BORIS LOVES Y/N, so much, that he doesn't want to push her completely out of his life. He thinks that if he confesses to the girl, he'll lose her. He thinks that she won't want to be friends with him anymore. He'd rather spare his friendship, rather than his love.

It's funny, because Y/N feels the same way. All they need is a little push in the right direction. All they need is someone to tell them how much they need each other; how much they love each other.

Boris thinks that if he ignores Y/N, his feelings will go away. The love he feels for the girl is unlike anything else he's ever felt. With Y/N he's not his normal, flirty self. He knows that his relationship with her is much more valuable than any relationship (besides Theo) he's had before.

"Hey Boris, hey Theo!" Y/N greets, a bright smile displayed on her lips. She's feeling good from her interaction with her father the night before. Theo waves, and Boris just gulps. He wants to say "hi" back, but he has to ignore her, just until he loses feelings for the girl. Y/N frowns a little because Boris didn't respond, but nonetheless, she continues walking with Boris and Theo. All of a sudden, the bell rings, indicating that it's time for first period. Boris leaves without another word, and Y/N furrows her brows.

"What's got his panties in a wad?" asks Y/N. Theo laughs, and replies with, "Don't know. He's just being...Boris." Y/N simply shrugs it off, and heads to class.

Lunch isn't supposed to be awkward...but this time, it is. Boris isn't eating anythingโ€”partially because of the guilt he feels for ignoring Y/Nโ€”and he's sitting across from Y/N. Theo is sitting next to Y/N, gingerly fiddling with his fingers. Y/N looks around, trying to forget about the tension in the air, and Boris just stares off into space.

"So..." Theo begins, not really continuing his statement.

"So...?" Y/N urges on, silently begging he breaks the thick, heavy, tension in the air. Theo clears his throat, and stops fiddling his fingers.

"So...how was class...?" Theo asks as a pathetic attempt to start conversation.

"Good," Y/N answers. Boris let's out an exasperated sigh, before replying with, "Fine."

"So he speaks," Y/N jokes, with a chuckle. Her quiet laughter soon becomes nonexistent when she finds that Boris is, indeed, not laughing. She clears her throat once again. "sorry."

"Look, I go take walk. See you guys tomorrow," Boris states, before dramatically getting up, and walking off. Y/N feels her heart drop. 'Is this my fault?' Y/N asks herself.

"It's not your fault," Theo says, almost as if he read the girls mind. "don't mind him, he's just being moody. When he's ready to talk to us about what he's so frustrated about, he will."

"Okay then," Y/N answers, still feeling a bit skeptical. 'Maybe this has something to do with his father,' Y/N thinks to herself. Though, she knows that it's not. Her intuition is telling her that whatever he's so moody about...has to do with her.

"Hey kiddo," Y/N father greets as the girl enters her home. Y/N smiles, and says, "Hey dad."

"So...I've got some news," her father says, a giddy smile displayed on his lips.

"Okay?" Y/N responds.

"I've been thinking about spreading your mothers ashes," Y/N's father says. Y/N's heart stops. 'Do...what?!' Y/N thinks. It's then that she feels the weight of the world fall on her shoulders. Boris won't even look at her, her father wants to spread her mothers ashes, and she's not even at peace with her mothers death.

"I just thought it would be a step in healing, you know? Maybe it could help us be...okay," her father continues. Y/N just stares at the man with a blank expression.

"Y/N? You good? I-" Y/N cuts the man off. "Yeah, fine, just...tired." With that the girl runs to her room and silently closes the door. 'What the hell is happening?' she asks herself.
