Two weeks later, the Atreides house were getting ready to make their departure to Arrakis. Paul and Aliyah were outside, on one of the mountains, watching as a big ship emerged from the water, they took in their surroundings, knowing they wouldn't see grass or water for a very long time.

Paul stood, slowly walking a bit, holding his hand out for Aliyah "let's go" he said with a sad tone. She nodded, clearly not happy with their departure, but they knew it was not up to them, so slowly, hand in hand they walked back.

They walked down to the beach, both placing their hands in the water of the rock pools, before standing up and watching the sunset, Aliyah lay her head on Paul's shoulder, sighing knowing they wouldn't see Caladan again for a very, very long time.

They next day, the boarded the ship, the journey didn't take too long. All the members of the house and the soldiers stood, waiting for the ship to land. Paul took Aliyahs hand in his, sharing one last look, before the ship landed.

She smiled at him, through her teal coloured veil, her brown her slightly hidden. The doors suddenly opened, revealing a hot, bright sun, with sand and wind.

Aliyah took in a deep breath, the wind blowing her veil, as they began to walk off the ship, the bagpipes playing as they did.

Paul and Aliyah walked out, hand in hand, looking at their surrounding, taking in their new home. Paul spotted Thufir, and dragged Aliyah over with him to say hello.
"Thufir Hawat!" He said hugging the man.

"Young master, lady Aliyah" he said smiling at them. "How does it feel to walk on a new world?" He asked them.

"Exciting, to say the least" Paul answered
Thufir then bowed to Leto and Jessica, showing them his respect. They continued to walk, hand in hand before they noticed some Fremen yelling at them.

"Lisan al-Gaib, nuruh!" They yelled, pointing at that two. They shared a glance, clearly both confused. The yelling only got louder as almost all the crowd was chanting it. Some were even on their knees.

"Paul" Aliyah whispered, grabbing his arm as they walked. "It's alright" he said looking down at her.

"Don't be fooled by the welcome, they follow their old masters rules. Mandatory attendance, that's Harkonnen love out there" Thufir told them as they climbed into the ship.

Once they had sat down, the doors closed and thufir said "let's get you out of the sun. The heat can kill in this place" he said as they began to take off.

"They were pointing at us, what are they shouting" Paul's asked. Jessica turned and said "Lisan al-Gaib, voice from the outer world. And Nuruh, means his light" she said

Aliyah sat up now very invested."It's they name for Messiah, and the one at his side, keeping him who he is" she says

"It means the Bene Gesserit have been at work here" she added."Planting superstitions?"Paul  asked.

"Preparing the way, Paul. These people have waited for centuries for the Lisan al-Gaib and his Nuruh. They see you two, they see the signs" she says.

"They see what they've been told to see" Paul said Jessica said nothing, glancing at Aliyah one last time before the helicopter started to fly away.

Later that day, once all the family were settled in, Paul asked Aliyah if she would like to join him for a walk, which of course she agreed to.

The walked outside the main gates, near the palm trees, hand in hand. There was Fremen in the dungeons yelling at them.

"Lisan, lisan al-Gaib, Nuruh!" They yelled, freaking out Aliyah, as she looped her arm in Pauls. They noticed a man putting water into the palm trees.

"Hello" Paul said, and Aliyah waved to the unknown man. "You two shouldn't be out here at this hour of the day" he said before going back to what he was doing.

"They're out here" Aliyah said pointing to the Fremen."Fremen pilgrims, they'd ont care about heatstroke" he said. "I didn't know that palms could even be found out here" Paul said touching one.

"Oh, these aren't indigenous. They can't survive without me. Each one of these, drinks everyday the equivalent of five men. Twenty palm trees, a hundred lives" he said.

"Should we remove them? Save the water?" Paul asks. "No, no, no, these are sacred, old dream" he said.

After that the two headed back inside, the heat becoming unbearable. They went into Paul's room, listening to audios about sand worms.

Paul sat against the wall, watching the projection, with Aliyahs head on his lap, her eyes closed. After a moment Paul sat up, motioning Aliyah to do the same, he pointed at the little desert mouse on the projection making her smile.

