Hint: This takes place in a more modern era and you have a daughter :) (D/n) = Daughter name

It was way past (D/n)'s bedtime, yet she was in your shared bedroom watching videos on your phone. You were cuddling her as your husband, Kisame was in the bathroom, getting ready for bed. Usually (D/n) should be in bed but since it's Friday, you allowed her to hang out with you and Kisame.

"Mom, what are we doing tomorrow?" your daughter asked, her small eyes are looking at you directly with a smile.

"Hmm, well your dad has some work to do tomorrow morning but he'll be back by noon. I'll be staying home the entire day. Why are you asking? Is there something you want to do tomorrow?" you replied.

She smiles with a nod then points to the phone with a video playing. The video was about a little kid around her age, showing all the goldfishes at the pet store.

"Can we get one?" she asked shyly. You tilted your head in confusion but within a few seconds, you were embraced in a hug with your shark of a husband.

"Hi, love." you greeted, softly kissing his head.

"Dad, Dad, look!" (D/n) took your phone and showed Kisame the same video of the little kid showing all the goldfishes at the pet store.

"Woah, little one, they look really gorgeous!" your husband leaned in to look closely at the goldfishes, admiring all the different variations of them.

"Dad, I asked mom if we could get one tomorrow but mom wasn't sure..." you saw your daughter give Kisame the puppy eyes move along with her secret pout.

"But don't you already own a fish at home? It even talks too, you know," he said with a chuckle, referring to himself. You held a hand up to your mouth to hold back your laughter but stopped when you saw your daughter's face slowly turns into a frown.

"But can I have the one that doesn't talk?"

"Alright, I'll get you one or two, but promise dad you take good care of it, okay?" he held out a pinky and your daughter locked hers with him, making a pinky promise.

     "Promise!"

"Okay, little one, let's take you to your room cause it's someone's time to sleep :)" Kisame walked out of the room with your daughter, heading to her room which was right across from your shared bedroom.

You rolled your eyes with a small laugh escaping your mouth.  Your daughter had just been carried to her room with your phone in her hands. You lay in bed, trying to sleep, you yawn softly before facing the right side of the room. Slowly, you felt your eyes close even more, and then, you were lost in your own little slumber.

     "Mom?"

You opened your eyes and see that your bedroom's light's turned off. Kisame now in bed with you, cuddling against you with snores coming from him. You saw the hallway's lights turned off and shining through your dark room. Your daughter was standing in the door frame with her eyes being rubbed many times.

"What's wrong, (D/n)?" you gently pry off Kisame's arms away from your waist and sit you, to get a great view of your daughter from afar.

"Mommy, I had a bad dream!" she ran to your side of the bed and quickly with tears streaming down her face. You take her body and held her close, gently stroking her hair. Whispering her words of comfort.

"It'll be okay. I'm here, (D/n). Daddy and mommy love you, nothing bad is gonna happen to you while we're here."

Kisame heard your daughter's sniffles along with your soft comforting whispers.

"Hey, what's wrong?" (D/n) looked over to him and ran to him for her to hug him.

"Daddy, I had a bad dream about a goldfish..." she said with more tears streaming down her face. Kisame took your daughter and held her tightly in his strong arms.

"You know, It's only a dream. It might've scared you but don't be afraid of owning a pet if you want to become stronger!" he said as he moved extra hairs all over her face. His hand wiping her tears, gently he placed a kiss on her forehead. Kisame learned that if your daughter was told she would get stronger from the small or large things she does, she feels better about the situation.

"Dad, I'm still scared of the dream. The body of the fish was still..." she trailed off as she fell into a deep slumber on top of Kisame's head. You heard of snores coming from her.

"Isn't she just like her father when it comes to sleeping and snores?" you stated with a smile.

Kisame chuckled before placing your daughter in the middle between the both of you. He ran his hand through her hair before sitting up and looking over to you. His hand gently brushing over your cheek.

"Yes, she acts like me, but her looks and behavior remind me of you, love," he said with a grin. Surely though, you and he both returned back to sleep. You cuddling your daughter whilst your husband was holding onto you and (D/n).

     "Good night, ladies," he whispered.
