"pictures of last night ended up online, I'm screwed oh, well"

i woke up in the morning feeling extremly hungover, not remembering aything expect for that i was at a party last night. i didn't even checked the time i just ran to the bathroom as soon as i felt probably everything that i had drunk yesterday come back up. i was kneeling in front of the toilet as i heard tara come up behind me, holding my hair up and tying it into a loose bun. she started rubbing my back as she was asking me if i needed anything.

"i don't know. do we have a medicine for being hungover?" i asked her while holding my face in my hands. she paused, then answered. "we have meclizine." and with that she walked out of the bathroom and i heard her searching in the kitchen for the medicine.

after a while, I didn't feel like throwing up that much anymore. I slowly stood up, washing my face and taking a long drink of water to try and rehydrate. I sat on the edge of the bathtub, feeling the cold tile against my hot skin, when tara came back in, holding a glass of water and two pills.

"here, take these," she said gently, handing me the medicine. I took them, grateful for the relief. "you look like you had a rough night." I sighed, taking a small sip of water. "yeah, I guess you could say that. I don't even remember most of it." tara raised an eyebrow. "so what do you remember?"

"uh, there was that game we played... truth or dare, I think?" I said, trying to piece together fragments of memories. "and then there was a body shot... with aubrey."

I couldn't help but blush a little at the memory. tara's eyes widened. "a body shot? with Aubrey? tell me everything!" I winced at the intensity of her curiosity. "tara, I really don't feel like rehashing last night right now. my head's about to explode." she ignored my plea and plopped down on the floor beside me, her eyes wide with anticipation. "come on, ari. I need details. was it as scandalous as it sounds? i wasn't on a party for once and i miss out on this."

I took a deep breath, trying to ignore the throbbing in my temples. "okay, okay. so we were playing truth or dare, and jamie dared aubrey to do a body shot. and, well, aubrey picked me for it." tara's eyes sparkled. "ooh, and what happened? did you guys have a steamy moment?" she winked at me several times after each other.

I let out a groan, trying to push the memory out of my mind. "I guess you could say that. aubrey sprinkled salt on me, licked it off, and then took the shot." tara's eyebrows shot up. "how did that feel?" I blushed, the memory making me squirm. "It was... well, let's just say it was a lot more intense than I expected." tara was practically bouncing with excitement. "and then what? did she say anything to you afterward?" I looked away, trying to hide my embarrassment. "not really. she just got off the counter and we went back to the game."

tara's grin was practically ear-to-ear. "wow. that sounds like quite the party moment. were there any sparks? you know what i mean." I hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "It was kind of a big deal at the time, but I don't think it meant anything serious." tara looked at me skeptically. "are you sure? I mean, body shots can be pretty intimate. do you think aubrey was into you?" I sighed, rubbing my temples. "I don't know, tara. It was just a game. plus, I'm not even sure what she was thinking. we were all a bit tipsy."

tara looked at me with an inquisitive expression. "but you did seem to have a moment when you were doing the shot. was there any eye contact? did she seem like she wanted more?"

"there was eye contact, but I don't know what it meant. I'm not even sure what I was thinking at the time." tara leaned closer, her eyes locked on mine. "okay, okay. I just had to ask. but you have to admit, it was a pretty memorable moment." I nodded slowly, trying to avoid her intense gaze. "yeah, it was memorable. now can we please talk about something else?"

tara laughed and patted my shoulder. "alright, sure. I'll let it go for now. but you owe me more details when you're feeling better!" I managed a weak smile. "deal. for now, let's just get through this hangover."

tara helped me back into the dorm room, and I lay down on my bed, feeling the weight of the previous night pressing down on me. tara went back to the kitchen to finish up the soup she'd been making for me. i checkes my phone as i heard tara walk into our dorm. i still don't remember a lot but jamie sent me some pictures.

tara's eyes widened once again. she jumped into my bed as we looked through the pictures and then all of a sudden, ethan texts me.

Ethan: hey ari, how are you holding up? I hope you're not too hungover.

I hesitated for a moment before typing a response.

