"How's Peeta?" Finnick asked Katniss, looking down at her.

"He's okay," Katniss shrugged, looking at Peeta. "Dehydrated."

A beeping echoed through the trees, alerting both Katniss and Finnick. Finnick didn't move for fear of disturbing Sidney's sleep, but Katniss stood. She rushed over to the parachute that came from a sponsor, eager to see what they had gotten.

Katniss opened up the metal container and took out the small scrap of paper, reading it.

"Drink up," Katniss read off of the note with a hint of confusion. Katniss took the pointy metal piece out of the container and inspected it.

"What is it?" Finnick asked, slightly whispering so he didn't wake Sidney.

"It's from Haymitch," Katniss spoke. "I think it's a spile."

Katniss took the spike and a rock, creating a hole in a tree by hitting the spile into it. A moment passed as Katniss's hope diminished, until water began pooling out of it.

"Sidney," Finnick spoke softly, he placed a hand on the side of her head and rubbed her cheek with his thumb. Her eyes fluttered open as she awoke. "We have water."

Her eyes lit up as she felt the dryness in her throat. She stood up, quickly, rushing over.

Sidney opened her mouth and let the water pool in, the feeling of her dehydration shrinking. She let out a sigh of relief as she drank. Tipping her head down and lifting the water drop on her face.

She quickly moved aside and let Finnick and Peeta drink. She looked up at the sky, mumbling a thank you meant for whoever sent and paid for this amazing object.

The four tributes laid back down in their sleeping spots, settling back in fro the night.

An hour later, loud gongs echoed through the arena. It sounded like percussionists hitting two cymbals together.

Everyone was silent as they listened to the gongs, Sidney clearly annoyed by the sound.

"I counted twelve." Katniss spoke.

"Midnight?" Finnick asked.

"Or the number of districts."

Finnick sighed, rubbing his eyes once the gongs ended. "Well, if you won't go to sleep, I will."

Sidney woke up only hours later in a haze. Her vision blurred together as she looked at Finnick's panicked face, yelling at her. She felt him grasp her hands. He pulled her up onto her feet as if pulling her out of water, because the moment she was on her feet, she realized what was going on.

Katniss was getting Peeta up, screaming something about how the fog was poisoned. Sidney didn't understand what she meant - for a moment - before she saw the large, white, puss-filled boils in Katniss's hand.

Sidney reacted quickly, making sure her sickle was secure and grabbing the spear from the ground. She held it tightly as she sprinted, Peeta and Katniss behind her and Finnick.

They were fast, but the fog was faster. It crept up on them from every corner, making the only direction they could go straight.

Sidney ran with Finnick right behind her, making sure he could pick her up if she fell down. The fog got too close to him and hit his back, making him scream as he fell to the ground in pain.

"Finnick!" Sidney screamed as she turned back around and grabbed his arm picking him up off the ground. They continued to run, Finnick stumbling every once in a while.

Sidney and Finnick heard Peeta and Katniss both cry out as the fog touched their sides. Peeta seemed to get the worst of it as he pushed Katniss ahead of him. Katniss did the same thing to him.

Katniss and Peeta stumbled and fell, the fog hitting them once again. The four of them came back together, falling to the ground.

"I can't carry him alone," Katniss panted in a panic, staring at Peeta.

"C'mon," Sidney breathed out as she hoisted Peeta onto her back, Katniss was a bit shocked by the weight she was able to carry but decided to not think about it too much as they continued to stumble through the woods.

The fog rolled upon the group's backs, creating a burning sensation as the white boils grew on their skin. Katniss tripled, causing all four of them to trip and fall down a hill until they came to a dead, unsavory stop at the end.

Sidney watched as the fog came closer and closer to her from where she laid on her back. She had finally given up. She couldn't go further. Her body ached as she could barely twitch her arm. Sidney closed her eyes, waiting for the fog to take her. But it never did. She reopened her eyes to see the fog rolling up the side of a clear wall that they had barely passed right through. Sidney didn't give it another thought as she passed out.

