My life has never exactly been uneventful or normal, I mean how could it be when your mother is a vampire and your father is the original hybrid? My parents got in a huge fight when they found out my mom was pregnant so she wound up moving to a town in California called beacon hills while my dad stayed in New Orleans.

My dad honestly couldn't care less about me. He only actually talks to me when he has a supernatural problem he needs fixed. The only members of that family I actually talk to are Kol and Marcel. They are the only mikaelsons that treated me like a member of that family and not an on call witch.

My mom and my father haven't talked in years, they only talk when klaus or any of the mikaelsons needed my powers, we've been living in beacon hills trying to have a semi normal life, well as normal a life you can have when your a hybrid in the McCall pack and a vampire in a town made of werewolves.

For once in my life I wasn't cleaning up their problems but I was helping my pack with theirs. Allison's grandfather just came into town, the hunters just declared war, there is a shapeshifting reptile running around, Lydia was bit but didn't turn and we don't know what she is now. And Derek is running around town turning teenagers into wolves.

"Skylar, hurry up or your going to be late!" Grace called out pulling the teenager out of her own world and back into reality skylar sighed and closed her journal then got up and got dressed before she headed to school.

Skylar was watching the lacrosse practice as Scott tackled every player and not so subtly smelled them. After the third guy she walked over to stiles at the back of the line "what the hell is wrong with Scott?" She asked.

"We have a plan." He nodded and Skylar looked at him like he was an idiot "Lockwood!" Coach yelled and she looked over at him "what the hell are you doing?" "Um, observing?" She asked "I'll go sit down." She said before she walked away.

Scott and a tall blonde kid with blue eyes  ran into each other and when they looked up they both had glowing yellow eyes.

Sheriff stilinki and a few deputy's walked up and started talk to the kid Scott tackled named Isaac while all the other players walked off the field.

The brunett walked over to Scott and stiles who are staring at Issac. "His father is dead. They think he was murdered." Scott told them.

Sheriff started walking away with Issac "are they saying he's a suspect?" Stiles asked "I'm not sure why?" Scott asked as Skylar and he listened to the cops talk "they can hold him in a holding cell over night." Stiles told them "How good are holding cells at holding people?" She asked.

"people? Good. Werewolves on the full moon? Not so good." Stiles sighed "me and Skylar may not have the urge to maim and kill, but he does." Scott said as they stared at the tall werewolf.

Skylar was walking down the hall when Scott and stiles came up to her "Sky, come with us." They said and walked away "why?" She asked "just come on." Stiles sighed. They sat outside the principles office and listen to Jackson and the sheriff talk.

"Wait, so are you telling me you knew Issac's father was hitting him?" Sheriff asked
"hitting him? He was kicking the crap out of him." Jackson replied
"did you ever say anything to anyone?" Sheriff replied "Nope. Not my problem." Jackson said carelessly "No, no of corse not. I think we're done here."

Sheriff walked out and stiles hid behind a magazine. "Hi Scott, Skylar." He sighed.

  "Hi." They replied and he walked away.
Just before the principle came out Skylar's phone buzzed and she went into panic mode "what's wrong?" Scott asked "hmm? Nothing I have to go. Good luck"

She walked outside the school and answered her phone "given the fact that your actually talking to me I'm going to guess all hell has broken loose and you expect me to sweep in and solve your problems." She snapped.

"woah. No need to get snippy little sister." A voice she knew all to well sang down the phone "what is it Marcel?" She asked calmer "I need you help." He pleaded "with..." she trailed off "saving hope." He sighed "who in the hell is hope?" She asked "you... you don't know about..." he stuttered.

As they were talking Scott ran up to her and they saw Isaac get driven away in a cop car. All of a sudden Derek came speeding up "Marcel we need to finish this later." She told him and hung up before he could reply.

"Get in." Derek told the teens "are you serious? You did that. That's your fault." Scott stated "I know that." Derek sighed "Now get in the car and help me. Both of you."  "No, I've got a better idea, we're going to call a lawyer because they actually have a chance of getting Isaac out before the full moon." Skylar glared.

  "not when the do a real search of the house. Look what ever Jackson told the cops, what's in the house is worse." He told them and they sighed but still got in the car.

Derek lead the teens through Isaacs house and to the basement door. "What's down here?" Skylar asked as we walked down the stairs "motive." Derek replied simply "what are we looking for?" Scott asked.

"follow your senses." Derek told them "this is so creepy." She whispered as they looked through the basement. Scott found scratch marks on the floor and Skylar found a freezer "open it." Derek said.

She pulled the lock off and opened the freezer, it was covered in scratches like someone was trying to claw their way out.

"This is why he said yes to you." Scott said in realization "everyone wants power." Derek shrugged "if we help you, you have to stop, you can't just run around turning every loner teen you see." Skylar demanded.

"I can if their willing." Derek shot back "Did you tell issac about the hunters?" Scott asked "yes and he still asked." Derek said in a bored tone "then he's and idiot." Scott sighed
"and your the idiot dating argents daughter." Derek shot back "I know your little secret, how long do you think it's going to be before they find out?"

"Wait." Scott called when Derek went to leave "Were not part of your pack, but I want him out." Scott told him "why?" Derek asked "because he's like us?" "No." Scott replied "because he's innocent." Skylar finished.

Skylar went home and noticed her mom was still out. She locked the door and walked into the cellar in the basement. She stripped and threw her clothes out of the cellar before she walked in and locked the door, she sat down and looked at the moon.

She anxiously tapped her hand against her leg when she felt her bones breaking causing her to scream in pain, after about 2 minutes her screams turned into howls.

Skylar  woke up feeling the sun light beaming in through the window "I'm sorry I missed your shift." Grace said. Skylar rolled over and noticed grace had put a sheet on her while she was asleep "it's fine mom. Besides I'm kinda happy I did this on my own."

"Well, I'll be upstairs. Come up when your dressed we need to talk." Grace said in a serious tone. Skylar walked up stairs as she pulled her windbreaker on. "What's wrong?" She asked "you know how I'm having a witch make the moonlight rings for you right?" She asked and Skylar nodded.

"well they won't be ready for a month, so you will have to turn next month." Grace said as Skylar sighed and flopped down on the couch "we need the power of the full moon and we didn't have the stones this month. But next month will be the last month you will have to turn I promise." She explained and Skylar nodded.

"I need to shower and get ready for school." Skylar told her as she walked up stairs "love you." She called "love you." Skylar called back.

AN — This is set in TO season one so hayley is still pregnant. Most of the season is going to stay the same but I'm going to move some stuff around in it. And they already decided to name her hope, and Kol never died in TVD but Finn did.
