As the day grew tonight, fighting continued. Aliyah was brought back to safety, this time Paul stayed with her. Gurney stayed with some of the troops, the last of the Sardauker attacking them. He even managed to kill Glossu Rabban, the older nephew of the now dead Baron.

They slept for hours. Aliyah knew she shouldn't have been that exhausted since she wasn't even fighting, but she was. She was tired.

They woke earlier than they ever had here on Arrakis. The hot sun had barely reached the sky as they all made their way to the large open part of the temple.

As they made it inside, Aliyah gripped the long green float dress she was wearing. She had a small veil covering her face due to the sand still surrounding them outside.

Paul smiled at her nervous state, leaning down a little to press a gentle kiss on her forehead "All will be well liyah" he promised.

She watched him walk over to stilgar and a few other Fremen warriors. She saw Jessica and quickly walked over to her.

She sat in the empty seat beside the elder woman. Jessica looked at her and said nothing but took her hand in hers, rubbing it softly, trying to calm Aliyahs worries.

After a minute of talking with Jessica Paul came back over to her, taking her arm and helping her stand up. He smiled gently at her. "Come on, I wanna talk to you before they get here"

He led her to a quiet corner of the room, and she sighed at the comfort of getting to be alone with him again.

He placed a gentle hand on her cheek his thumb trailing along it. She swallowed "This isn't over yet..is it?"

"Don't worry" he whispered.

"I do. I do Paul" she said breathlessly.

He looked down at her with sadness. He wishes she never had to go through all this pain and suffering, just to be free and happy.

"No matter what happens... I love you so much" she whispered, tears in her eyes.

He nodded his head in dissaproval "Don't you talk like that Liyah. I'd never dare leave you. Even when I die.. which won't be for a while" he laughed before continuing "My soul will haunt your own"

She sighed as their foreheads met. Their eyes closing, trying to get as close as possible, trying to make the moment last longer.

At the noise of the large doors opening, Paul pulled away kissing her softly "I love you" he whispered in her ear before she was brought back to her seat by the Fremen.

As Paul walked over to the group of Fremen, he was faced away from the door. The emperor walked in. Many Sardauker surrounding him.

"There is a massed armada in orbit" The emperor began.

Aliyah noticed the Reverend Mother watching Jessica with hatred and disgust, her eyes then landed on Aliyah who quickly looked away from the older wicked woman.

"Your facing a full invasion Fremen" He added, making Paul eventually turn around, revealing his identity to them.

"How can you be so sure the Great houses are here for me? They may be curious to hear my side of the story, don't you think?" Paul asked walking up to the man.

"I am Paul Atreides, son of Leto Atreides, Duke of Arrakis" Paul said, his voice now getting louder.

"Gurney?" Paul called.

"My lord" Gurney answered quickly.

"Send a warning to all ships, if the great houses attack, our atomically will obliterate all spice fields" Paul said.

"Your out of your mind" The emperor said staring at him.

"He's bluffing" Feyd commented with a sly smirk.

"Consider what your about to do Paul Atreides-"
The Reverend mother began but was cut off.

"Silence" Paul yelled at the old woman using the voice sending her stumbling backwards.

"Abomination" the reverend mother whispered while she was held up by younger bene Gesserits.

"Message sent my lord" Gurney said as he walked back to his place.

"As a servant of the imperium, you will bow at my feet" the emperor said with pure rage.

"Your feet?! You'll be lucky to keep your head!" Paul yelled.

"I am willing to spare your daughter" Paul began.

These words made Aliyah happy. Princess Irulan seemed like a kind woman, she didn't deserve to be killed due to her fathers unspeakable actions.

"But you have to answer on the death of my father" Paul spat looking back at the emperor.

"Do you know why I killed him? I killed him because he was a man who believed in the rules of the heart. But.. the heart is not meant to rule. In other words, your father was a weak man" The emperor said.

Aliyah had never wanted to kill someone more than right now. He dared do all those horrible things to the Atreides family, and then say Leto was a weak man.

