*3rd person POV*
"I'm home."
Kazuha practically whispered that in his house. He didn't want to be heard, but he had to talk about his future seriously.
The boy left the door unlocked for his partner to be able to enter when he needs to. He left his coat and shoes in the closet next to the door and walked deeper in the house.
His heart wouldn't stop beating this fast. It was nerve-wracking. Kazuha wasn't ready, but it had to be done.
"...father?"
The boy's father was at his desk, with pictures of Kazuha and Scaramouche all over the place.
'He really did look for me.', Kazuha told himself.
"The hell are you doing here?"
"I have to clear up things with you."
"You're not welcome here anymore."
Normally, Kazuha would've cried, but he didn't care anymore. He gave up on this family.
"I'm not going yet. I know you're gonna try to hurt Scaramouche's family. I know you're gonna find me even if I move far from here."
"That boy ruined you."
"Scaramouche didn't ruin me! He's the best thing that has happened to me!"
"That's what you said with Tomo."
Kazuha felt like slapping the face of the person in front of him, but he had to remain composed.
"Tomo was but a close friend. You jump to conclusions so fast, I swear. Besides..."
That's it, he had to say it.
"...I love Scaramouche, and he loves me too."
"You bastardly son-!"
The furious man got up from his work chair and slapped Kazuha across the face.
At exactly that moment, steps were heard in the house.
Kazuha wondered if it was his mother, but the person was slightly taller.
"And who are you?!"
"Oh, me? I'm Scaramouche, Kazuha's boyfriend. Nice to meet you."
The purple-haired boy smirked, but his eyes didn't look happy nor confident. They looked conflicted between disgust and anger.
"Oh, so you're the thing that ruined my son. You take one more step, I can call the police over here and arrest you."
"Really now? What have I done, huh? Okay, I got in a fight with some kid at my old school, soooo dramatic. You're just a pathetic old man that can't accept that Kazuha will live his own life and that you will have no control over it."
The man scoffed and gave Kazuha a hateful look. He took his son's collar and pulled his ear next to his face.
"I hope you'll die. Never come back here again."
When the white-haired boy collar's was let go of, he felt rather uneasy, dizzy even. Scaramouche noticed his weird movements and supported Kazuha when he walked. The white-haired boy guided his partner to his room, he packed the things he needed most and left the house.
When they arrived outside of the house, Kazuha tried to keep himself from falling apart.
"I'm sorry.", calmly said Scaramouche.
"It's not your fault. It's his to be an arrogant and selfish bastard. I'm done with him, with this family. He doesn't want to see me here, so be it."
Scaramouche knew Kazuha didn't feel well. He took out his phone and called someone.
Soon enough, a car arrived in front of the parking.
"I swear, Scaramouche, all you have to do is call me for lifts when we live right next to... oh wait, Kazuha, you're not doing well, are you?"
That was the voice of Scaramouche's mother, Ei. The boy wouldn't have called his mother, but he understood his partner was feeling sick after this encounter and couldn't risk it.
"Here, hop in."
"Thanks, Ei."
The purple-haired boy helped Kazuha get in the back seat and he decided to stay with him. Ei drove the boys to her home and eventually, Kazuha started cooling down.
"Thank you for helping me out, Scaramouche, Ei. Really, thank you."
Scaramouche patted Kazuha's head and sighed.
"It's nothing, really. We're just happy to help.", said Scaramouche.
"Alright, Scaramouche, help Kazuha settle and I'll start preparing dinner."
The purple-haired boy guided his partner to his room, and started unpacking the stuff he brought with him.
"I'm sorry you'll be stuck here for a while. Maybe we could use a spare room to make you settle down here."
Kazuha's thoughts were all over the place, he was conflicted. There was one thing he knew full-well, though.
It was that he wouldn't ever, ever, go meet his father again.
"I'm not going back there. I'm gonna work hard and try to win enough money to buy an apartment."
Scaramouche understood Kazuha didn't go well. All those awful things his father told him may have not gotten to him when in the house, but they definitely catcher up to him at one point.
"I think you can stay here as long as you need. Don't worry, Ei understands your situation and doesn't mind. She actually prefers giving you some support."
"I can't tell you how thankful I am to Ei and you."
When the boys finished unpacking and preparing the room, Scaramouche sat on his bed and sighed.
"So, what's gonna happen next?"
"I'm gonna have to organize stuff with the school. And maybe-"
"No, I mean... what's gonna happen with us?"
Scaramouche couldn't look at Kazuha in the eyes. It embarrassed him to talk about it, even if it was inevitable.
"W-well... I l-love you, so...", said Kazuha.
He wasn't able to continue his sentence as it embarrassed him too much.
"We don't have to date yet, if you're not up for it..."
"No, I'm ready. You?"
"Of course I am."
As embarrassing as the whole conversation was, it was the thing Scaramouche always wanted to hear. He heaved a sigh of relief and unconsciously smiled. For Kazuha, though, it was slightly nerve-wracking, but in a good way.
"You know, you looked really cool when you confronted my father."
"I just wanted him dead, so I said whatever came to mind."
"Y-you should act like that more often."
Both of the boys talked and laughed together until Ei called them and her partner for dinner. The two ladies bickered, Scaramouche argued and Kazuha laughed about the situation again. The boys helped Ei wash the dishes and Yae Miko lazed around the couch.
When they finished, Scaramouche went back to his room and Kazuha followed him. It was getting late anyways, and they had school tomorrow. Kazuha sat down on the mattress and stared at the roof of the room, while Scaramouche sat on his bed and gaze at the other boy.
"I'm feeling real tired today. You?", asked Scaramouche.
"Of course I am. This was a really weird day, but... it was especially nice."
"...yeah, it was."
Scaramouche decided to lay down on his bed and prepared to sleep.
"Good night, Kazuha."
"Good night, Scaramouche."
No sound was heard again, but Kazuha still couldn't sleep. All of his life changed in an instant, and he still had to keep his thoughts balanced. Still, after hearing how Scaramouche thought of him...
He couldn't help but think of this day as the best one he lived.
"Let's stay like this forever, like our normal relationship."
That thought crossed Kazuha's mind before closing his eyes.
Hi everyone!
How are you all doing?
New chapter!!! Stuck with slight writer's block so sorry if the updates are taking a bit longer than usual.
Like I said in the previous chapter, I'm trying to base this fanfic off the relationship they'll have more than the time needed to confess, as it's done already.
Also, I'm thankful to all those that have read this far, it makes me really glad to see that people enjoy reading my fanfic!
Now then, until next chapter~
