OLVIAS HEAD COULDN'T STOP SPINNING . Not in a dizzying way or in a "my head hurts" kind of way.

The kind of way when someone just told you that you and your best friends have been dead for twenty-five freaking years.

Olivia let out a sigh of expiration and sank onto the couch while taking off her jacket. She leaned back to stare at the ceiling while thoughts ran through her head as if running a marathon.

She could hear the guys walking around the room, probably exploring the new garage a little, sometimes hearing a few notes here and there from the guitars and the piano.

"Jeez, twenty-five years. Can you believe it?" she heard Reggie ask, her eyes still trained on the ceiling.

" Guys, we're supposed to be 44 or something right now. We probably all have kids by now," Alex cried.

Olivia couldn't be bothered to look away from the ceiling as she heard the couch dip a little beside her, indicating that someone was sitting beside her.

The faint smell of cinnamon and pine wafted through her nostrils as she smiled a little. "What do you want, Luke?"

She heard Luke shuffle closer to her as she finally shifted her head, so now she was staring at the hazel-eyed boy.

Luke's hair was slightly messy and he had a dopey smile on his face. "How'd you know it was me?" he asked, causing Olivia to smile and roll her eyes.

"Please, I've hung out with you boys so much I can tell who's who just by smelling your jackets, and trust me, you don't wanna do that," she said, crinkling her nose slightly, causing Luke's smile to widen.

One of his favorite things about Olivia was her nose scrunch.

Olivia turned to her side so she was fully facing Luke. Their legs crisscrossed as their knees touched.

Luke looked at her with soft eyes as he asked, "How are you doing? With all this, being dead for twenty-five years thing?" He scanned her face for any sort of emotion, but unlike usual, he couldn't read her.

"Honestly? I'm kinda scared and confused? I mean, twenty-five years! God, we missed so much, like going to college, the Orpheum-Oh my gods! The Hawaii trip, we're never gonna do the Hawaii trip," Olivia rambled, but Luke just gazed at the girl like she was the only thing that ever mattered.

Obviously, this didn't go unnoticed by Alex as he watched his best friend stare at his little sister with such admiration.

He was glad to know that if ever the day came, Luke would be there for his sister when he couldn't be.

Olivia sighed as she laid back on the couch staring into space. "All I'm concerned about right now is my parents," she thought out loud, causing Luke to visibly tense up and Olivia's eyes to widen as she scrambled to sit up.

"Luke, oh God, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring it up so casually-"

"No, no, it's ok, we're talking about your parents, not mine."

Luke offered a sad smile as Olivia frowned. She sat there quietly for a minute before speaking up again.

"You know, I bet your parents miss you as much as you miss them, especially your mom," she whispered softly as she placed her hand over his, warmth immediately flooding both their senses at the touch.

Luke nodded slightly while fully taking her hand in his "I know, I know, I don't want to talk about them right now. Is that ok?" Luke asked lowly as Olivia squeezed his hand, giving him a sympathetic nod.

It was silent again before Luke spoke up "What do you think your parents are doing now?" he asked, his hand still holding hers.

She shrugged, "I honestly don't know. I guess they were probably really upset when they heard the news.  Probably went out of their minds, maybe they even regretted saying some of that stuff to Alex and me."

She trailed off at the last few words, and Luke gave her hand a soft squeeze, knowing that it was hard for her to talk about her parents too.

"There were so many things we wanted to do, the Hawaii trip, surfing at Malibu-oh oH OH we never got to teach you how to rollerskate!" Olivia whined as Luke chuckled a little.

"Hey, at least we're here together, right?" Luke said, causing a smile to break out on the girl's face as she nodded.

Luke leaned closer to the blonde so that she could almost feel his breath against her neck.

"Dead or alive, it doesn't matter. As long as I'm with you, nothing matters," Luke said sincerely, looking up at the girl intently as heat rushed to her face, not going unnoticed by Luke.