"He was more of a man than you'll ever be" Aliyah spat with rage on her face.

The emperor smirked at her, finding her sentence amusing.

"Stand or choose your champion" Paul said staring at the man with no emotion.

"I am here Atreides. I need a blade" Feyd Rautha announced stepping forward.

Aliyah swallowed. Feyd rautha was known around the galaxy for his ruthlessness. He killed for fun, he killed a lot.

She watched Paul walk over to gurney nodding his head at Feyd. From what she could tell Gurney was trying to convince him to stop the fight. He eventually gave up and walked back to Stilgar.

"Why does he take such risks?" Gurney said in dissaproval.

"Muad'Dib leads the way" Is all stilgar replied.

Paul locked eyes with Aliyah who looked like she could be sick at any moment. He nodded his head at her. He stood in a fighting position pulling his blade from behind his back, holding it readily.

"I'm happy to finally meet you, cousin" Paul said.

"Cousin? Is that right? Well, you wouldn't be the first relative I've killed.

Paul didn't retaliate the bickering "May thy knife chip and shatter" Paul said moving his knife across his chest, then forehead.

Feyd smirked "May thy knife chip and shatter" he said in a mocking tone.

And just like that he fighting began. As soon as they started you could tell either one could win. They matched with others skill easily.

They pushed, shoved, kicked and punched just as good as the last. The sparring kept going until Feyd knocked over Paul.

As he was on the ground Paul stared at Aliyah who looked like she was about to cry with worry. Feyd noticed their silent gaze and laughed "She's your woman? Maybe I'll take her as my wife after a kill you" he smirked.

Paul had heard enough and lunged forward, the fighting then continued, that was until Feyd had stabbed Paul in the lower stomach. Aliyah gasped holding her hand to her mouth in shock and worry.

Feyd walked over holding the knife, one hand on Paul's shoulder and one pressing the knife closer and closer to Paul's heart.

They stayed like that for a moment, until a groan was heard from them both. Due to their closeness, you couldn't tell who had been hurt.

Aliyah felt her heart in her throat, she watched as Paul pulled away, revealing he had stabbed Feyd in the chest. She let out a sigh she didn't know she had been holding in.

Feyd sighed, his lips quivering as he slowly began to die, not before he could whisper "You fought well Atreides"

Paul grunted pulling out the knife from him, his body falling to the ground with a thud. There was a moment of silence until Stilgar yelled.

"Lisan Al-Gain!"

Soon the entire room was chanting those words, and Aliyah couldn't believe they had actually won, the Fremen were, for now at least Free

Once the room had quietened down, Paul sighed pulling a knife out of his shoulder. He tossed it on the floor, with a bang.

Paul, with blood all over him, walked over to Aliyah. She hugged him gently, not wanting to hurt him. He kissed her temple then took her hand, leading her over to the emperor.

"The life death has been paid..please, spare my father" Irulan begged.

Paul looked over to Aliyah and she nodded, as if agreeing with Irulans words. He held out his spare hand, expecting the emperor to take it and kneel before him.

When the emperor only stared at his hand Paul kicked the ground as a warning. The emperor reluctantly bowed, making everyone in the room bow to him and Aliyah.

"My lord, the great houses have answered. They refuse to honour your ascendancy" Gurney announced.

Aliyah looked up at Paul who just brushed sole hair out of her face.

"We await your orders, Lisan Al-Gaib" Stilgar added, and everyone stood.

Paul looked at the ground for a minute, thinking about what to say "Lead them to paradise" he said.

With that all the Fremen cheered, getting ready to get again fight and attack the other great houses.

As the room began to empty Paul took Aliyah into his arms kissing the top of her head "You scared me" she whispered.

He only hummed in response. He then leaned down and kissed her. Her head tilted slightly to deepen the kiss as his hands went around her body, before he pulled away to place a soft kiss on her neck.

"Paul?" She asked.

"Yes my love" he answered quickly.
