Jisoo was waiting for Seokmin in their favorite coffee shop. His boyfriend was supposed to join him as soon as his shift at work ended but he was twenty minutes late. It was totally fine with Jisoo, his boyfriend works so hard everyday for them to have the life they have right now. But the waiter kept hitting on him and it was seriously starting to annoy him.

"So cutie, can I have your number ?"

"No. Please just leave me alone."

"You've been waiting here for twenty minutes. At least order something."

"Fine. I'll have one hot chocolate please."

"Coming right up for you cutie."

"Stop calling me cutie."

The waiter left to prepare his order, finally leaving the poor boy alone. He quickly sent a 'sos' text to his boyfriend begging him to come as soon as possible. But two minutes later the annoying waiter was back.

"Here is your hot chocolate cutie. I even left you my number if you ever want to call or text me."

"I don't think that would be necessary."

Jisoo's tense muscles finally relaxed after hearing the voice of his boyfriend right behind him. A smile took place on his face.

"And who do you think you are ?"

"His boyfriend and if everything goes well, future husband. Am I right, love ?"

"I'm just waiting for you to propose."

"See. Now do your job and bring a cup of coffee. And for everyone's sake in here, leave my boyfriend alone."

"Yes sir."

A satisfied smile took place on Seokmin's face as he sat down next to his boyfriend.

"Was the 'sos' text because of that asshole ?"

"Yes. But now you are here and I think he understood the message."

"Are you sure about that ? He hasn't stopped looking at you even with me being here. Maybe he needs to fully see who is sitting beside you."

Jisoo looked at his boyfriend really confused before being met with a kiss. He felt the hands of Seokmin cupping his cheeks as he was deepening their kiss. When the two parted, a beautiful smile on both of their faces, the waiter was behind Jisoo looking embarrassed.

"Here is your coffee sir. Enjoy your stay in our shop."

"Thank you."

Seokmin thanked the waiter, not looking at him once, too focused on his boyfriend to look at the irrelevant person behind his lover. The waiter left and the two could finally enjoy their date.

"Did you wait long ?"

"Just twenty minutes. But I rushed out of work so I was early."

"And I was a little late, I'm sorry love."

"It's okay. You know I don't mind."

"How was your day ?"

"It was fine. My boss was annoying but not more than usual and I had lunch with Seungkwan and Vernon."

"Really ? I miss them. I miss everyone, it's been a long time since we were all together."

"You're right. We can maybe plan something for the end of the month, if everyone is free."

"Yeah, we'll text them later."

"And how was your day Minnie ?"

"Not too bad. I won this stupid file, you know the one me and that co-worker I hate where fighting for."

"That's great, I'm proud of you. I know this file could be a turn in your career."

"It could be, yes. We'll see."

And the two continued talking and drinking their beverages for an hour and it was time for them to go home.

"I have an idea, maybe we could buy some cake here and take it home for dessert tonight."

"That's a good idea love. Which one would you like ?"

"I don't know yet. And you ?"

"A slice of their fancy chocolate cake."

"Okay. Wait for me outside. I won't be long."

Seokmin nodded and kissed Jisoo's cheeks before leaving the shop. He saw his boyfriend looking at the different cakes by the window and a small laugh escaped his lips. He was so sure his boyfriend already chose what he wanted. He has been obsessed with the shop's strawberry shortcake ever since their friends gave him a slice during his birthday party. But seeing Jisoo's cute focused face on the cakes was something he wouldn't miss for the world.

And he was apparently not the only one thinking that. The waiter that kept flirting with Jisoo earlier was smiling behind his counter watching the man who was busy with a ton of different cakes. He smiled even more when Jisoo looked up, searching for a waiter to order his cake. The waiter was ready for another round of flirting.

"So cutie, you're ready to order ?"

Jisoo sighed, this waiter was really annoying but he chose to ignore it. He just wanted his slices of cake and to go home with his boyfriend.

"I would like one slice of your black magic chocolate cake, one slice of your strawberry shortcake and two of your big chocolate chip cookies."

"To go or here in the shop ?"

"To go, please."

"No problem. I'll pack that up for you cutie."

Jisoo rolled his eyes and looked outside. He saw his boyfriend already looking at him. He smiled and waved at him. Seokmin waved back and smiled at him. He felt a light tap on his shoulder and saw his boyfriend face turned to an annoyed one instead of his habitual happy one.

"Here is your order cutie."

"Thank you."

"I added a little gift for you inside your cake box."

"Can I pay ?"

"Yes, of course. Follow me to the counter."

The waiter then proceeded to wrap an arm around Jisoo's waist who just froze as the other man walked him to the counter.

Seokmin entered the shop again and walked to his boyfriend really quickly. He snatched him from the other man's hold and enveloped him in his arms.

"What do you think you're doing ?"

"Nothing, my client wanted to pay his order and I'm walking him to the counter."

"You don't need to have a hold on your client especially if you don't know them."

"It's fine."

"It's not fine. Let me talk to my boyfriend please. I'll pay in a minute."

The waiter left and Seokmin turned to his boyfriend who was still in his arms.

"Love, are you okay ?"

"Yes, I'm fine. I could have told him to stop, you know."

"I saw you. You froze. It was my first instinct."

"Nice to know you always have my back."

"You know I do. I was so scared."

"I healed you know, I'm fine now."

"I just can't risk losing you again."

"It's all in the past. Whatever this man has done to me, to us, it's behind us. I'm okay."

Seokmin smiled and kissed his boyfriend's forehead whispering a small 'I love you' before grabbing his lover's hand and walking over to the counter. The couple paid for their food and left the shop for good this time. Their walk home was fast, the cold weather rushing them into their apartment.

After the two of them changed out of their work clothes, they sat on the couch deciding what movie they will watch tonight and ate their left-overs while watching the first 'Avengers' movie.

They were cuddling, half way through the movie, when Jisoo decided he wanted his sweet. He left Seokmin's arms and ran to the fridge taking the cake box out. He opened it revealing two slices of each cake he ordered. He left the remaining slices in their fridge before joining once again his lover on the couch.

"I'm happy to tell you that we will have cake tomorrow too."

"You order two slices each ?"

"No, it's a gift from the annoying waiter."

"At least he did something good for us."

"Were you jealous Minnie ?"

"Of course, I was. He flirted with you like I was not here."

"It doesn't matter to me. You're the only one I want."

"I love you so much."

"I love you too, thanks for always being here for me."

"You're welcome love. It's my pleasure to be here for you."

"And I'm always here for you too Minnie. I'm sure you're gonna get that promotion so don't stress too much over that okay ?"

"I'll try my best."

The couple exchanged lots of kisses and cuddles during the rest of the movie, happy that their traumatizing memories were well buried by their usual love and happiness.
