28. We Get Blinded

『 Bae's POV 』

I just wanted to stop sleeping altogether. I was dreaming again.

"The realm looks so pretty. It's been so long since it's looked like that." Calum said to Rhys.

"Too bad I'm stuck here," Rhys said. "Would've loved to see it."

"Yeah, I have to go. The old man wanted to have a talk with me."

"You think he knows?"

"Let's hope not," Calum said with a grave look. "I'd hate for Enya and Drayce to die. Not to forget those ten kids."

Rhys nodded in agreement.

"Bye bro, I'll keep you updated." Calum then disappeared into thin air.

The scene changed and I was in a place I hadn't seen before. It looked like the throne room of a castle.

"Mom! Dad! Kai stole my doll!" a young girl of about eight years of age whined.

"No, I didn't. Lynne is lying." a young boy, slightly older came running towards her.

"Lynne, sweetheart, your brother didn't steal your doll. It's been washed." The woman said.

"See," the boy practically screamed.

"I see you guys are ready. You know what day it is, right?" The man asked.

"Of course," the girl said. "It's Uncle Cad's birthday."
"Let's go meet him," the boy said. "I got him the best gift ever."

"My gift is better," the girl argued, and the two children walked away bickering. Their parents looked at them, with love and exasperation.

"I hope things never change," the women told her husband.

"Me too, love. Me too"

The scene changed once more. I was now in a very bright hall. It didn't seem like a memory, nor a vision like the other two. The faces and positions of the people kept changing like this scene had different outcomes.

"Alyonna, another one's dead."

"How much is it now?"

"Twenty this week, our highest yet."

"Total?"

"Since the unexpected increase from the past two months? That makes it a hundred and twenty seven."

"What do we do? I'm really scared"

"I don't know, Alyonna. We're all scared, too."

"I tried telling Cadmodeus. He didn't listen"

"What happened to him? He was so nice before"

"I really don't know"

All of a sudden the door opened.

"Help! I think we're being invaded!"

I woke up and the room was empty. Don't tell me they left without me.

I got dressed as quick as possible and opened the door only to see the rest of them already ready, waiting down there.

"She's finally awake, people!" Sunoo announced, jokingly. I went down and Jiwoo took me to the kitchen for breakfast.

"We need to be energized enough to go through the portal, according to Althea." She informed me as we walked towards the kitchen. I ate the food on the table and it was so filling.

"Did you have another dream?" She asked.

"Yeah," I answered.

"What was it about?"

"I don't really know. I saw the past and the present and maybe the future, I don't know."

"The future?"

"Yeah, I'm not sure if it was the future but it felt like it. Something was telling me it was the future, you know?"

"Damn, that's cool."

"Cool, scary, annoying. It can be described in a lot of ways."

The two of us finally reached the area where the rest were waiting.

"I'm sorry, guys. I've delayed us as always." I apologized.

"Don't apologize," Yuna said. "We all know you can't help it."

"Yeah," Sunghoon agreed. "Besides, you probably have some information as always."

"I suppose."

"Should we get going?" Althea asked. We all nodded and followed her. I don't know why but I felt like she was leading us to a trap or something. Or maybe I have watched too many movies.

"Here's the portal," she said and we were at a white doorway, which was literally glowing.

"Thank you for everything, Thea." Drayce said.

"Don't thank me. You're just heading to your deaths." Althea said. "The Realm of Light has been unstable for years now."

"Thanks for that morale boost," Ni-ki muttered and Althea must have heard, because she glared at him.

"Shall we go?" Drayce asked us. That was a rhetorical question, obviously. We were going anyway.

We just took turns walking in. I wonder what this realm will have in store for us.

『 Yuna's POV 』

I walked through the door and was almost blinded because of the extreme light. It was like someone was flashing a torch in right in front of my eyes. Huening Kai was next to me and I honestly thought that he was doing it.

"Fuck this! I can't see," I heard Ni-ki curse. Okay, so it wasn't Kai.

"Same here!" Jiwoo said.

Just then there was some sort of shade around us, or the place seemed to darken.

"I've blocked some of the light from reaching us," Kyujin said. "I don't know how long I can do this though."

"Then we'll have to find the stone as soon as possible." Sullyoon said, and obviously we all agreed.

"Kyu, can you sense the stone?" Sunoo asked.

"Yeah," she answered. "It's not too far from here."

She led the way and the rest of us followed. Soon we reached this super white building. Maybe it was made of white marble or something, but it was literally just emanating light.

"Is it in there?" Ni-ki asked.

"Yep," Kyujin answered.

"I sense something waiting for us there," Ni-ki informed.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I don't know. It's like some sort of precautions have been taken to protect the stone. Lot's of guards, different creatures. I can smell them, hear them, sense them." Ni-ki explained.

I tried to use whatever magic I had to see if there were some magical enchantments too. There were.

"Yep, lot's of magical shit in there." I told the rest.

"So, do we fight our way in?" Jungwon asked.

"Umm guys, in my dream, the realm has been facing many deaths. Maybe the precautionary measures are just to protect the people from whatever has caused the deaths of the people here." Bae spoke up.

"What else did you see?" Sunghoon asked.

"I saw the guardians talking, I saw Edlynne and Kai's childhood and I saw the people in this realm. They talked of an invasion, but I swear it felt like the future." I looked at Kai and Edlynne when she said that. They just looked at each other and I saw so many emotions pass through their faces in those few seconds of eye contact they made.

"Does that mean we're the invasion?" Jini asked.

"How should I know? My dreams never make sense."

"Let's just go through the door" Sullyoon said. They all looked at me.

"What?" I asked.

"An unlocking spell, dumbass. Do some alohamora shit." Sunoo said, rolling his eyes. I rolled my eyes in response to that too. But I used the spell anyway. The door opened quick enough. Too bad it set off the traps.

"We're cooked, y'all." I said.

"Why?" Kyujin asked.

"The traps have been set off, and we'll end up fighting a group of people." Ni-ki answered.

"How'd you know that?" Jiwoo asked.

"Why? Because it's happening right now."

The last thing I heard was "Attack!" and I was hit in the head.

I'm also so very sorry guys, but this'll be the last update for a while until the holidays
I have exams and tests and assignments and a full schedule
