"I'll never stop loving you."

"What are you doing here?" I say after he continued to stare at me with an unreadable expression on his face for a couple of minutes in silence.
"I heard what today was, I just wanted to see if you were okay." He said covering up his face with less emotion.
Turning my body away from him to stare out of the wide window I sigh. "I'm going to be okay..." almost inaudibly I finish. "Someday."
He stared at me for a couple of moments seeming to be debating something before eventually taking a seat on the bed beside me.
"Please get off my bed and go home Klaus." I said rolling my puffy eyes still not facing him. I couldn't deal with him today of all days.
He ignores my comment and begins to speak, "You know Stefan was always the Hero type. Sacrificing himself for everyone around him, he fit that role so perfectly and we were complete opposites."
As he continues to speak about him I slowly turn my body around towards him and look up with a soft smile.
Him and Stefan definitely were complete opposites. Sometimes I think that's what led me to Stefan in the first place, after trusting someone so 'bad' and getting my heart broken Stefan was caring and kind and always considered me before doing anything. He felt like a breath of fresh air after drowning for years after Klaus had left.
But then he spoke up again, ruining the whole thing.
"You know besides being a rippah and the whole hero hair thing, that was a bit cliche." He says laughing once he sees my unamused face. "Kidding, kidding." With his hands raised in mock surrender.
"If he's watching, I bet my life he's wishing he could strangle you." I said staring out into the open space of the bedroom, Deep in thought. He's probably cursing up a storm very unamused with that comment. He hated being referred as 'hero hair'.
What would he think of me right now?
Would he be proud? What would we be doing if he was still alive?
"You know I may not have been around while you guys were together but if I actually knew Stefan like I think I did then I know he loved you with all of himself and he wouldn't want to see you so upset." He says genuinely, surprising me a bit. Although he was mostly this caring and gentle with me when we were together but that was many years ago.
"Sometimes I don't know what to feel. Sometimes I get so angry that he had to be so selfless. And I think 'why couldn't he have just stayed with me, be selfish for once, let someone else save the day. He promised that we had forever." I say with a few tears slipping out of my eyes.
Before I had a chance to wipe them Klaus wipes them away with his thumbs caressing my face. "Stefan knows you're too good for this world. He knows that you shouldn't have been bound to this small town forever. I was positive that you'd own half of the world by now." He says the last part nonchalantly making me laugh softly. He grinned widely seeing me smile, even the slightest.
"You get through the walls of the darkest of minds and turn them pure. Stefan loved you, and he's gone. He sacrificed himself because he knew you had so much more of your life to live. So many more plagued minds to lead to the light."
I begin sobbing uncontrollably the more I think about him, he wraps his arms around me and pulls me into his chest.
"He's gone, and it's going to be okay. Because somewhere beyond this world he's watching over you. And he's so happy with who you've become. He's proud that you're such a strong woman. And he knows that you'll be okay, because you're Camilla Forbes. And no one could ever forget such a pure soul, even in death." He whispers in my ear.
After a few minutes of gathering myself I say, Thank you Nik." My voice raspy from crying.
"Anytime little one." He says back, running his fingers through my hair.
"Will you stay with me tonight?" I look up at him hopefully. Being alone meant I would continue to overthink and become upset all over again. Klaus is the only one who won't constantly ask if I'm okay and try to talk.
He looks down at me with slightly widened eyes clearly surprised.
"Of course, love."
"I still hate you." I said with narrowed eyes, making it clear this was a one time thing.
"I expected nothing less." He replies with a small but tight smile. I can see he's hurt, but he broke my heart and left me alone to become a single mother. I don't know if I could ever truly fully forgive him for that.
I lay my head on his chest discreetly breathing in his scent that I had missed these past years as I drifted into a deep sleep.
3rd POV
Jace goes to walk into his mothers room after a long day of training with Alec trying to give his mom the space she said she needed but after a while ultimately decided she needed him.
He touches the door handle just as Alaric comes walking down the hall shaking his head at him.
"She's okay. She doesn't need you tonight. " He says looking everywhere but at the teen.
"I don't think so, you know how she gets every year, look I just wanna lay with her and tell her I'm here for her." Jace replies with confusion all over his face as to why Alaric wouldn't let him in his own mothers room.
Alaric sighs and rubs his hand down his face, cursing Camilla internally.
"Who?" Jace asks slightly suspicious seeing as he just saw his sisters and just left Alec .
"Klaus." Alaric says simply wincing as he watches the teens facial expression immediately change into one of anger.
Jaces eyes widen and he goes to burst into the room when Alaric grabs his forearm. "Look I don't like it either but, if any one can help her through this it's him."
Jace stares at him for a second searching his eyes for honesty and once he finds it he nods and sighs walking away from his mothers room with conflicting thoughts.
As Camilla lightly snores on top of Klaus' chest he smiles slightly hearing Alaric and Jace's conversation outside of the door.
He then became determined. He was going to get her back and show her how much he loves and needs her.
"I'll never stop loving you Cami." He whispers looking down at the sleeping blonde.