Paul turned his head, his smile being replaced by a serious look. He saw a little bug like machine, burning through the wall, then flying inside, making no noise whatsoever. It was clear it was here to do harm to them.

Paul motioned Aliyah to not talk by placing his finger over her lips, she felt her heart racing, she was scared.

He grabbed her hand, making them walk behind the projection. The little bug stopped suddenly, making Paul pull Aliyah against his chest, to make her stop shaking. She rested her head against his chest, trying her best to calm down.

The bug suddenly flew straight in front of Paul, resting directly in front of his eyes, to see if he moved. Just then the door opened and Paul moved just as the bug went forward, catching it and crushing it against the wall.

A handmaiden came in, shocked holding towels for the two. "It's a hunter-seeker, the operator must be nearby." Paul said and the handmaiden nodded running to tell the guards.

NPaul turned to see Aliyah stood in place, shaking. He walked over to her and hugged her tightly "Hey, it's alright. I wouldn't have let it hurt you" he told her. She nodded before pulling away and kissing his cheek.

"I just worry for you" she whispered taking his hand and leading them out the door.

The next day, Aliyah was getting a tour of the temple, by her handmaidens and a few guards, they were currently in the landing spot for helicopters as well as machinery.

She walked along, bored out of her mind. Paul had gone to his first meeting with his father and the other men.

She looked up seeing a helicopter land, as well as that she saw Paul, she ran over to him, ignoring the shouts of the man giving the tour.

"Paul!" She yelled, her blue dress and veil, blowing in the wind. He turned away from Gurney and saw her, he walked to meet her halfway. She ran up to him and jumped into his arms.

"Please save me from the tour, it's a bore" she begged, her lips pouted as she still clung to him.
"I'm sure father won't mind you coming with us to see the harvesters" he said, before putting her down onto the sand.

"Is that Duncan!" She yelled, grabbing Paul's hand as they went to great him, both hugging him as he got out the helicopter.

"How my two young lovers?" He asked
"I told you to stop that" paul said with a glare. Duncan constantly teased the two about their crushes on each other, it was too obvious not to.

"Ew, you stink" Aliyah yelled, jumping backwards, her back bumping into Paul's chest as he towered over her.

"Let's go inside" Duncan says.

The went into the throne room, they all stood behind Leto as Duncan explained about his journeys with the Fremen.

Aliyah leaned into Paul's side listening to his stories. "They fight like demons" he said, making Aliyah become nervous once more.

"Thank you Duncan" Leto said. "My lord" Duncan nodded back in response.
"Sire" a man called from the large doors.

"The leader has a knife he won't surrender, sire" he added. "It's crysknife, it's sacred to his people" Duncan explained.

"Let him pass" Leto announced. The doors opened, revealing a man who come walking him very fast, ignoring the calls from Gurney to stop.

His blue eyes looked up, admiring his surroundings, especially the two young people in the room. "Stilgar" Leto began.

"Welcome" he said "Sir I respect the personal dignity of any man that respects mine" Leto said
Stilgar thinks for a moment, looking him up and down, before spitting on the ground.

Gurney reaches out his knife before Duncan says "Hold". "Thank you stilgar, for the gift of your bodies moisture. We accept it in the spirit of which it was given" Duncan says, spitting on the ground as well.

Leto gives Duncan a "are you serious?" Look before eventually spits too before continuing.
"I'm glad you've come"

"I believe your people and mine, have much to offer one another" Leto adds. Stilgar disagrees before saying that they were only here for spice, and they never keep their promises, talking about the previous Harkonnens. "That's true" Paul says simply.

"Name what you want, if it's in my power I'll give it and ask for nothing" Leto says."I ask for this, do not seek our sietches, do not trespass our land. The desert was ours long before you came. So come and dig your spice, but when you have it, go back to this side of the shield wall, and leave the desert to the Fremen." Stilgar announced

"You will address the Duke as my lord or sire" Gurney says. "Gurney just....just a moment. The emperor has given me Arrakis as my fief to rule and protect. I cannot promise not to travel into the desert, if duty compels me. But your sietches will forever be yours. And you will never be hunted while  I govern here" Leto says.