Ariana: hey ethan. I'm definitely feeling the effects of last night.thanks for the party, though. it was fun. I think I owe you an apology for disappearing so early.

Ethan: don't worry about it! I'm just glad you made it. if you're up for it, we could grab lunch later? I'm free in a couple of hours.

I considered the offer, not entirely sure I was up for leaving the dorm just yet, but the thought of some fresh air and good company was tempting.

Ariana: sure, lunch sounds good. let's meet up at our usual spot.

I sent the message and looked over at tara. "you wanna come too?" i asked her. "i would love to, but i have to catch up on some homework," she answered. i nodded understandingly. "and i think i'll have to start now, if i want to be done by 8 p.m." tara laughed and stood up. "alright, I'll let you get ready. I'm going to finish up the soup I was making. It should help with that hangover of yours."

I got out of my bed and started to get ready for lunch. I grabbed a comfy pair of jeans and a light sweater, hoping to look somewhat presentable despite my current state. after a quick shower and a little bit of makeup to freshen up, I felt slightly more human. as I was finishing up, I heard a knock on the door. I opened it to find ethan standing there with a warm smile and a coffee cup in hand.

"morning, sunshine," he said cheerfully. "how are you feeling?" I managed a weak smile. "morning. I'm still pretty hungover, but I think I'm on the mend."

ethan handed me the coffee. "here, I brought you this. It's supposed to help with hangovers. plus, I thought it might make you feel a bit better. and i totally didn't made that up."

I giggled lightly and took the coffee gratefully. "thank you. you didn't have to, but it's much appreciated."we walked out of the dorm together, and I couldn't help but glance back at the door, half-expecting to see tara peeking out to see how the conversation was going. ethan noticed and chuckled.

we made our way to the cafรฉ, and as we sat down and began to chat, I found that I was starting to feel a bit better. ethan's easygoing conversation and the warmth of the cafรฉ helped to ease my headache. "so," ethan said as we sipped our drinks, "anything specific you remember from last night?" I shook my head, grinning despite myself. "not a lot. just a few highlights. but I'm sure tara will fill me in on the rest." ethan raised an eyebrow. "oh, I bet she will. jamie also mentioned he had some interesting photos from the party. you might want to brace yourself for those."

I sighed once again. "yeah, I figured. I'll just have to make sure not to let them get out of hand." ethan laughed. "don't worry. I'm sure they'll be funny at most. but let's enjoy this lunch and forget about last night for a bit." we continued our conversation, and as the hours passed, I found myself feeling better. maybe last night wasn't such a disaster after all.

Aubrey's POV

I woke up to the sound of my phone vibrating on the bedside table. I squinted at the screen, seeing that it was a text from paige.

Paige: good morning! how's your head? ready for another day?

I rubbed my eyes and replied.

Aubrey: morning. head's a bit sore, but I'm alive. what's on the agenda for today?

paige's response was quick.

Paige: nothing much, just chilling. I thought we might hang out later if you're up for it. maybe catch a movie or something?

I thought for a moment. It was nice to have a low-key day after last night's excitement.

Aubrey: sounds good. let's plan for around 3? I'll text you then.

Paige: perfect! see you then.

I got out of bed and stretched, feeling the remnants of last night's drinks still lingering in my system. I wandered over to my closet and threw on some comfortable clothes, deciding to take it easy for the rest of the day.

as I made my way to the kitchen, I saw nika sitting at the table, scrolling through her phone. "hey, nika," I said, grabbing a glass of water. "how's it going?"

she looked up and grinned. "morning, aubrey. just going through some party photos jamie sent me. you made quite the impression last night." I sighed, knowing there was no avoiding it. "oh no. don't tell me there are embarrassing pictures of me out there."

nika laughed. "well, there are a few. but mostly just funny stuff. I'll send them to you if you want." I shook my head with a smile. "jamie already sent me them i just haven't checked them yet. I guess I'll have to see them eventually."

by the time I got ready to meet paige, I felt much more like myself. I was looking forward to spending the day with a friend and taking it easy.
