So today is the day, my dad's funeral. As I looked up at the brown coffin in front of me, I felt hot tears fall down my face. He died too soon, why did he have to leave me? My mom was never there for me when I was younger, she left us when I was 4. I am 16 now, so I haven't seen her in 12 years. Not that I could remember her anyways. She liked her new husband better, maybe it was all the money he had. I am not an only child. I have a brother, but he is older, which makes it worse. He is 20 and I haven't seen him in years, he moved in with some of his mates in north America. His name is Vernon. People said I looked like him, I kind of saw it, but then it's been a while since I have saw him. I hope one day I can see him again. I loved my dad so much, but now he was gone. I can't believe my brother didn't even come to dad's funeral.
I felt someone squeeze my hand. I looked to my left and saw Lisa, my best friend.
"Thanks." I whispered.

I was now sitting in an office with a lady who was a stranger to me. I wasn't going to talk to anyone, I was so distraught with everything that had happened.
"Please sign here."
She got out an expensive pen and signed her name.
"Thank you mamn and thank you for coming across here. Your plane tickets are booked for tonight for you."
I had to go move in with my mom and her "family" she didn't live in America like us, so I had to move to Korea and make new friends. I didn't want to leave my friends that I had here. My two closest friends were Jae and Lisa, but I had their numbers so hopefully I could stay in contact. My mom is Korean, but my dad was American, so I am half Korean. Many people said I looked more American though, but I did have the typical Korean looking eyes.
"Come on then." My mom said to me as she walked out the door.
"Please help me dad." I said under my breath.

We were taking our seats in the plane; our tickets were VIP of course because my mom was rich now. It was nice, I wasn't complaining but it didn't feel right. It was awkward in the plane and I just wanted it to land but we would be here for a good 17 hours.
Time Skip
I had slept for some of the way and the rest I was either eating or listening to music. I missed America already and I wasn't even off the plane yet.
I just thought, I'm going to have to go to school in Korea. I hate starting a new school and having to make friends, I am normally bad at that kind of thing.
The plane came to a stop. Finally.
When we got off my mom helped me carry all my suitcases and baggage. At least she didn't make me carry it all.
"Y/n, when we get back to the house, I want you to be on your best behaviour. Yes, I wasn't there for you, so I don't know how you are normally like, but I can't take any chances. His son is so well brought up, it would be such an embarrassment to me if you are ever rude or inconsiderate."
"Son.?" did I hear correctly.
"Yes, my husband's son, I met him after his wife passed away."
I scoffed at her. What did my father do wrong? I wished he were still here. He was much nicer than this cow.
"Yes mamn, I will be good."
"What's with the formal language. Call me mom."
"I'm sorry but, for some reason you don't really feel like my mom, I wonder why that could be?"
I saw her hold back her anger and breathe in.
"Well, you better call me mom because soon you will have to call my husband your dad and my stepson your big brother because he is half a year older than you, so don't be funny with me young lady."
I scowled and rolled my eyes.
"Whatever."
She called a taxi and we sat in silence for the whole ride.
I was so tired of travelling all the time. It was lunch time here in Korea, but I really wanted to sleep.
The taxi had pulled up to a nice-looking house. Wow my stepdad must really be rich. How did my mom get this lucky?
"Let's go." She paid the taxi driver and got out still helping me out with my bags.
I breathed in a deep breath. I was nervous. I had never met these people before and I hadn't lived with my mom in ages, so it was like moving in with strangers.
We stepped in the large doors and wow. The place was massive and so posh looking inside. I was afraid of breaking anything.
"Your room will be opposite my sons, upstairs."
I hated her calling him her son. It wasn't her son; it was my stepdads.
Now I was thinking about it, I was trying to imagine what this "son" could look like. He probably looked like this ugly stuck-up kid. Maybe perfect skin because of his dad's wealth, but horrible square glasses and a horrible, shaped nose. Small, dry lips and probably not very tall. I laughed to myself.
I wonder if he was as perfect as he was made out to be.
I carried my bags up the stairs as my mom lead me to my room.
"Here we are, this is your room."
"Thank you." I replied being as polite as I could.
She left, allowing me to settle in. I placed my bags down on my bed and unzipped them.
"So, you're the ugly brat who is moving in."
I was shocked to hear a loud voice out of nowhere.
I turned around and I was frozen. Leaning on my door frame, was the most perfect looking man I had ever seen. I'm in trouble.