"That very honourable, I must go. That's all I have to say to you" Stilgar says turning back around. "Wont you stay?" Paul asks
"We would honour you" Aliyah adds

"Honour requires that I be elsewhere" stilgar says before speaking in Chakobsa."I recognise you two" and then leaving.

Paul and Aliyah looked at one another, understanding his words, confusion lingering in both of their minds.

Later that day, they all changed into stillsuits, preparing to go into the desert."They walked up to a woman, who looked to be native Fremen by her clothes, but spoke as any other Atreides or other house.

"Your the imperial ecologist" Aliyah said.
"Thank you for the stillsuits" Paul added."They are of Fremen make. The best. With your permission sire I must check the integrity of your suit-" she was cut off when all the guards out knifes to her throat as she had walked up to him very quickly.

Aliyah placed her hand on Paul's bicep, shock taking over her. "Woah, it's alright" Leto says and the men out their knifes away."Dr kynes, we're in your hands" He adds

She then checks all their suits, explains how the suits recycle your bodies water. When she reaches Paul and Aliyahs suits, she stops

"You two have, worn a stillsuits before?" She  questions "No this is our first time" Aliyah tells her

"Your desert boots are both fitted slip-fashion at the ankles. Who taught you to do that?" She questions the two.

"It seemed the right way" Paul says
She then mutters something in Chakobsa which in English meant "they shall know your ways as though born to them" making Paul look down at Aliyah.

"Are you Fremen?" Paul asks her "I am accepted in both sietch and village. Now, come and see the spice sands, on which your livelihood depends.

About 30 minutes later they had boarded the helicopter and flown out into the deep desert.
Aliyah a looked out the window, admiring the sand dunes that were all around her.

"What would you do if your ornithopter were down out there? She asked "You wouldn't want to go down out there. It's worm territory."Kynes answered.

They then spotted one of the harvesters, working away below them. They flew higher, when suddenly Leto spotted a worm, dr Keynes called them on the com, letting them know that one was coming. She explained that they'd call a carryall the come and pick up the harvester.

Once the carryall went down, they noticed one of the anchors was broken. They started to panic, calling all carryalls available, but none were close enough "How many men on that harvester?" Leto asked

"Crew of 21" Dr kynes answered back immediately."We can take six each" Leto responded. "That's still 3 short" Paul said.

"We'll find a way" Leto said before launching the vehicle down towards the sand. They landed, all jumping out to help.

"Paul, Aliyah, I want you two at the back of the ornithopter, guide them in" he told him.

Paul and Aliyah walked out, Paul kneels down touching the sand, admiring the spice in it.
"Aliyah stay here" Paul instructs, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

She nods as she watches him instruct the men to boars the ships, suddenly a wave of sand engulfs him. He lifts down his mask, beginning to have a vision yet again. He drops to his knees, the spice becoming to much for him.

Paul sits, staring at the machinery in front of him, as flashes of Aliyah pop up in his mind, she was wearing a flowing dress, looking up at him, her skin more tanned than it is now, and her eyes were blue. He could stay like this forever.

Gurney runs out to get him, Aliyah running too, despite the yells at her not to.

Gurney gets there first, shaking him, trying to wake him up from what looked like a dream. He shoved him grabbed him, but nothing would I wake him up. Aliyah finally made her way to them, and as soon as she placed her hand on Paul's shoulder he woke up, whispering her name as he did.

"Let's go!" Gurney yelled as he shoved both of them, the three of them running to the ship. Once the worm broke through the sand, the ground shook and they all fell onto the hands and knees.

"Come on" Paul yelled seeing the shop now in front of them. He yanked up Aliyah, and Gurney jumped up too. Gurney got to the shop first, and grabbed onto a handle, his other hand gripping Paul's. Paul's other hand was around Aliyahs waist, as they held eachother tightly, and she tried no to cry at her near death experience.

On the way back, Aliyah lay her head on Paul's, both too shocked to speak. Once arriving home, the two walked together hand in hand, until Leto walked up to Paul, yelling at him for staying out in the sand.

After that Aliyah asks "Did you have a vision Paul?" He looks back at her for a moment before finally saying.