"The water helps!" Katniss yelled out. Sidney's eyes snapped open. How long had she been passed out? She had no idea.

Sidney found a new strength in her body as she dragged herself across the jungle floor and to the small body of water Katniss was in. Sidney pushed her body into the water, screaming as the salt water hit her wounds. But the pain was soon replaced by relief when the boils melted away from her skin, creating white fog in the water.

Sidney helped Finnick up and placed him in the water, ignoring his screams of pain. She rubbed the boils away from his skin.

"Thanks," he mumbled after most of the boils had washed away. Sidney smiled, cupping water in her hand and splashing it on his neck to rub away the last of the fog wounds.

They were unable to sleep at that point for fear of more fog appearing. They all got more water, drinking as much as their stomachs could handle. Sidney found some sassafras for the group to suck on so that the mint would trick their stomachs into thinking they're more full than they really were.

Peeta was getting a drink from the spile when Sidney heard a rustle of branches. Katniss and Finnick also noticed, standing up and watching the monkeys that came down from the treetops.

"Peeta," Katniss spoke, calmly.

"Yeah?" He asked, looking back at Katniss.

"Walk over here slowly."

Peeta looked back in front of him, noticing the monkey that was only a couple feet from his face. Peeta's eyes widened but he handled it very well, barely stumbling backward.

"Are those mutts?" Sidney whispered to the rest, barely turning her head to see Finnick nod.

The mutt in front of Peeta let out a hissing noise before baring its teeth. A sign of aggression. Sidney turned to see multiple mutts closing in on the four tributes. She held her spear tightly in her right hand with her left hovering over the sickle secured in her belt. The mutt leapt at Peeta, followed by the rest of them as chaos ensued.

A mutt jumped through the air, about to jump on top of Sidney. She held her spear up at it while it was in mid air. It impaled the monster in the stomach and went straight through it, she swung the spear and let the body fly off and hit another monkey.

Sidney stabbed at another monkey only a few feet away, running at her. She then took out her sickle and began swinging her arm left and right.

She slashed her blade across three mutts, killing them all instantly. She looked around in front of her, making sure she didn't see anymore monkeys coming to attack her from the front.

"Sidney!" Finnick yelled out, warning her. Sidney quickly turned, seeing a monkey flying towards her. She held the sickle in front of her, letting the monkey land right into it. The curved part cut too deep in the body to get back out.

Sidney didn't have enough time to focus on her spear when a monkey pounced on her. She held both ends of the spear, keeping the side against the mutt's neck to stop it from biting her. Its claws dug into her stomach, making blood pour from the wounds.

Sidney screamed in pain, grabbing the attention of Finnick who stabbed the monkey with his trident. Finnick looked down at her upper stomach, seeing that the claws ripped through her suit and created long gashes on her stomach. Blood was pouring through the wounds, but Sidney didn't seem to care as she turned and continued to fight.

Out of the corner of her eye, Sidney saw Peeta fall to the ground with a monkey about to ounce on him. Just then, a morphling burst out of the bushes and tackled the monkey.

"A morphling!" Peeta yelled after he stabbed the monkey, Katniss running up beside him. "Help me get her."

"Get to the beach!" Katniss screamed. Katniss and Peeta began running for the beach while carrying the morphling.

"Finnick, go!" Sidney yelled at him. Finnick reluctantly turned and ran for the beach, making sure she was close behind him.

They got onto the sands of the beach. Once they knew the monkeys were stuck behind another invisible wall, they stopped at the shore of the water. Sidney slowly grinned and began to mock and mess around with the mutts that were just trying to kill them but no longer couldn't, much to everyone's annoyance.

Soon enough, once Katniss and Peeta joined them back on the shore, the tributes' view of the sunset was blocked by the hovercraft that had flown in to pick up the deceased morphling.

Sidney didn't know who else was in on the agreement to protect Katniss and Peeta, but she found that it was more than she realized. She had no idea the revolution was so big.
