You were gliding in the air, looking for any worker drone that could be wandering around. With N flying by your side

Eventually you stopped at a place with a few old broken buildings, searching between them for something new or interesting.without getting too close, When suddenly, you heard a very loud crashing sound. You rushed to the way that the sound came from out of curiosity.

"...? GASP...!"

You saw N. Barely had escaped from the now collapsed building, he was on the ground, grunting in pain as he held on to his knees and covered himself with his wings, he looked badly injured...

"N!!!"
With your eyes hollowing. You immediately dashed to him and dragged him to a safe place, he held on to you for dear life, you sat him down against a wall of worker drone corpses, and frowned trying to think of what to do..

"..you went inside the building, didn't you?" You asked in disbelief. The old buildings on copper-9 that were created by humans would easily collapse(if they weren't collapsed already) since they were affected by the explosion incident, that's why you and your teammates never went too close to them, but looks like that was thrown out the window now.

N looked down in guilt "i-..I was looking for something important I dropped..but I guess that wasn't a good idea-..sorry.." he murmured,you kneeled next to him and hugged him gently, he returned the hug

After a few moments You pulled away and sighed "lets get you fixed.." you whispered as you picked him up, 'princess style' and all, he blushed slightly, he was kinda embarrassed that he had to be picked up like that, or that you're seeing a week side of him right now,but he felt safe...

On your way, you wondered what that important thing would have been so that he would risk his life for it, you immediately brushed it off,telling yourself that this isnt the time to be thinking about that.

You arrived at the landing pod and sat him on a chair,grabbing another one for you to sit,looking through your data files trying to find the instructions that the company gave you in case something like this ever happened, you then examined the broken parts that he had, his Core was kinda damaged, so thats why he didn't heal or regenerate immediately...

you grabbed a wrench and got closer to him "this might hurt a little..but it'll be fast like a needle appointment, I promise!" You reassured him, he had a few sweat drops appearing on his visor, showing how nervous he is.

"Ok. then...here, you can- hold my hand for comfort.." he looked back at you shyly offering your hand, he nodded slightly and held it, feeling a bit less nervous. You lifted the wrench with your other hand to his damaged core. You took a deep breath and rotated it a bit. Making him flinch in pain as he held your hand tighter, but it was over quickly so he was relieved.

You decided to stay with him until he gets better, giving him company and trying to ease his pain. He felt bad that you had to look after him but honestly the only thing you cared about is making sure he is safe and is healing. Besides, both of you were having fun just resting and chatting about stuff while you were tending to his broken parts.

After a few minutes you heard the voices of J and V counting how many workers they've killed today, they entered the room and watched the both of you in confusion.

V couldnt care less as she decided to leave and get some sleep, J scoffed "what problems did you get yourself into this time?" She says in an annoyed tone,as if N always gets himself in trouble like a baby, what a jerk.

"would you stop talking to him like this?? Also a building almost collapsed on him,it was my fault for not warning him. happy?" You replied coldly

"But- it wasn't your fau-"
"You should have just left him for dead, would make things much easier on us" J stated with a smug look on her screen, interrupting N.

"now you're REALLY getting on my nerves you little-"

"WHOA WHOA! ALRIGHT let's calm down a little..?" N started "I'm okay, really! Thank you for caring about me,Y/n. But fighting with J now doesnt sound like a good idea?" he said, with a tint of worry in his tone. He was smiling nervously as he was tugging on your sleeve, trying his best to stop you from attacking J.

You looked back at him and sighed,you glared at J one more time, then went back to the sitting position you were in. J rolled her eyes and left.

The both of you were quit for a moment, before you decided to break the awkward silence
"I'm sorry...it just really irritates me how they both treat you..you dont deserve any of that!" You spoke your mind

"Its okay! Besides, I dont care as long as I'm by your side! I'm just.. really grateful to have such a caring teammate..you're kinda the only one who treats me with kindness here, and I'm more than thankful for it.." he exclaims as his voice softens at the end, his smile is pure and kind.

You smiled back and rubbed the back of your neck, feeling flattered "thank you, N...I'm glad to be by your side as well!"

after some time the sun was rising, you both decided to go to sleep. though this time not the 'upside down vampire' style since N was still healing, and you didnt want to leave him for some reason

You helped him walk to his room, and he sat on the bed, you pulled the covers above him. he wanted to say something before laying down

"Y/n?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you...yknow, for everything"

You smiled softly, you thought for a moment before you quickly gave him a quick kiss on his forehead, a few blush lines appearing on his visor, he grabbed his pilot hat and lowered it on his face, hiding it in embarrassment.

You chuckled at his adorable reaction then wrapped your tail around a pipe on the roof, got into the upside down vampire position. carefully spreading your wings around yourself.

N laid down and pulled the covers closer to his face, looking at you and smiling happily, he seemed content and relaxed, you both locked eyes for a few moments

"Sweet dreams, N"

"Yeah...sweet dreams to you too, Y/n.."

You both entered sleep mode after a long day.

A purple haired worker drone was exploring an abandoned area, she tripped on something but stopped herself from falling. Looking down at what she tripped on, a rose that seems to be made out of metal and painted red could be seen, a paper wrapped around its stem, she curiously picked it up and opened the paper

'Thank you for always being by my side, will you accept my feelings?'
