once y/n was up and ready for school and had gotten all dressed (she decided to look extra good today so she can impress someone), she went over to armin's dorm. it was everyone's meeting spot. they all enjoyed to walk to school together, since it was really close to the dorms, and armin's dorm was where they met up to do so every morning.
"well well well, if it isn't y/n looking all fancy." ymir smirked, as she watched y/n walk over to the group, scanning her outfit in the process.
"what, are you and hange going on a date after this or something?" jean snorted
"oh my god they DEFINETLY are!" connie and sasha said in sync, before they both bursted out laughing high-fiving each other.
"guys, we're gonna be late for class," armin mumbled. "and y/n, i think you have a nice outfit."
"thank you armin." you smiled at the blonde, before you began to walk down with her group.
"by the way, im just saying, if hange messes with you, then she's gonna have to take these fists on!" eren exclaimed, saying his first words of the morning.
"i agree with eren." mikasa stated calmly.
instead of replying to them, y/n brushed it off, because she was staring at something else, stationed at the entrance of the college. it was hange and levi, her "shorty". they were talking to a blonde woman, who also looked to be a college student. she had short hair and what looked to be an undercut. hange was laughing and, was she blushing?
it was then that y/n locked eyes with hange for a split second, and she could see the sparkle in the tall woman's eyes. a weird feeling overcame y/n once she locked eyes with the other, as if a knot formed in her stomach.
"hey-" hange started, as they slowly walked over to y/n and her group.
though, the brunette was quickly swiped away and distracted by the other blonde, who continued cracking jokes and making conversation, which diverted hange's attention from y/n back to the other woman.
irritated, y/n brushed it off and lead her group past hange and over to the hallways, at an attempt to pretend like that moment never happened.
knowing that her group had probably already caught on about her discomfort due to the situation, y/n decided it was best to just brush it off again like nothing happened before they asked too many questions.
"see you guys at lunch." y/n huffed, before giving the group a reassuring smile, walking off to her first class, hiding her melancholy emotions.
she didn't look back once to see if hange was staring, even though she wanted to, because she didn't want to hurt herself. y/n wasn't dumb, and she could already tell that the blonde had feelings for hange, and was doing everything she could to keep her away from anyone else.
neither did she look back to check if her group had caught on to the sticky situation that had just happened moments before.
--
during class, all y/n could do was think of hange and for some reason...that other girl. it was very wrong for y/n to feel this way, especially after she just met hange. it had only been a day or so. she didn't know hange that well anyway, maybe they had a girlfriend and never told y/n.
"maybe it was just a platonic kind of jealousy that hange was making new friends?" y/n thought.
"no, thats fucking stupid."
y/n was snapped out of her thoughts when she got called on in class, to which she quickly answered the question before sinking back into her daydreams and scenarios about hange and the blonde woman.
it was then that the bell rang, and her next class had been science.
with hange.
