It's been a day since the unpleasant conversation between father and daughter and since then no one talked to each other and her mother was sandwiched between them.

On the dining table, Dev finally said, โ€œThere is no respect for me in this house. Then be it. I will not take my medicine.โ€

Dipanshu was dumbfounded, like whatโ€™s this? She couldn't even take the biggest decision of her life now. Where was his father gone who would love her and fulfil her every wish. Where has he gone? He was not her father. Yes, he was the same but he never demanded something like this. Maybe he pampered her too much which resulted in her being spoilt.

She was so angry, that all the grief, pain which she felt in the hospital went like an ephemeral. She held the spoon so tightly that her knuckles turned white with her tightened jaw and was looking at the table. If she had powers then the table would have been turned into ashes.

The chair creaked so loudly that it was enough for a person to close his ears. She stood up and left the table without even completing her dinner.

โ€œWhy are you behaving like this? We can talk to her normally too.โ€ Asked Mamta agitatedly, seeing her daughter like this.

โ€œI know what I am doing.โ€ Saying this he too left the table, without completing his dinner too.

Mamta helplessly sighed and with the help of the nurse went inside her room. There was also a maid appointed for them who would cook food for them. She took the food and kept it in the refrigerator and washed the utensils.

Dipanshiโ€™s condition was not good at all. She was crying in her room, putting her head on the pillow. She never ever in her dreams thought that her father would be so adamant for her wedding at this age. She was just 19.

But more than her pride, her self confidence and her own ego, her parentsโ€™ health mattered the most. So like any other Indian girl, she gave in. She decided to agree with her parents. If they asked her in any other circumstances, she would do anything but agree to them. But now was not the situation. Even if she wanted to, she couldn't say no to her father. She knew the consequences.

The heartfelt conversation with her best friend at midnight helped her in deciding what to do next.

โ€œI canโ€™t believe, uncle would do something like this. How could he demand this?โ€ said Somya Garg, her bestfriend.
โ€œIโ€ฆ. I am still confused. Papa never did anything like this before. He would always be friendly. Iโ€ฆ I โ€ฆ. What should I do? If I declined it. He would not take his medicines on time. If I agreed, thenโ€ฆ.. What if the person he is mentioning would not like what he thought.โ€

โ€œBut what can we do? Look whatever your decision is, I am always with you. But if you agree, then let me tell you, if he does anything which makes you cry then by God, I will make the worst sting video of him and then expose him in front of all the world.โ€ said Somya while planning all the horrendous acts for her dear future brother-in-law.

Dipanshi who was listening to her friend coughed loudly and said, โ€œWhat nonsense are you sprouting? Are you out of your mind?โ€

โ€œWhat mind, huhh? I am saying na, you just have to tell me. If I am not with you, you just have to call me. Okay! Just one call and then see what I will do to him. By the way, It will be futile if my Dipu started loving him. Huhhโ€ฆ.. Just for once say, tere bhi dil mein laddu phut rahe honge apne future husband ke baare mein soch kar, nahi? Hainaโ€ฆ Haina??โ€

Divyanshi who was crying before calling her started laughing with tears flowing continuously. With Somya, she didn't need any other friend. She was a whole pack.

"Achcha, Ab shanti se so ja. Warna kal subah chudail ka muh dekhna padega sabko."

"Somi !!!!!"

With this, their conversation ended and Divyanshi finally made her decision. And yes, for a second she started thinking about her future husband. Who? How? Where? When?

Next day, Dipanshi not only told them her decision but also demanded a condition. She agreed only when her father promised her that on the day of her marriage they would also go to America for their treatment and more than her marriage preparation, they would prioritise their health.

Dipanshi was dumbfounded on seeing her father like he never ever had any illness. As the words came out of her mouth, he happily hugged her and patted her back saying that he knew that she would never disappoint him. He believed in his daughter.

And he didnโ€™t stop at this at all. He telephoned his friend and then, they were now coming to their house for โ€˜Shagunโ€™. Nurse who was appointed for her parents' help was helping her mother in the kitchen and the maid was cleaning the house for the special guests.

Mamta led Dipanshi to her room and picked a beautiful floral print Plazo suit for her and instructed her to wear it and do light makeup too. As instructed she got ready within half an hour and called her friend.

โ€œAur hone wali Dulhan sahiba! Aaj is time call kaise kiya?โ€

โ€œShut up Somi!.... Papa and Mamma are being frantic. There is complete chaos in the house. Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha ki sach mein Papa ki tabiyat kharab hai bhi ya yeh sab sirf ek natak tha?โ€

โ€œArre.. Unki beti ki shaadi hai toh yeh sab toh hona hi hai. Tu bataโ€ฆ. Excited?โ€

โ€œExcited, my foot. I am thinking what if I convinced him to say โ€˜Noโ€™. What do you say?โ€

โ€œDevi dhanya hain aap!โ€ mentally joining her hand in front of her.

โ€œSomi, be practicalโ€

โ€œOkay! Okay! So being practical, I think you should ask him and first see how he is.โ€

โ€œHmmโ€ฆโ€

โ€˜~Deepu~โ€™ Dipanshi heard a distant sound of her mother.

โ€œAchcha, Iโ€™ll call you later. Mamma is callingโ€

โ€œOkay, Take care.โ€

She put the phone aside and went downstairs to get the shock of her life. There stood her enemyโ€™s family, her Mathematics Professor, Mr. Rishi Mishraโ€™s family. Still standing on the staircase, mouth slightly opened, strong grip on the ralling, she was stunned to see them. What on the earth, they had to be here and why was her family so adamant to marry her off to her own professor, when not a single day left without her cursing her professor.

