Langa was bored so he did what he usually did when he was bored. Which was to text his crush and/or best friend, Reki.

He sent a simple "hey".

Langa went to scroll through other apps on his phone while waiting for Reki to respond.

Bzz~

Langa smiled when he heard his phone buzz. That means Reki responded. He probably would have died of boredom if he didn't. (Or maybe he was overreacting, who knows)

Langa opened his messaging app to read the message.

Reki ❤: Hey!!

Langa smiled even bigger. He loved talking to Reki. Face to face, on a phone call, or even through texting; he loved it all.

Another message appeared on his screen.

Reki :) ❤: wyd

Langa started typing, saying "nothing really", and then added a, "I miss you" after that.

Reki :) ❤: we just saw eachother earlier lmaoo I miss u too tho <3

Langa's hear fluttered at the fact that Reki said that he missed him. He even added a little heart!

He tried to not freak out about it because Reki would always text him stuff like that. It didn't really mean anything, he often told himself, but Langa couldn't stop his stomach from filling with butterflies.

Me: Guess what?

Reki :) ❤: Wot?

Langa hesitated to say what he wanted to, but he decided to anyway. Reki would always say things like what he was about to say, so why couldn't he?

Me: I love you so much :)

Langa didn't know it but Reki was freaking out after reading that little message.

|Reki's POV|

'HOLY SHIT!!! LANGA SAID HE LOVES ME?? HE SAID HE LOVES ME!! LANGASAIDHELOVESMELANGASAIDHELOVESMELANGASAIDHELOVESME SJSJSBSBHSH'

Reki knew he was blushing hard. His face felt so hot and he felt thousands of little butterflies having a war in his tummy.

Langa was confused, and a little worried.. why wasn't Reki responding?? Did he say something wrong?!?! Oh no, oh god, Reki was weirded out.. wasn't he? Oh shit.. ohshitohshitohshitohshitohshi-

Langa's thoughts were put on hold when he heard his phone buzz.

His heart rate picked up even more because of the anxiety he felt. He zoomed over to his phone to open Reki's text.

Reki ❤: aaa I love you more :)

Langa's felt like he was gonna pass out. Even a simple "I love you too" would make him go crazy. But the little "more" at the end of the sentence made Langa feel pure bliss. 'Reki loves me', he thought happily.

Langa would have left it as that -not wanting Reki to figure out that he likes him- but he decided to be brave for once.

"No that's impossible", he typed on the keyboard.

Langa thought that would be it. Reki would just laugh it off and then they would go onto a different topic, but no, reki sent a text that said,

"Hmmm? No.<3 I love you way more"

Langa was grinning down at his screen like an idiot, while it felt like butterflies were having a dance party in his tummy. He loved it though. He was loving everything about this moment.

Langa sent another text that read, "I love you the most tho so <3"

A few seconds later another message popped up on Langa's phone.

Reki❤: Uhh ofc but no because, I love you infinity<3

(A/N: THATS LITERALLY WHAT MY FRIEND SAID WORD FOR WORD AND AUTOMATICALLY MY BRAIN THOUGHT "omg I need to write a renga oneshot to this")

Langa was currently malfunctioning. He could barely think. Langa has never been this flustered before.

'God, I'm an idiot.. it's just a text.."

Langa quickly typed out a "fine let's call it even"

Reki❤: ugh fine 🙄☝️

Langa also said he was going to bed. It was late, he looked at the clock on his phone, 11:27pm it read. He really wasn't tired, but he didn't think he could talk to Reki properly anymore.

Langa tried to go to bed but his mind kept going back to the "I love you infinity<3", and then the butterflies would start dancing in his tummy again.

'God, I'm so in love with him'