He smirked at the blushing girl and leaned in ever so slightly-

"Hey, Liv! Come here, let's go check out the loft " Shouted an innocent Reggie from the top of the ladder, leading to the loft, causing Luke to flinch back as Olivia blinked.

What the hell did he almost do, she asked herself, as she sent Luke an apologetic smile before rushing up to meet the bass player.

Luke watched as Reggie and Olivia talked and laughed over their old things still in the loft as Alex walked forward and put his hand on his shoulder.

"I will let you know that even if I think the two of you are darn right cute, I will not hesitate to break you if you ever dream of hurting her. Is that clear?" Alex said with a sickly sweet smile as Luke swallowed nervously before nodding.

Reggie stuck his head over the loft to look down at the guys. "Hey, let's go check out the house!" he said, to which the guys agreed and they all looked to Olivia for approval.

"No, since Julie's probably in there with her family trying to have a normal family dinner, but I can't stop you. Just try not to make her life too much of a hell," the blonde said as she and Reggie climbed down the ladder.

Alex raised a brow, "you're not coming with?" he asked and Olivia shook her head

"Nah, I think I'm gonna stay here and enjoy the silence a little since I never got it as I'm always with you guys," she teased with a smile.

The boys shrugged at each other and cried "later" and "bye" before poofing out, which still never failed to surprise Olivia whenever they did that.

Olivia spun round in a circle, dully taking in the quiet and serenity of the garage.

She moved some things around a little to try and help tidy up the place before her eyes landed on a dark blue 6-string electric guitar.

The girl wolf-whistled as her fingers ran over the face of the guitar.

"A Fender Mustang, phew, the girl knows her stuff." Olivia delicately picked the guitar up, running her fingers over the smooth, shiny surface and the grooves of the neck.

Olivia played and sang with the guys sometimes during rehearsals, but it's been months since she sang in front of an audience, but she still loved music just the same.

Olivia glanced around to make sure no one was looking before placing the aux cord into an amp and turning the volume up. She took a deep breath in and strummed the guitar lightly.

The sound of the guitar rang through the air as Olivia breathed out a laugh.

She started doing scales and eventually started playing riffs and verses, her head nodding along to the music.

She almost started singing the lyrics to the song she wrote not too long ago, but decided against it and went with one of her favorite songs that she and Luke wrote together for the band.

"I hear you calling out my name, I love the sound, I love the taste." Olivia's voice came out soft at first.

Anyone who took the first glance at her wouldn't think that Olivia could sing heavy metal rock or even belt, but boy could the girl belt.

By the time she reached the chorus, the boys had poofed back into the garage, just to see their best friend rocking out and belting her heart out.

Their hearts swelled at the sight.

It had become rarer nowadays to see Olivia pick up an instrument and sing, but whenever she did, she was always on fire.

The boys immediately picked up instruments and joined in with her during the second verse, causing her to jump at the sudden noise but relaxed when she saw it was just her boys.

The energy was on a high. They played hard and they played loud, Olivia's voice ringing through the air as it mixed harmoniously with the gust of instruments.

"I love it when you wear your hair down over your shoulder, cause I wanna hold ya."

Olivia and Luke grinned at each other, both shredding their guitars as they sang in unison, "cause I know where tonight is going" in their harmonies, and pitch.

Everything was perfect.

It always was. There was always something magical whenever Luke and Olivia sang together. Everyone in the band could see it.

Maybe just not them

" your the only one that makes me - everytime we - do you wanna ride ? My wildflower !"  The two teens sang as Reggie and Alex sang backing vocals .

The two singers couldn't stop smiling , it felt like ages ago since Olivia last performed with the band and of course she missed it, she just wasn't ready to do it in front of a crowd .

As the band continued to jam out, Olivia couldn't help but look around at the boys she had grown to love, thankful every single day that she was here with them, because God knows what she'd do without them.