Hair flowing freely on her back, wearing a simple Plazo suit, she was looking simply beautiful. Mamta came forward in her automatic wheelchair and brought her to the living room. They made her sit in the middle on the sofa and then started the ritual. Mamta put the Chunri on head and then his family gave her the โ€˜Shagunโ€™ and temporarily booked her as their โ€˜daughter-in-lawโ€™.

The date was also decided, which was after 2 weeks. Everything was decided even before Dipanshiโ€™s consent. It seems like they were just waiting for her consent. The marriage ceremony was held privately. Only selective relatives were going to be invited to her wedding. The same day, Aditi, Mamta and Dipanshi went to market for shopping. They bought a few Sarees, Suits, and some clothes for family members and this process practiced till the end of the week. In the whole week they went to the shops daily, sometimes for her Bridal Dress, sometimes for her jewelleries, sometimes for their clothes.

When Somya got to know about her best friendโ€™s wedding she applied for a week leave and came to her house.

โ€œMeri Pyari Behaniya Banegi Dulhaniya, Lene Aayenge Dulhe Raja~~~~~~~ Toh Dulhan Sahiba, apne hone wale pati parmeshwar ke baare mein toh bata kuchhโ€ Somi said while jerking her like a maniac.

โ€œMeri Maa, Ruk ja thoda. Maar dalegi kya? Aur Pati Parmeshwarโ€ฆ.. Huh..! I said yes only because of my parents and his parents. You know, his mother is sooooo sweet. You know she was always there for me when โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€

โ€œAchcha baba, yeh emotional hone ki jarurat nahi hai. Yeh bata baat hui tere โ€˜AG, OG, SunoGโ€™ seโ€

โ€œWhatโ€™s there to talk about?โ€

โ€œWhat!! You didn't talk to him?? Dipu, you failed me. I am so disappointed in you. I never taught you this. Shame!!! Utter Shame!โ€ Said Somya, while shocking her head in disappointment.

โ€œShame? Disappointment? Ruk Mai batati hu tujheโ€ฆ.. ruk abhiโ€ฆ..โ€ saying this Dipanshi started chasing her with a pillow in her hand. She also threw some harmless things at her.

โ€œArre, photo toh hoga hi na? Woh hi dikha de kam se kam? Achcha Naam kya hai?โ€

Listening to her questions, Dipanshi remembered that she didn't tell her his name. 'Gayi bhains paani mein'. Hellโ€ฆ she's gonna feel hell.

โ€œUmmโ€ฆ somi, sun you are my cute, lovely, intelligent , best friend?โ€ Dipanshu tried to coo her so that she wouldn't get angry at her for this.

โ€œDipu! Kya baat haiโ€

โ€œHis name..โ€

โ€œYes, his name?โ€

โ€œRishi Mishraโ€

โ€œOkay Rishi Mishraโ€ฆ Riโ€ฆ..shiโ€ฆ. Misssshraaaaaaaโ€ฆ.. as in your professor?โ€

Obediently, Dipanshi bobbed her head.

โ€œOh my Holy moly poly !!โ€ Saying this she started laughing hysterically. Dipanshu didn't expect her this type of behaviour.

โ€œDipu, you are doomed(โ โ— ใƒฎโ— ) . Your maths professorโ€ฆ Oh my myโ€

โ€œSomi , just shut up. Ahhh, please yaar, not you. I am already sulking at this fact. You know I even thought that maybe he had another brother but to my dismay, he has a sister who is also a year younger. Moreover he was my professor, now, I am in masters.โ€

โ€œYou know, dipu, there's a song which will be perfect for you, let me play itโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ saying this Somya played 'Dil ke armaan aansuon mein beh gaye'

Anand Kashyap was sitting baffled beside Rishi. He was digesting the fact that his friend was going to get married in less than two weeks. When Dipanshi was selecting the rings for her with her and his mother, Rishi was also there. His mother called him there to select a ring for him and also for his size for his dresses.

Rishi's eyes stuck on the beautiful pendant, he without anyone noticed booked it secretly. Then he selected a ring and gave it to his mother, Aditi. Aditi, being disturbed with the sudden nudging looked at him and smiled when she learned what he was holding. She picked the ring and gave it to the Dipanshi and said, "Dipu, try this ring. I want to see how it looks on your fingers."

Obediently she hold it and put it in her ring finger as surprisingly it only fits on her ring finger.

At that time, Anand saw him with his mother and also a pair of mother-daughter. He couldn't say anything in front of his mother as he had to maintain his sweet and simple sanskari Indian man image. So, he called Rishi in this cafe and here they both were.

โ€œSaale!! You are getting married and you didn't have time to tell your this innocent friend.โ€

โ€œAnu, woh, actually everything was in such a hurry that I didn't get time to tell you. I swear I want to tell you but it just slipped out of my mind.โ€

โ€œSlippโ€ฆ slipped out of your mind. Kab batane wala tha, apne bachcho ke birthday par. Achcha hai tu yaha hai warna kabhi akele mein hota na toh woh haal karta na ki apni shakal dikhane se pehle sau baar sochta.โ€

โ€œAnu, don't you want to know about her?โ€ Rishi tried to distract him from his grumpy state.

Anand looked at him sideways and didn't say anything. Taking the opportunity, Rishi picked out his smartphone and opened the gallery. He showed him Dipanshi's photo with showing all his teeth and said, โ€œMeet Ms. Perfectโ€

โ€œWhat!? Msโ€ฆโ€ฆ.. Oh shitโ€ฆ you meanโ€ฆ.. no wayโ€ฆ.. Oh Myโ€ฆ.โ€ Anand was amazed to know that Ms. Perfect was going to be his sister-in-law. He was so much happy for his friend that he pounced on him and hugged him. He was half laying on him. If anyone would see them, they would think that they were following Article No. 377
