Sometimes I wonder how Bronwyn and Nate can even stand to be apart. They were crazy about each other back in high school. Now they're broken up?

I look over at Cooper and Nate as they walk towards us, holding the movie tickets. It was Nate's turn to pick a movie.

"Alright, what're we watching, Nate?" Bronwyn asks.

Nate grins. "Ringu."

Cooper's face is blank. Bronwyn's frowning.

"What's Ringu?" I ask.

"A really cool movie." Nate replies, "Alright. Seating plan. Cooper, Addy, Bronwyn then me."

I raise my eyebrows. "I'm sorry, I thought-"

Nate silences me with a look. Bronwyn's face is flushed. "Hey, uh, Addy? You came up with the seats, right?"

I look at Nate. He's staring at me, so I nod.

"Mhm. Yeah, I did." As we walk to our cinema house, Bronwyn sidles up next to me.

"Really? Seating me and Nate next to each other?"

I freeze, debating on whether I should tell her Nate altered the plan. I decide against it.

"Uh, yeah. But you'll be fine. You guys are good friends." She bites her lip and speed walks away from me.

❝ in the cinema...! ᵕ̈

It's cold in the cinema. Like, freezing. I didn't expect it to be so cold so I only brought a thin cardigan. I feel terrible for Bronwyn. I look over at her, in her seat next to Nate. Her face is flushed and she's shivering. My eyes drift towards Nate, waiting for him to offer his jacket. Just when I decide Nate's being a jerk, he looks over at Bronwyn and starts taking off his jacket.

He wraps his iconic leather jacket around Bronwyn's shoulders and her lips curve into a small smile.

"What's up with them, eh?" Cooper whispers.

I look over at Cooper. "I know! They obviously still love each other." I keep my voice down so that Bronwyn doesn't hear me.

"What was the original seating plan?"

I look at him questioningly. "I know Nate changed the seats. You wouldn't have put Bronwyn and Nate together."

"Guilty." I say, smiling, "Nate changed it, and I just didn't argue. I figured if Nate wants to sit with Bronwyn then that's progress."

Cooper laughs, then shuts up immediately as he gets a dirty look from the person in front of him.

"Sorry...!" Cooper turns back to me. "That was really good idea, Addy. Don't ever let them find out."

I roll my eyes, even though Cooper can't see me. "Obviously."

I continue watching the movie, grinning slyly.
