiet, so you didn't need to worry about any titan-kin.
"There's usually a few lurking around..wonder where they went." you hummed and closed the door, carefully walking over the cracks and rubble as you made your way towards the chain bridges to see what was up.
You swiftly and mercilessly killed off any titan-kin you'd run into along the way towards the bridges, the halls were lit barely by firelight, since the eyes of Aquila had long shut on this place. Your own voice filled your head as you hummed, spinning your spear until you'd reached the chain bridges, letting out a sigh as you prepared to cross.
You stretched your legs briefly before moving your spear to an easier to carry position as you made a B-line down the massive chain. It shook with your movement, but moving faster alleviated the issues of loosing balance. "The day those finally break.." you sighed and shook your head, turning your back to the chain bridge, unaware of the duo that were hot on your tail.
And that the crown prince, had returned home, if only temporarily.
You would usually take this time of night to see what was going on with Nikador, although the titan had lost his sense of reason, you still held out hope for it. Perhaps it was an innate desire to have the glory and beauty returned to your homeland, to see its streets and halls filled with life again.
It wouldn't admit it to anyone, not even yourself, but you were growing increasingly lonely over the years you'd been spending here, alone, using nothing but your own wits and strength to survive.
You had to approach and watch Nikador from a distance otherwise it would attack you without a second thought. "How did it come to this.." you sighed, watching the titan of strife idle as you leaned your spear against the wall and hummed as you stepped a little closer.
As you listened to the shrill cry of wind blowing against the titan's body, you also heard footsteps, assuming it was Titan-kin, you grumbled and grabbed your spear. Turning around and running towards the footsteps, pulling your spear back before realizing the titan-kin you were about to skewer, was in fact, human.
A woman with gray hair and piercing eyes of gold, you barely had a second to redirect your attack, instead driving your spear into the wall and letting out a breath of relief. "What the hell are you doing here?!" You shouted and watched the woman, whom only seemed more and more confused by the second.
Then you heard the voice of a man, and spun around, holding one end of your weapon to the mans voice. He had white hair, and beautiful blue eyes, smiling as he raised his hands up innocently with a smile, "Woah! Relax, friend." he hummed and stepped back.
Suddenly running into these random people put you on edge, squeezing the pole of your spear before sighing and pulling away. "Names." you demanded simply and stepped back so both of them were in your view.
"Phainon." The man responded swiftly, seemingly eager to earn your trust for whatever reason "Number one Baseballer!" The girl with gray hair grinned and put her hands on her hips like she was so proud of her name, "Her name is Stelle.." Phainon chuckled.
You narrowed your eyes, obviously still on guard, before sighing "Y/n." You hummed and looked the two up and down. "This isn't really the place for a date, so what is a Chrysos Heir doing here?" you hummed.
"Well i could ask you the same thing, you know." Phainon stated and crossed his arms, far more relaxed then you were at this point. "This is my home, i will not abandon it for your Flame-Chase." you stated simply and tilted your chin up in a proud manner.
"Well, a part of our mission is convincing you to join us in Okhemia, so.." Phainon admitted and scratched the back of his head with a sigh, "I doubt we'll be the ones to convince you, our friend might, though." he stated with somewhat confidence.
"Your friend? There's three of you?" you questioned with a scowl, such a statement made it difficult for you to relax or trust them further. "Okhemia is the enemy of my home, why would i join just to scramble in hopes that we'd be able to save the world?" You scoffed and raised your spear.
Seeing you on edge, the two just kept their hands up, and waited for their trump card to show up. You were tempted to gut these intruders here and now, but there was no honor in killing people who were not going to bother fighting back.
But you didn't have a moment to contemplate what you should do with them, as a voice behind you rang out, one that haunted your mind and the halls of this city with his choice of abandonment.
"Stand down."
You couldnt help but slowly turn around, unsure if you were hearing things, staring at the blonde man covered in red markings. His arms were crossed over his chest, looking down on you as you looked at him with wide eyes.
He clearly anticipated your reaction, moving to the side as you lunged at him spear first, even if he could not die, you would give him hell if it meant unleashing all the pent up anger you felt towards him in this moment.
"How dare you!" You hissed as he grabbed your spear and looked down on you as you tried to jerk it out of his grasp. Both of you were of equal strength, making it impossible to take your spear back into your full control.
Mydei couldn't bring himself to speak, he knew little of you, but knew why your hatred towards him was so fiery, many of his people felt the same way when he spoke of leaving Kremnos for Okhemia. You clearly had more hatred that burned brighter then anyone else's.
But he would not let that hatred bring about your doom, the group didn't have time for a stalemate, so he had to do something to make you let go. He let out a long sigh, golden eyes meeting yours as the markings across his body glowed ominously.
"Mydei be careful!" Was the last thing you remembered hearing as the red crystals at him command ensnared you and forced you into a daze, inevitably passing out. Mydei let out another sigh, being sure to catch you when the crystals cracked and evaporated.
Phainon and Stelle hurried over, Mydei passed your spear to Stelle for now as he lifted you up and looked around. "Great, we can't leave her lying unconscious with all the titan-kin around." Phainon sighed and shook his head, he was clearly hoping for a more diplomatic resolution.
Mydei made sure to treat you gently as he carried you, "I'll figure it out, i doubt this will hinder me much, anyway." he stated with steely confidence, encouraging the other two to continue on the path to the forge while he took the more direct route, knowing of a safer place he could leave you for the time being.
You're a weapon
and weapons don't weep.
